Me and my partner came in today after wanting to check out Bobbie's for a while, and I'm so happy we did. It's not every day that trying out a new restaurant is so rewarding! We got a potato curry to share with a side of chickpeas and spinach and every bite was packed with extraordinary flavor, it made me wonder why I bother spending money at some other places where the food comes out flavorless and I have to take up the burden of seasoning it myself. The woman working the register was very pleasant to talk to and made sure all of my and my partners questions were answered. The Roti Hut shall see me many more times in the future if I have anything to say about it. read more

Excited to find and try this place out. Love that they cook to order on some of the foods making it fresh. I ordered the chicken fried rice lunch portion. There was an option of fried chicken or jerk chicken. The fried rice was very tasteful! We also got doubles and pholourie. The pholourie was soft and the sauce was thick and sweet. The doubles were okay, the chickpeas had a little curry taste which was good, the shell of the doubles weren't as soft. Looking forward to try something else soon! read more

I've recently moved to GA and though I loved Clermont and can think of many reasons to have stayed, I can honestly say this is one of the features I miss the most. They make the rotis fresh as you order so it doesn't get any better except it does, bc everyone is beyond pleasant and engaging. Let me start off by saying that Bobbie is SO nice and genuine. But, let's talk about the food. I have been coming in regularly for a few months now and I've sampled everything. Goat curry, chicken curry, jerk chicken, fried chicken, low mein, rice n pea, cabbage, daal, the mango lashee drink, the mauby drink... everything is exceptional. Packed fulled of flavor and cooked to immense tenderness. Today I had the pleasure of trying the fish(I think she called it butterfish) and it was in a red sauce. every time I pass through this town I eat here. bobbie always makes the food amazing every time. the chicken is always so flavorful and comes right off the bone. bobbie is also so nice and all the workers there are as well. the chowmein and fried rice are my personal favorites as I get them each time. stop here if you're passing through. it's definitely worth it. read more

Hands down- 5 stars!! We had the doubles which were cheery and delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and heat! I had a curry goat roti, stuffed with potatoes, chick peas, cabbage, and lots of scotch bonnet sauce (home made!). My wife had boneless chicken curry also with potatoes snd chick peas... and spinach! It's nice that they offer boneless chicken just in case you don't want to deal with bones in your roti. It took very little time to get our order, and took it to go, although we could have eaten in as well... they have booth seating around the perimeter inside the restaurant. Finding good roti near me is very difficult, so we researched places near Orlando on our way to a concert. If you're in the Clermont/Orlando area and looking for roti, I definitely recommend Bobbies! The roti tasted true to Caribbean style roti I am accustomed to eating when visiting family in the islands. Stopped by for a quick lunch break during their lunch special. Paid $29 for a soda and two plates of food. Seems pretty expensive for what it was. Upon walking in the restaurant I noticed they offer seating but I don't think I would eat inside since it was very hot in there. I ordered my food to go. The owner is very friendly and seems personable. I ordered the chicken curry with a roti on the side with white rice. The chicken wasn't very flavorful seemed bland. The curried chick peas and potatoes were delicious. I would probably just order that next time. The white rice was inedible. To mushy and lacked salt. For the price not sure if I would return. Ok food, horrible service - I visited this restaurant for the first time this weekend, along with my family - traveling from Orlando. My wife heard about this restaurant, and really wanted to try it, so we stopped for lunch in route to a tourist farm in Clermont. I attempted to order the curry fish - which was displayed on the lunch menu chalkboard behind me (available 11-3). The young lady at the cash register was uncertain about the fish being available, and went to go check with the older lady (presumably the owner) in the back. No problem. The older lady returned from the back and indicated the fish was not a lunch item. She went into a monologue about how it was a dinner item, and it would take 30 mins to prepare...etc I am thinking - 1. If it's not a lunch item (but implied to be available through her unsolicited monologue) - why is it on the lunch menu? I then attempted to order something else from the main menu (with had no hours/restrictions) listed - and that item was also "not available". The ordering is becoming trivial at this point. In an effort to reset expectations - I asked the older lady : What items do you have they are available for lunch? She responded by berating me - "Can't you read?!" as she points back to the aforementioned, questionably available chalkboard lunch menu. Whoa ma'am - I was done at that point. She was disrespectful and insulted me (the customer) on my literacy. You don't ever talk to a customer that way - especially when I never lead with any disrespect - and was only trying to ask questions about YOUR menu to support YOUR business. I ultimately did get the curry shrimp which was seasoned well. The food was mediocre and the service was more than worse. I will not be returning, and will be sure to share my experience with others. It's too bad - because I think supporting small, local businesses is important - but it is not more important than fair service and product. read more

