Stopped by yesterday to grab dinner and even though there was a lengthy line it went quickly . The decor upon walking in was beautiful. There is a full bar area and coolers for drinks and also an area for snacks. I grabbed the sorrel and passion fruit drinks from the cooler and once I made my way to the window I decided to order an express plate of rice and peas with gravy and jerk chicken, A small brown stew chicken plate with rice and peas and Mac and cheese. I ordered 2 Jerk Chicken Jamaican patties and I took everything to go! My husband only likes jerk chicken & rice and peas so the express plate was for him and swallowed it down not even sure if he chewed. My brown stew chicken was delicious and well seasoned and I love that they weren't stingy with the meat and gravy. The Mac and cheese side was a up charge and it was cheesy and good. The drinks were delicious and also the patties. The customer service was great and the prices are very reasonable. I would def come back and try some other items especially the Jerk chicken . I visited Flavors of Jamaica quite by accident. I went to the bagel shop next door and, upon exiting, noticed this unassuming shop for the first time. Nice place. Nice people. Great food! I purchased a number of things to take home and enjoy during my football Sunday. Spicy beef patty, jerk chicken patty, curry chicken patty, some brown stew chicken, calilloo and some fried tilapia. Walked in after visiting the next door bagel shop . First impressions were good, no strong smelling scent. Clear easy to read menus, unfortunately most of what I wanted was not available at 09:00 in the morning. I ordered salt fish as a side order and cabbage; ackee . Drinks were coconut water from the refrigerator. The portions were ample and fresh tasting, service was prompt and informative. Prices were reasonable. I would like to try the other options next time but not sure how early I need to be there. I was pleased to know they could fry the snapper if requested ( was not on display) . Overall its a neat Jamaican fast food restaurant and seems to have caring people running it. Unfortunately I had to deduct a point (star) for not having the food items so early in the morning but fortunately for you your business is thriving to the extent you're selling out early. This was probably my 3rd time trying this place and the fact that it's right next to my job is nice. With the new restrictions for COVID-19 you can only do carryout and there are markings on the floor to assure social distancing. I came in for lunch and ordered the Jerk Chicken that comes with a side of Jerk Sauce. It also came with rice with Pigeon Peas (I had Oxtail Gravy poured on top of the rice) and for a side I got the Cabbage. I really like how they cook their Cabbage because there's still a crunch to it and not too soft. However, I do recommend adding some salt to it because the texture is perfect but a little on the bland side. When I started to drive back home with the foods. The jerk chicken was smelling so good, I had hard time not to eat some before I get home. My boyfriend loved his jerk chicken, rice and beans. I live in a city with 1 Jamaican restaurant so they're waaaaay overly priced and skimpy on the portions cos they can be. So it's always wonderful to visit a place that has options and competition. And Negril is the best Jamaican-food experience I've had in Orlando. From the "I'll be right with you, ma'am" to the huge helping of peas and rice, cabbage and curry goat. And THEY asked ME what kind of gravy I wanted on my rice. Honestly, eating here was really a treat, and my $5.99 curry goat plate lasted two meals. 6 bucks for two meals--you can't beat that! The goat was tender. Some pieces had bones, obviously, but most of the pieces I got didn't have bones which means I got a nice helping of meat. The peas and rice were delicious, especially with the goat gravy on it. Next time I'll get oxtail gravy and I can't wait! The cabbage was cooked nicely; not mushy or overcooked. Delicious food can be found here at the former Negril restaurant. I came what I thought was late lunch at 1pm and I waiting in line for at least 20mins. The line wrapped around on the inside, but the reward was worth it. I love the oxtail gravy so much that when I ordered I was pleased when they asked which gravy I'd like on my rice and peas. There is a bar area and lots of high top tables around and some convenience store worthy items like drinks, snacks, and other items. The curry chicken and the jerk chicken were my choices I wanted today. I asked for rice and peas for each and cabbage. The chicken in both dishes were to tender it was falling apart with a touch of my fork. Rice and peas were cooked perfectly. If I had to choose I would say go for the jerk chicken but that curry chicken is a very close second. Next time I would try the Oxtail for sure. Formerly known as Negril. Everything (staff and menu) has stayed the same except they expanded their space by adding a small bar and clean dining area! This place is always packed and these ladies hustle. You can't beat their $5.99 lunch special. Parking is a hassle but the food is delicious and fresh! I would always get the jerk chicken and curry chicken after work but now that I'm not around the area anymore I still try to make a trip there whenever I'm craving It. Love this place. The lunch specials are always great. If you pay in cash there's a discount. I've only tried jerk chicken, brown stew chicken and curry chicken and all were flavorful and the portions good too. Only downside is the parking. There are a few designated parking spots for this place so you'll have to park down the other side of the plaza and walk usually. read more

My favorite is oxtail, rice and beans with veggies. The beef pattie is good the chicken pattie is spicy! I've tried the curry and it's delicious as well. The Mac and cheese is baked macaroni and cheese island version. They have lots of options, fresh food, order from the buffet style set up. They also have many of Jamaican favorite snacks and bread. Many of the Jamaican places in town are a bit divey, but not Negril. It's a neat counter service place in Ocoee. We tried the curry chicken and the jerk chicken. Both were very good. The curry sauce on the accompanying rice and beans was particularly good. The mac and cheese side wasn't very good, but the fried plantains were very nicely caramelized. Negril Jamaican Restaurant is in a Plaza across the street from the West Orange Five Theater. It's really small and seemed to have only a few dine in tables. Parking is limited. They have some designated spots labeled for their restaurant only but they fill up fast by the patrons of the boxing club next door. I guess that the tow warning signs are just for show because there seems to be no worries shown by those ignoring them and parking anyway. The menu is filled with all of the favorites. Mine being the jerk chicken , rice & peas and the spicy patties. These three items are done very well at this location. Their prices are fair and the food is made fresh. Over several visits I only interacted with one counter employee. This employee doesn't smile and barely speaks. At first I thought maybe she had a bad day but after a few trips I realized that she just isn't a great asset to a hospitality business. I ordered the Oxtail Dinner and Jerk Dinner. It comes with your choice of rice and a vegetable. I got rice and peas and cabbage and I like to add the spicy peppers and veggies on top of my Oxtails.
