I like that you can see him making the dishes. I watched him make some cubed steak and grits! I didn't order that plate but definitely thinking about going back before I leave the city. I usually order online because the wait times are brutal and the parking can be a nightmare. That was imitation crab meat, which is mushy in texture when cooked. I hate that they are lying to people. If they like it just call it seafood Mac and Cheese. No lobster was in this stuff. The food was fine except for the normal mac that my girl got it was kinda hard and didn't break apart that easy. My girl hadn't even took a bite so I thought with the amount of money I had spent I could ask them to take it off my bill. They gave me a really hard time and said that they didn't do refunds and I sat back down. I was expecting more. The family and I went for brunch on a Sunday. They open at 12pm and we were there at about 5 after...second people in line. They have dine-in option, but I'm not sure why. We had to pay for our food up front-which included a 5% "service charge" and then asked for gratuity before being served. The woman taking our order didn't want to be there as her hospitality was non-existent. We ordered...paid...then sat down. Paid .50 for a cup of tap water ‍. We waited an hour for our food. It came out in plastic to go containers...no tray. So...yeah, we tipped on service we didn't get. They forgot our .50 tap water so we had to get up to get it. The food...it was hit or miss. So the waffles were fantastic. The fried shrimp was a little salty but palatable. The chicken wings-every flavor-was fried hard and reheated at least 3 times over. Dry is an understatement. The collard greens were interesting. I'll leave it at that. But the most disappointing thing was the lobster mac n cheese. I couldn't find the lobster and then when I finally found a piece, it was imitation lobster.