One is for the time it took for this place to complete our order. 45 min is ridiculous. We realized that this is a new business, but most people aren't patient when it comes to their food. It is apparent that the only they operate on is ISLAND TIME so bring a lot of patience. The food The food was delicious. We had the curry chicken roti and a chicken patty. Thank you to Bobbie who graciously took and prepared a large order! Call ahead so she can have your meal ready and keep in mind there is no dining in right now due to the 'rona. Don't let that deter you, it's great. First my loving wife and I split the curry chicken lunch special with Dahl Puri and cook up rice. Dahl Puri is packed full of spices and is very flavorful. Like a tortilla but with flavor and love. The special also came with potato stew....Great. The chicken fell off the bone. Amazing. Next I had to try the Fish Cakes. Great fish flavor, moist and amazing especially with her special homemade hot sauce. I loved them. Continuing with my fish kick, I also had to try the Bake and Cod Salt Fish. Beautiful chewy pastry filled with a cod mixture, her coleslaw and what I'm assuming is a nice scotch bonnet pepper flavor. A little kick, a lot of flavor. A meal in itself. Fantastic. But wait, chicken patties! Yep we had to try them. Similar to Jamaican style but there is an added spice in there that gave it more depth. The wife called it earthy flavor, I said they were heavenly. Veggie Samosas were the largest I've experience here in Central Florida. Again, very flavorful, great with the tamarind sauce. Seeing a pattern? Our friend shared her side order of sweet plantains. I loved them. She also got the chicken curry with Roti. Believe it or not the Roti was amazing as well. (Sarcasm people it's called Bobbie's ROTI Hut for a reason. Should be called Bobbie's Roti Palace) If you're adventurous and are willing to drive past the Outback, Cracker Barrel every other chain in Clermont this place is worth it. Go. Wow!!! First time trying Guyanese cuisine and we were NOT disappointed. Tried a variety of vegetarian dishes and each was better than the last. Everything was full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. My fiancé is normally not a fan of pumpkin, but the savory pumpkin dish with roti changed his mind. Bobbies Roti Hut was one of the food trucks that was at my work function for lunch. I decided to give it a try. I tried to order the fried fish or stewed fish but they did not have any. It was on the truck menu but they didn't not specify that they weren't serving fish for the function until ordering. Was disappointed but I ordered the chicken curry instead with rice and peas and cabbage. The chicken was nice and juicy. Not dry at all. I enjoyed the cabbage. The rice was great. I had extra curry sauce to go with my rice. Overall I was satisfied with my lunch. Next time I would like to try to the fishes. read more

Encountered this truck @Cyclovia which was taking place near Lake Eola Park and am super glad gave it a go. The goat curry which I had with rice was awesome. I got hearty chunks of goat pieces which were tender and perfectly seasoned with awesome peppery (think more black pepper heat rather than chili) heat in every bite. Also the rice wasn't plain white but it was Caribbean style dirty rice and red beans - I did think better quality rice could have been used, but the taste was good. There was also a lovely side salad with cabbage and carrots - tasted very natural, wasn't overtly dressed and added a refreshing clean bite to the heavier curry taste of the other two items. The sorrel drink was off the hook - absolutely home-made,and it had the perfect amount of zing and ginger and best of all wasn't overtly sweet. I could have happily guzzled a pint of this stuff. So I was in search of my lobster taco fix (no disrespect to them) and happened upon a series of food trucks on Edgewater. I've tried SEVERAL Carribbean restaurants in the Orlando area but none hit the spot. They were either overcooked, lacked flavor, or simply just weren't up to par. FINALLY I discovered what I was looking for in Bobbies Roti Hut. The stew fish roti was so most and flavored to perfection. I planned to take a couple bites then carry the rest home. The only thing left was the basket they put the food in. I was LITERALLY soaking up the remaining gravy with my last piece of roti. NOW let me also fill you in on something else. THE MOST AMAZING, MADE TO ORDER, ALL NATURAL and TRULY REFRESHING MANGO libation I've even consumed. BRH food was so good that I bought 2 ADDITIONAL orders with the mango drink to have for lunch and dinner the following day. Now let's talk about Bobbie. She is a beautiful and exceptionally kind woman, as well as, a great cook. We chatted while she (and her team) prepared my order. I felt like I was sitting in the kitchen with my sister, while she prepared some of the family favorites. Bobbie's visited our Corporate office park so I tried it. Had the Stew Fish with all Cabbage and Carrots. Eating my vegetables. It was excellent! Great flavor. Had a side of the hot pepper sauce which was quite spicy and complemented the taste of the fish well. Price was fair and portion size was just right. Next time maybe I try the Goat Curry.
