Legit cooking here! Small inviting cafeteria style food options with about 7 tables inside and 2 tables outside. Greeted by the whole family/staff in English and they were genuinely pleased when we responded in Spanish. The lady working behind the Food station was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We started with 2 empanadas. The chicken empanada was full of chicken and flavor. The beef empanada was not to my liking at all. The meat was like a patty and tasted wrong. I definitely would get more of the chicken empanadas. Since it was lunch we decided to share a meal. We went with Masitas de puerco (fried pork chunks) with white rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. The masitas were marinated and fried. It was a generous portion, full of flavor and not greasy. Would have loved some garlic mojo onions to elevate but honestly they were good. The beans and rice were generous serving and delicious. There was plenty of food and we still brought some home with us. There was also available yellow rice, lechón, picadillo, and roasted chicken as well as sandwiches. In other words, if we come back here, we will definitely have other food options. Condiments, napkins, and plastic silverware are all self served as is the soda fountain station, Coke products. There is a standalone refrigerator that has tropical drinks available for purchase. Overall, this was a great find in Clermont.

Wow!!! What a super find in central Florida - The sign reads Troy's great Cuban food and this is the real deal. It is cafeteria style where they make daily dishes from scratch. Real authentic Cuban cuisine. Very laid back and casual atmosphere. The prices are great and xtremely reasonable. You pick your dish a la carte and basically select what you want to eat. Good Cuban comfort food made by a wonderful Cuban family. They also serve breakfast. If in the area this is a must go to place. Buen provecho!!

We ordered an Orlando Sandwich and a veggie. He said the Orlando was great. Mine on the other hand was not. It was just a ton of bread with a slice of cheese. Totally not worth $13 for the veggie.

Oh. My. Goodness. This food was amazing. By far the best Cuban food I have eaten outside of Miami and my Grandmother's house. Even my hubs, who doesn't normally like yucca thought this was the best yucca he'd ever eaten. And then proceeded to eat every bit of it. The picadillo, the lechon, las masitas de puerco We're all amazingly seasoned, the perfect consistency, the perfect flavor. The staff was wonderful, kind, helpful. The only tragic part about my experience is that we live an hour away... and we have no self control with Cuban food so we ordered way more than we could possibly eat for lunch - but hey! We have dinner now as well

Another hot spot for a good coffee! Cuban coffee is definitely a must try when traveling to Florida! Get the Cortadito-Mini Cafe con Leche! Service is very friendly and great! Very chill inside to sit and sip!

Amazing Cuban food and even better service. We were visiting from Maine and were frantically looking for an authentic spot for Cuban food and thankfully found Troy's Cuban Deli. It was as good as the Cuban food in Miami I grew up eating! It's a casual, cafe style type of place, but the food is delicious. For $10 we got a huge plate of yellow rice, fried plantains, masitas de puerco, and a chicken soup. Incredible! The empanadas were delicious and the pastelitos were good, although the cheese pastelito wasn't the best I've had. All in all, I'd come back in a heartbeat!

Mostly tasty Cuban sandwich with soft bread. The plantains were dry. Rice and beans and everything else tasted good.

The closest to a Cuban sandwich you'll get up here. I was happy to finally have a bite to a similar taste like the ones in Miami.

We mentioned we had a reservation but we were early and they were able to accommodate us. The indoor dining area is lovely with that old school Florida feel. Beautiful spanish and Cuban decor. There also an outdoor seating area which was empty on our visit due to the rain storm, humidity and heat. Our waiter was on top of everything, friendly and very knowledgeable. The food, I grew up on Cuban food and cant help but compare all Cuban food to my dad's cooking. I had the lechón platter and it was good. The lechón was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The yuca lacked flavor for me and was a bit bland as were the black beans. The rice was good. I was able to try a bite of picadillo and it was really good! I also had a bit of a Cuban sandwich which was a little different, but it was really really good! We brought family from out of town and they were all very pleased with their meals. I recently went to Orlando for a conference, and while we spent the majority of our time in a large…read moreresort and convention center, the leadership of the organization hosting the conference hosted a special dinner in one of the reservable ballrooms at the Cuba Libre Restaurant. I believe it may have been the Havana Ballroom. There was plenty of food, drinks, and mingling. The Cuba Libre Restaurant staff were great, and the venue was well laid out and worked for this event very well. When we arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday evening for our event, we first mingled around the tables and near the cash bar. There were a bunch of large tables that we began to fill out. As our program began and announces made and awards given out, appetizers were passed out. We were offered Guacamole Cubano, Mama Amelia's Empanadas, and Shrimp Cocktail which we passed around to the entire table. Personally, I skipped the guacamole and shrimp dishes but absolutely loved the empanadas. Yum! Then, an individual Cuban House Salad was passed out with red wine vinaigrette. This was also quite tasty. Next came the entrees including a choice of Salmon Paradiso, Ropa Vieja, Citrus Chicken, or Paella Vegetariana. I was trying to decide between the Ropa Vieja (beef brisket) and the Citrus Chicken. While the Citrus Chicken sounded perfect, I asked the serving staff their advice, and they recommended the Ropa Vieja for a true taste of Cuba. I was happy that I did even though it may have been more heavy and with a kick than I was expecting. I'm still glad I ordered it though. It was wonderfully prepared! And then, everyone received Cuban Flan for dessert. The Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar celebrates Cuban heritage and explores Cuban flavors, music, art, and traditions. The mission of the restaurant is to provide an "escape" to Havana through exciting food and beverages and entertainment experiences to celebrate the Cuban people and their culture. Orlando hosts one of several of this restaurant around the United States. This restaurant is in the midst of the Pointe Orlando. You can find details on their website: https://cubalibrerestaurant.com/en/orlando. You can find menus, entertainment, blogs, make reservations, specials, and more. The Cuba Libre Restaurant is open for brunch on weekends from 12 PM to 4 PM, for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 10 PM, Friday from 5 PM to 10:30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday from 4 PM to 10 PM. Happy Hour is at the bar and bar tables on weekdays from 5 PM to 6 PM and weekends from 4 PM to 6 PM. They have a special Chef's Tasting menu during dinner. They also host weekend nightlife and shows on Fridays with a live band from 7:30 PM to 12:15 AM and a DJ and dancing from 10 PM to 2 AM on both Fridays and Saturdays. It was certainly a great event and a fun place to be!

Welcoming. bright, clean (Ohmygosh, it's spotless in there), with so many nods to Cuba in the decor-and of course, the menu. I didn't study the options before dropping in on a whim, so I'm sure had a deer in the headlights look as I studied the large menu. The kind man at the counter told me the whole menu was available all day. That's excellent-but uh oh, more choices! After going round and round, I settled on a bacon, egg and cheese pressed sandwich -and got it on Cuban toast-which is always good, everywhere you go-but this was especially yum. (that crunch-the butttery ripples running through it. Ohhh my) I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed it there-the couches were so comfy! But I had to take it with me. No worries, tho'. This huge (and I mean HUGE) and perfectly wrapped sandwich stayed warm all the way home. The bacon and egg were both so well cooked-I'll get it without cheese next time. Those are words I've never typed before-but the bread, bacon and egg need all the spotlight. They're sublime. I thought this sandwich was a great value, considering the size and quality. I liked the cheerful interior. There's plenty of parking. And the location sits along Bruce B Downs in New Tampa-right at the foot of the on-ramps to I-75 north and south. It couldn't be any more convenient. They have a reward program and a coffee menu that so many with love. I'll spin back up there and dine in next time.
