I will say I didn't love my choice, but I thought their bubbles were solid so I'm sure other tea selections would've been nice. I ended up sitting in the area by myself for quite a while after getting my drink and the staff were pretty chill. They were also playing anime in the background which served as a nice distraction. It started as a great boba tea lounge with Japanese cheesecakes, but now it's more of a random pastry shop selling whatever the owner brings to the shop to sell. I miss the original vibe, but I kept coming back. Lately, though, the boba teas have been hit or miss, it really depends on who makes them. At this point, they're just not worth the price. What really bothered me today was seeing an automatic gratuity added to my receipt and the staff didn't mention it. The girl serving me didn't let me know about it, so I ended up leaving an extra tip on top of that without realizing. When I asked her about it, she said she didn't know when the policy started and that the automatic tip doesn't go to her, just the extra tip does. So either the owner is stealing from the staff, or she's is lying to get extra tips. Either way, it didn't seem right. I've stuck with this place through all its changes, but the lack of honesty and transparency is a deal-breaker for me. Sadly, I won't be coming back. I will definitely not come back for mediocre boba tea that comes with a 15% automatic gratuity.. SORRY!!

Here you will find several chocolate related desserts so we ordered the strawberries, chocolate bubble tea, and Ferrero Rocher shake. The Dubai strawberry was very good with large juicy fruits drenched in smooth melted chocolate. The cup also included a pistachio paste and kadayif giving it a good crispy texture. My only complaint was that the pistachio flavors were not as strong. The chocolate bubble tea was solid you can still taste milk tea taste. But the star of the meal was their Ferro Rocher shake smooth and nutty with a little Nutella drizzle. If you want some unique desserts pick up an order from Sweet and Sticky.

The place isn't that big and seating is first come first serve. I got my food to go and I asked for chili oil on the side. Since it was not traditional bubble tea (but somewhat fancier flavors), I asked the young man at the register if I could take one of the menus to the car to show my husband. The young man at the register looked uncomfortable with this. Nevermind, I told him and left. I headed right over to Hotline Boba where I got 3 freshly made Taro bubble tea with a side of great customer service that didn't make me feel like I was about to steal a 25 cent menu. At a minimun , Midtown Boba, the lesson is that any respectable beverage establishment should have to go menus.
