We decided to check this place out while on vacation in Charlotte. Unfortunately, we happened to visit during the Chris Brown and Usher concert weekend, so the entire area was extremely busy. We attended the Karaoke R&B Brunch, which sounded like it would be such a fun experience. The atmosphere had potential, and the staff was friendly, but unfortunately, the service was a bit disappointing. The restaurant wasn't crowded enough, in my opinion, for us to have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for our food. When the food finally arrived, though, it was hot and tasted good, so that definitely helped. Our waitress did apologize for the wait and gave us two complimentary desserts, which I appreciated. And let me tell you--the red velvet cake was SO moist and delicious! I honestly wanted to go back and order another slice. Overall, I'm definitely on the fence about recommending this place. The staff was friendly, but I do think the service could have been a little more professional and attentive. I would consider giving them another try because I really enjoyed the food and the concept. Hopefully, the next visit will be a better experience! read more

I found this restaurant on Yelp and I am so happy I went! At first I was going to order to go but glad I decided to have a seat and dine in. The chef has a cooking show that plays on a tv screen. I like that you can see him making the dishes. I watched him make some cubed steak and grits! I didn't order that plate but definitely thinking about going back before I leave the city. I ordered the shrimp and Lobster Mac and cheese. There were some nice chunks of lobster! Their shrimp was definitely seasoned well with a nice fried crunch. From the service, to the food, which was very lackluster, to the fact that the only real beverage that they were able to offer were these lemonades that did not have refills, this place was very overpriced and not delicious at all. I've ordered from here for lunch and dinner so many times. Weekends usually require about a 45 minute wait but lunch isn't bad. So they are my go to for: fish and also waffles. Consider it a fast food spot but they do have seating in the restaurant. I eat a lot of seafood so typical fast food spots for lunch don't work for me but the fish at Cuzzo's??? MAN! Sooooo good. I've been a supporter here since they started in Charlotte and was glad to have location open in the university area. I usually order online because the wait times are brutal and the parking can be a nightmare. It was a no for me but the locals loved it. They are known for their lobster Mac and cheese. Baby that ain't nobodies lobster. I'm from Florida and we know real seafood when we see and taste it. That was imitation crab meat, which is mushy in texture when cooked. I hate that they are lying to people. If they like it just call it seafood Mac and Cheese. No lobster was in this stuff. We order some food and i got a side of the lobster mac which was really good and my girl got the normal mac. The food was fine except for the normal mac that my girl got it was kinda hard and didn't break apart that easy. My girl hadn't even took a bite so I thought with the amount of money I had spent I could ask them to take it off my bill. They gave me a really hard time and said that they didn't do refunds and I sat back down. I was expecting more. The family and I went for brunch on a Sunday. They open at 12pm and we were there at about 5 after...second people in line. They have dine-in option, but I'm not sure why. We had to pay for our food up front-which included a 5% "service charge" and then asked for gratuity before being served. The woman taking our order didn't want to be there as her hospitality was non-existent. We ordered...paid...then sat down. Paid .50 for a cup of tap water ‍. We waited an hour for our food. It came out in plastic to go containers...no tray. So...yeah, we tipped on service we didn't get. They forgot our .50 tap water so we had to get up to get it. The food...it was hit or miss. So the waffles were fantastic. The fried shrimp was a little salty but palatable. The chicken wings-every flavor-was fried hard and reheated at least 3 times over. Dry is an understatement. The collard greens were interesting. I'll leave it at that. But the most disappointing thing was the lobster mac n cheese. I couldn't find the lobster and then when I finally found a piece, it was imitation lobster. We ordered the six wings and half lobster Mac n cheese. The wings were so hard like they had been sitting out for hours. I placed the order at 12:55pm and received an alert that the food would been ready at 1:10 through 1:20. I arrived at 1:15 so there was no way the meal should have been room temperature. But why is it the same no matter we go in Charlotte? 40-minutes before your food arrives at the table and there are other guest that come in afterwards and they get their food 1st.
