The brisket was OK, some spots were very dry and chewy, others very tender but they didn't put enough BBQ sauce on the meat, the okra were mostly the tops of the pods so they were chewy and the breading was tasteless, it REALLY needed the ranch dressing, the mac & cheese was....um, nope! WTH was that!!??? Greasy, clumpy, spots of white "cheese" and ziti noodles, with onions and bread or crackers in it!!! Just, nope! They didn't give me the requested bbq or ranch sauces, hell they didn't even give me cutlery or a dang napkin!!!!! So, between the scrawny chicken and the WTH mac & cheese, I'll not be giving them a 3rd try. Sorry guys, try harder. read more

I saw this restaurant in our local magazine here, however I live very close to it. I've only tried the "Hot Link" both times I visited. Both times it took them FOREVER to make? (I thought what could take a freakin hot sausage so long to make? )However it was well worth the wait! They also gave me some extra (Bobbee O's BBQ sauce for a small fee) for dipping. I also had their Mac & Cheese I didn't enjoy it much bc it had onions baked in it. However, this is a pretty (expensive) good, place to dine! read more

I can't saw anything about the food here because I never got to try it. I ordered a simple Brisket Sandwich. Not too difficult, right. Apparently it is here. At the time, Saturday afternoon, about 2:45. They had 4 customers at the time and 6 employees. They had so little to do, they just walked around and slowly. I saw the supervisor when two orders came out of the kitchen for which they could not find customers. This led to more confusion as they tried to figure out why. After waiting 25 minutes for my one sandwich, they came to me and asked what I was waiting for. Then they couldn't find the order, acted like they never heard of it. At this point, I left. I simply couldn't wait any longer. I didn't even ask for a refund. I just imagined what hassle that would have been. Let them keep the money. It was worth it to find out how hopeless this place is. I ordered a 1/2 rack, Mac n cheese, and fries. Though the food was good, it was not worth the experience. We Got there at 12:30. Food was not served until 2:00. I don't know how this place is still open. The service is horrible, no one should have to wait that long for food. I could have killed a cow and made my own ribs in the time it took them to prepare my food. My (+1) went back to work hungry. I took her food to go. More people asked for their money back and/or complained than were actually fed. I won't make this mistake again. read more

This is usually my go-to quick-service BBQ place for the area, and the food is great and decently priced. However, service could be improved. I'm disappointed they removed online ordering - I called and got put on hold for just under 5 minutes, but still a long time to just be waiting on a silent phone line. Great BBQ, meat is cooked perfectly and the sauce is amazing. I really like sweet potatoes fries and am a bit of a snob but they didn't disappoint in the least. Fried pickles were good as well. One meat dinner meal was perfect size for me. read more

There is so much love and care that goes into their brisket and Mac n cheese that this has become a staple in my life. I give this place a 3.5. I couldn't figure out the half. I ordered from here this evening. instead of my go to BBQ place. The portions are good. However, the wings are not smoked as opposed to grilled. The BBQ sauce has a good taste. The tea bags for the sweet tea were brewed too long you can taste it. I could order again. I normally don't write reviews but after giving the restaurant 3 different tries, on 3 separate occasions and end up with the same issue happening each time, a review is much needed.... Sooooo, each time I order , my order is incorrect... the restaurant is like 8 minutes from my home so making a second trip to the location to fix my order wasn't to big of a deal... but who wants to order food , get home , the order not be right and turn around and go back to the restaurant to wait an additional 30 minutes or longer for them to fix your order.... Tonight I ordered something simple , very simple, had my daughter go pick it up and when she got back, guess what ...... the order was wrong...... called the store only for the employee to tell me that the cook doesn't like fixing chicken the way I ordered it (it's a option on their menu, nothing special) so he didn't make it and that's why my chicken is not correct....... Us, the cosmetology crew at northmeck, get Bobbee O's bbq delivered at least once a week. After placing an order we called back because we heard the wrong total ($74 instead of 64.02)We called back and were greeted with a rude cashier who was "tired" of us asking questions and kept hanging up in our faces. Not only did she huff&puff, she chucked and sucked her teeth, and even added an "oh my god". We canceled our order after being hung up on at least 3 times due to bad service and called back to speak to the manager. Apparently the "manager" (who conventionally sounded like the same rude cashier), instead of dealing with the issue of bad service, said they couldn't deliver to us any more. This is not the way to run a business and we are not ordering again. You have lost our service. read more

I called ahead to place a to go/pick up order. I was traveling from East Charlotte- Independence Blvd & was asked to hold. I held for a total of 8 minutes which was the entire it took me to make it to the restaurant. Very unhappy with poor customer service. Yeah, Bobbee No's. Came in on a Sunday with the kids. Only people in there. Ordered some wings and chicken. 15 people came-all have been fed before us. We have 3 entrees...30 min and still nothing. New waitress and she struggles with where things were at and how to handle many customer issues as I watched from my booth, she was nice and trying but appeared lack of training. Now on to the food l, I ordered the brisket with beans, Mac n cheese and hush puppies. The beans are ordinary which I was looking forward to. The Mac n cheese was good, different cheese and pasta. The hush puppies were quite tasty,nothing special but good. The brisket was fatty and chopped up a bit. Guessing chef was on a hurry as the line Began to go to the door and order times were 30 min+ , the other concern is the kids size mason jar, refills every other drink.. overall the food is 3.5-4 stars. Went for lunch. Always a lot of cars in the parking lot which I consider to be a good sign. Dining room has great decore and was very clean. Ordered the brisket and pulled pork plate. This is the kind of business I love to support and I hate to even leave a negative review. However, the meat portion sizes were quite small. I eat at a lot of BBQ joints and this was the least amount of meat I have ever seen on my "plate". The sauce is fantastic and the Pork had a good smokey flavor. The brisket was very fatty for sliced brisket. In fact, it was mushy in spots and was of less quality than I have had even on brisket sandwiches. Any excuse or reason I have to make a trip down to North Carolina I always need to make a stop at Bobbee Os. So far one of the best bbq food I have ever had! My favorite is the Pork ribs, beef brisket, with a side mac and cheese, beans, and collard greens. My fiance had the pull pork and chicken which is also sooooo good! Friendly staff and a clean resturant is also a bonus. If only they had place like this in Boston. Looking foward to my next visit. read more

Love, love, LOVE this place! I've never been to the location as I always order delivery... I do pay an extra delivery fees but it is soooooo worth it! The meat is tender and perfectly seasoned. All the sides actually taste like they've been made fresh. I don't think I could even pick a favorite side. I always get brisket and ribs... and let me tell you, yum! It's always packaged nicely and the drivers have been very polite. I'm currently visiting from VA and just had to get some before going back up north.
