Since Sunshine opened I've been obsessed with their branding and design. It is extremely cute and perfectly captures Miami's essence through its colors and shapes. That being said, I was really excited to see it in person and give it a try! Im not gonna lie... Location is not the best for us locals. But i understand they want to reach tourists and that's ok. I love that the menu is huge, with plenty of options to choose from. I had the famous Miami Iced (it was a regular latte, nothing especial) and a breakfast sandwich that completely exceeded my expectations. It was very warm, fresh and delicious - a great surprise! Just like the branding, everything in store is also cute and you can tell they put thought in every detail. However, it is very tigh, so I wish the store was bigger and they had more indoor seating. You can tell there is a lot of investment in the marketing and the actual shop itself but the coffee did not slap for me. I usually love local coffee shops especially when they have their own coffee. The issue I have was that the bag of beans was a very cool and fun style but nothing on the actual coffee? No origin information nothing on the actual farms. It feels like more marketing vs craftsmanship on the actual coffee. Staff was kind! I got one a basic iced latte with a cold foam on top. The foam on top was made with regular/non fat milk- not a traditional cold foam was very watery. The coffee was very bitter and no flavor notes. I couldn't even finish it sadly- 8 dollars wasted. I thought I'd give Sunshine coffee a shot as I've heard pretty good things but was unfortunately disappointed. I asked for the Miami Iced which is essentially just an iced latte with cold foam. There was no cold foam, it was just whisked milk which was foamy for a few seconds and then gone. Cold foam is usually made with a half and half or heavy cream to be a topper on the coffee. The iced latte didn't taste the best. The milk was watery despite being whole milk, it tasted like non fat and the espresso was very bitter and tasted burnt. Sadly, I could not drink it. It was a $9+ wasted. Staff was pretty kind and helpful with questions. The shop itself is cute and lively with colors and in a nice location attached to a boutique hotel in Miami Beach. read more

I had just enjoyed a bit of a spa day around the corner from here and wanted to treat myself to a fancy beverage to cap off a relaxing afternoon. Maybe I should have gone with their signature beverages--coffee and matcha, but I was craving fruit so I went the smoothie route, the Afterglow to be specific. Mango, pineapple, banana, ube, cowboy colostrum, and collagen peptides. For my base I went with the coconut water. Sounds delightful and healthy! Alas, it wasn't what I was expecting. It was all just banana. I picked up no mango or pineapple at all. Not bad (I like banana!) but definitely kind of disappointing. The space, however, is ADORABLE. I love the design and the decor. The whole aesthetic is great. Service was a bit aloof but fine. I believe they were close to closing I think they were ready to get me out the door. I wouldn't shy away from visiting again in the future, but next time I'd go with one of their signature drinks and I'm definitely more than curious to try some of their food! If you don't look carefully, you could miss this tiny coffee shop attached to a hotel. Stepping inside you'll realize the real draw isn't coffee, but the exciting pastry selection! Lots of creativity and deliciousness. Pancake Cake: Perhaps the most memorable. This is warmed up, covered in maple syrup and topped with butter. It really does have a thick pancake-y type texture and taste! Crack Pie: A rich chocolate pie with a crispy cracking crust. Dense and delicious. Strawberry Matcha Brownie: Another unique entry where the "brownie" is actually green and pink. The green section has the earthy matcha taste. The pink section kinda taste like a strawberry cheesecake swirl and is the highlight. Blueberry Coffee Cake: Like a regular coffee cake, but loaded with blueberries on the bottom. It's like someone was able to take the awesome concept of a blueberry muffin and make it better. read more

This place was just as the name suggests-- a cup of sunshine! I had visited in the Miami Beach botanical gardens location, and really enjoyed it. When I saw they were opening a brick and mortar I had to sprint there. The people taking my order were friendly. The place is small but clean and decorated very nice and bright, they had a fire playlist also. I had their classic iced latte with cold foam-- outstanding! So refreshing and good. I also loved my pastry! It was a brown butter focaccia cinnamon roll. The icing was incredible I can't say enough good things. read more

