Sometimes I wander out of my comfort zone for an experience that would shock my friends. Not because I care what they think but because I want to experience a different flavor profile. Singh's hits the spot for food and destination as a juxtaposition with say Chic-fil-A. I mean walk up service for curried goat or curried chicken, oxtails, or pork lo mien. Dine in on wood benches with a night time full bar and liquor store next store, fenced parking lot on old Winter Garden road. It's real a bit of a dive but I'd risk it again. The food was fresh, the place was busy, the locals know. I crowded the place with 6 adults and 10 grandchildren, probably not really kid friendly but they had decent mac&cheese too. An atypical place to explore cultural cuisine.

Had a craving for Currents Roll. Acted on it and I wish I hadn't This was by far the driest, tasteless and worst imitation of a currents roll I have ever experienced. It felt and tasted like it was made 6 years ago. Even the currents had no taste and felt fossilized.

I visited Orlando for a conference and was really craving some good Trini food. This spot was not too bad. Everyone was helpful with the menu. Nothing dance but very clean establishment.

We went with friends for lunch. The moment you enter the restaurant you can smell the delicious curry. There were a lot of people standing in line. The servers are friendly and they handle the food with gloves. There is a variety of dishes you can choose from. All of us wanted doubles. They were fresh, hot and delicious. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in the area.

Doubles - doesn't look like much but they are delicious

There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here. If dining in, you will need to get napkins and utensils from the staff when they make your food. We like to order a sack of doubles to eat fresh and have some for leftovers. There doubles are the best we've had in Central Florida. The dough is pillow, chewy without being tough and has a wonderful flavor. The chickpea curry is wonderfully hearty and filling. We always ask for them to include the hot sauce and tamarind sauce when they make the doubles. We have ordered their doubles multiple times and we always have a consistently wonderful experience with them. We usually take them home rather than dine in since sometimes the place is busy and the tables haven't been bussed. Today was the first time I have been where there wasn't a line to the door. All the tables were clean; perhaps because they weren't busy.

I've been here about three times before but I keep forgetting to do the review. Not necessarily my favorite restaurant, however, my partner enjoys it much. Usually for her I would get the roti, with all the other things she likes at the side. I got myself some rice and chicken and I can't lie. It was pretty good. I wish they would've just chopped up the chicken like most places but it's fine. They're very very good listeners and gave me exactly what I wanted how I wanted it done. I'll give them that, service is usually a Caribbean thing and it was done to perfection once again. I would be back again just like I was this time to get some food.

    Counter area

Staff very nice, food comes in containers for easy carry out, the food was very good. I had curry goat and stewed oxtails. The meat was very tender and seasoned extremely well.

I've celebrated my birthday here, have met up with friends here and more gone when they had a food collab. This place is awesome. They get very busy but the ambiance is fun. Last year, we got a group together to celebrate "The Eve Before the Eve" (12/23) and we had such a blast! Tasty cocktails, chill atmosphere. They do not serve food at this establishment but you can order food or bring food in. It kind of works out because there is so much delicious food on the strip! If you want a good craft cocktail, access to delicious eats nearby or a place to meet up with some friends for a birthday or just because, this is a good place to start! And please, for the love of god try the Tom Collins if that's your kind of drink...it's so good!

I sat at a table with one of my girl friends. we had to switch tables twice because they were so wobbly. The third one was still wobbly, but at least it had a dirty rag someone shoved under it. We went up to the bar to order real quick, and to ask the bar tender about the drinks on the happy hour menu. There weren't that many people at the bar and multiple bar tenders, but it took us so long to flag someone down. One guy at the end of the night even said someone would be with us, then he went and cleared our table even though we were going right back to it. The bar tender we ended up getting didn't speak a single word to us and he disappeared midway through our short stay. We ordered our drinks and after so long of not seeing them we decided to look for them. Turns out they were left with a group of guys at the bar. My friend was so uncomfortable because she's had bad experiences with her drinks being left unattended. We still ended up drinking them after the guys eventually left the bar. They were very bland, weak, and sweet. For $10 happy hour getting a sus drink that tasted like melted ice- big nope. I will never be going back.

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left.
