The best thing about eating out with friends is that you get to try a bunch of food. I came with a Trini and a Guyanese friend, and they ordered for us. We tried doubles, Aloo, Gobi, curry, dessert, dhal roti, bunch of stuff. I really enjoyed the food, especially the spicy stuff. One thing I noticed, is that they had a lot of Chinese stuff. This was my second time coming, the first time the food was a bit greasy, but this time I have to say the food was absolutely delicious. The doubles was not overly greasy. It was not overly spicy, and I was able to add my own spice level to it on the side. I got the cook up rice with chicken. It was not overly salty or heavily seasoned, which was nice because you got to enjoy the flavors of the coconut milk in the rice and all of the seasonings. It was not greasy as well. I enjoyed the meal. The ambience was very nice. They had music playing, felt like I was in New York and the workers were really nice. They greeted me and all the other customers and made sure we got what we needed. The line does get a little backed up so if you're in a rush maybe come back when you have a little bit more time. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back here again. everything was fresh. It was super clean and definitely a place to bring your family and friends for good food. Whenever I come to Orlando I make it my business to stop at Singh's for some doubles! I've been able to try their other dishes as well, and they are all delicious, but if you're ever confused about what to get, you can never go wrong with the doubles! Before going, I would personally suggest reviewing the menu to get an idea of what you may want. It's pretty busy most of the time and staff can come off a bit pushy if you are holding up the line trying to decide what you want. There is more than enough space to seat a large party if you have one, but most people usually just take their meals to go. Sometimes I wander out of my comfort zone for an experience that would shock my friends. Not because I care what they think but because I want to experience a different flavor profile. Singh's hits the spot for food and destination as a juxtaposition with say Chic-fil-A. I mean walk up service for curried goat or curried chicken, oxtails, or pork lo mien. Dine in on wood benches with a night time full bar and liquor store next store, fenced parking lot on old Winter Garden road. It's real a bit of a dive but I'd risk it again. The food is good but I should feel valued as a customer. Being greeted is the least they can do when the customer is spending money and keeping them in business. I frequent Singh's for their doubles and the customer service has always been "meh". Today I went to try something else but the Customer service was terrible. I left before ordering. Went today and stood in the front for over 5 minutes with no one asking if I needed help. There were 7 people behind the counter and one person was helping the other customers at the register. They have a help wanted sign at the register and it's obvious they need active workers who are experienced in delivering quality customer service. The method to ordering can be a little confusing as well. You walk into a galley looking at the register, but you order at the end of the hot stand. If there were signs or even workers who assisted in navigating customers, they would have a better chance at keeping returning customers. Not very happy with Singh's today. read more

I went to Singh's Roti Shop today and ordered a beef roti plus other items. I was not given my bill in hand and when I asked, I was told that it is in the bag. When I got to vehicle, I checked, but there was no bill. I returned to the store and the young man seemed unable to find it. A few minutes later, he located it in the stack. I noticed that there was an additional 'veggie" charge of $3.00. When I questioned it (because I did not buy any veggies) I was told that there was a $3.00 upcharge for beef. My questions are: Did Singh's post a notice in the store about the charge? Why didn't someone notify when I placed my order? This to me seems like gouging and is it legal? It is not a lot of money but I question, the right of Singh's without notify the customers beforehand. read more

The servers are friendly and they handle the food with gloves. There is a variety of dishes you can choose from. All of us wanted doubles. They were fresh, hot and delicious. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here. If dining in, you will need to get napkins and utensils from the staff when they make your food. We like to order a sack of doubles to eat fresh and have some for leftovers. There doubles are the best we've had in Central Florida. The dough is pillow, chewy without being tough and has a wonderful flavor. The chickpea curry is wonderfully hearty and filling. We always ask for them to include the hot sauce and tamarind sauce when they make the doubles. We have ordered their doubles multiple times and we always have a consistently wonderful experience with them. We usually take them home rather than dine in since sometimes the place is busy and the tables haven't been bussed. Today was the first time I have been where there wasn't a line to the door. The food is okay. This place is very UNORGANIZED. Unnecessary staffs traffics jam behind the food station. The dishes should be labeled. Garbage can should be empty as soon as is full.. used napkins are all over the floor around the garage can. ( don't know what health department is going to say?) I've been here about three times before but I keep forgetting to do the review. Not necessarily my favorite restaurant, however, my partner enjoys it much. Usually for her I would get the roti, with all the other things she likes at the side. I got myself some rice and chicken and I can't lie. It was pretty good. I wish they would've just chopped up the chicken like most places but it's fine. They're very very good listeners and gave me exactly what I wanted how I wanted it done. We ordered a few dishes separately to try with a single Roti to share amongst my wife and myself. Food ordered: Single Roti with smoked herring;Baigan choka; salt fish; pumpkin; stewed oxtail . Delicious and well tempered. The Baigan choka could have used a bit of garlic and a bit more pepper.. other than that we ate half of everything and finished the roti. The oxtail definitely was luxurious in tase with great depth of flavor. Smoked herring had a nice spicy kick. Pumpkin had a good sweet flavor and not watery. Salt fish dish was cooked with additional spinach which compliments the salt perfectly. Now this is not a Michelin rated restaurant but let's remember if your mother didn't teach you how to cook West Indian food then you should come here and enjoy the next best option in central Florida. I added pepper sauce and tamarind to mine. I also ordered one doubles w/tamarind & pepper sauce as well. I tried the doubles first and man it was delicious. As of late, I have been enjoying a lot more chickpea dishes. The roti itself was alright, but the curry chicken, potatoes and chickpeas were flavored well. There was a lot of food wrapped in the roti, and it most certainly could feed 3. I don't mind it wrapped inside the roti, but my sister and mother would have preferred to have the roti on the side. Unfortunately, every time I have gone to this Roti shop by myself or with friends and family there is always bickering going on between the employees and they do it in front of the customers in addition to that, the employees are sort of rude to their customers, and how they talk to them.