The store is super cute and has a great vibe. Workers are super friendly and they have great quotes reminding you of how amazing it is to be part of this vibrant city. The coffee was alright. Looks better than it tastes. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch has a good aftertaste but the coffee taste overpowers the flavor. It comes unsweetened and I regret adding sweetener. Wouldn't order the Cinnamon Toast Crunch again but I did enjoy it. The matcha itself was great but the drink was too watery and the infusion tastes a bit artificial and gives a hint of a milkshake flavor. The hashbrown is really good. It has a flavorful hint of truffle and their sauce goes well with it. A big overpriced but it is good. The spicy tuna toast is great, the portion is small but I did enjoy it. I had just gotten into town and was wondering where I would stop for breakfast. Shout out to my friends and colleagues who are always excited to share their local favorites! It's hard to miss this bright yellow delight right off of Espanola Way. It's a tight spot, and from what I can tell they are always poppin'. I shared a hibiscus lemonade and I got their breakfast wrap chocolate crack pie, mini donuts, and tasted spicy tuna toast. Eliminate with sweeter than I thought, so I didn't really get to enjoy it until the ice melted... Which wasn't hard given how hot it was XD. The wrap was just what I wanted and it was so delicious... Same with the donuts and toast! But my favorite??? That crack pie was by far my favorite thing. I was devastated when I took my last bite. And there were so many other pastries on display. When I came, it was pretty busy. There are a bunch of communal stools scattered about, but it's otherwise a pretty tight spot. I would love to come at a point in the day when I know it's not crowded. It would be fun to grab a spot in the corner and just people watch. read more

Sunshine coffee is so cute! Located in the Esme hotel on Espanola way it is the perfect spot to fuel up for the day. I recently did a staycation and on the first morning popped in here for a bite and coffee. I opted for the Miami Iced which is a double shot of espresso, your choice of milk, and cold foam. Now, can an iced coffee in a shop with the cutest branding to ever exist solve all your problems? Maybe not - but it sure isn't going to hurt. I also got an everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was great. My friend got an Americano which he enjoyed. On top of being a cute spot - the service was so friendly. I have a unique name, and the team member helping us named Ralphie related to having people spell your name wrong (I hope I spelled it right here lol). I ordered 'The Miami Iced Matcha' with honeycomb caramel and oat milk. Quality of the matcha wasn't great, not sure if it's an already sweetened powder but quality is lower than Starbucks' matcha powder. The cold foam was explained to me as being just frothed up oat milk but this was disappointing. I assumed the consistency would be better, on the creamier side. However sometimes oat milk itself isn't creamy. The snacks I got, a truffle hash brown and pistachio chocolate chip cookie, were good. read more

I came here after shopping because it looked like a really cute coffee shop, and the coffee looked good as well. However, the only good thing about this place is that it is very cute. First, the customer service was horrible they were rude, not welcoming, and lacking basic manners. Second, the coffee was horrible. The espresso was not made fresh on the spot making it taste burnt, the cold foam wasn't thick enough, so it sank all the way to the bottom, and the flavored syrup was disgusting and just piled up at the bottom. Do not come here if you are looking for good coffee because you will not be getting it. read more

Noticed this new coffee spot and stopped in for our am coffee. The store is super bright and cute, but pretty small if you're looking to sit somewhere for breakfast. Luckily we were just picking up and the guys in there were very friendly and made the coffees really quickly. Super cute new storefront of Sunshine Coffee in south beach! The exterior and interior are beautifully decorated and everything is butter yellow! They have a good range of coffees, matchas, warm breakfast and pastries. Service was quick and efficient on a weekday morning. I ordered the banana babe coffee which is sweetened with an oat milk based syrup that I was told is made in house from oat milk, bananas, dates, and vanilla with no processed added sugar. The barista was nice enough to let me try the syrups before ordering. I ordered my drink with almond milk instead of oat with no extra charge. The coffee also came with a cold foam, though it melted pretty fast. Overall, the drink was not too sweet (which is how I prefer my coffee, I'm sure you can ask for more syrup if you like it sweeter!) and the espresso was very tasty. The pastries looked delicious and I want to go back to try. I would go back to try more coffees as well! read more
