Hey Long Island, meet Memphis and Texas!! Wow wow woohoo!! Had an incredible experience at Bobbique let me tell you! Listen, I love smokin BBQ and really enjoy putting in the time for those long cooks as a hobby. So heres my experience and how I came to love this place. Came in on a gorgeous day in May, the BBQ season knocking on the door. I BBQ year round but tis the season is what I'm getting at; and was just jiving for some good smoked BBQ. Thing is I didn't have the time to get a cook going since getting home from work late so we decided to give this well recommended spot a shot. Wow what a great choice and sooo happy we came here!! Some things were ordered were the St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, jumbo BBQ chicken wings...sides were collard greens, red potato salad and mac & cheese: and every single item was outstanding. All came with the staple corned bread. I wish could have ordered the whole menu, everything looked great but sort of "aimed in the middle" I suppose. The ribs were tender, with a perfect bite pull. Great smoke flavor..just was a real nice rib. The pulled pork was juicy, and the BBQ chicken and their jumbo wings were on point; crispy skin and juicy meat. The collard greens, potato salad and mac & cheese were great sides to complete but they have much more sides to choose from let me tell you. Had a really unique experience and one of my highlights of the visit was having the pleasure and opportunity to meet and take a quick tour with chef and owner Eric, who takes real pride in what he does. It's immediately clear the passion, dedication, and respect he has for the craft of true smoked BBQ. Whats important to understand is how difficult it is to master smoked BBQ. Authentic smoked BBQ is NOT fast food!! Brisket alone can take anywhere from 12-18 hours to cook properly, and unlike many other styles of cooking, mistakes cannot simply be fixed quickly. If pasta is overcooked, you make another batch. If a steak is undercooked, you throw it back on the grill. If a sauce is under seasoned you can adjust it..etc BBQ doesn't work like that! To use brisket again..If a brisket dries out after an hours long cook (mostly started overnight before the restaurant even opens) that entire piece of meat is basically gone. You cannot "undo" it. List goes on for everything else... Quality BBQ is hard to come by, especially outside places like Memphis and Texas. Real BBQ is one of the few forms of cooking where the chef is controlling a live fire, timing, airflow, smoke, temperature, and consistency all at the same time. You gotta appreciate this stuff! Ladies and gentlemen, Bobbique is one of those unique places that truly respects the craft. This place is firing on all cylinders! Smoked brisket is amazing! Baked beans are great . We like the collard greens too . Waitress warned us there a little different then some places because they are sweet. Everything was delicious and the service was great. I honestly don't understand why this place doesn't get a higher rating. My favorite BBQ place closed permanently, Smokey Bones, so I've been searching for a similar new restaurant and decided to give Bobbique a try. The night I went, last Thursday, my daughter and her fiancé came with me as they have been wanting to try Bobbique as well! Everything is prepared in a smoker which I thought would be interesting. This would be a first for me! The tray options on the menu were a little confusing but your order is actually served on a tray, another first for me! I must say that you should be coming to eat here extremely hungry because the portions are HUGE! I ordered the half slab of ribs and they covered my tray. So, serving your order on a tray vs a plate option is actually a necessity because of the humongous portions you receive! The ribs had so much meat on them and the flavor was delicious! They were cooked perfectly, juicy and the BBQ sauce that is used is not spicy, it was exactly the kind of BBQ sauce that I love! What I mentioned about coming here hungry....the ribs were so big, like double in size than Smokey Bones ribs were, I ate 3 and was already slowing down! The orders come with one side, cornbread and it's plenty! The baked beans I ordered were the perfect choice, they were also very flavorful and a good portion. The beans are served in a big paper cup which is a great idea if you are taking some to go! All you need is a cover and voila! I posted a pic of that too! My daughter ordered the chicken and her fiancé ordered the brisket. Both were very good but the ribs are what I highly recommend, especially if going here for the first time! Dessert...BANANA PUDDING!!! A MUST!!! Even if you are full, order it to go. It is literally out of this world delicious, on every level!! Real homemade whipped cream, little wafers on top, loaded with bananas, PERFECT consistency, just something you must try! I have to give a shout out to Chelsea who was our server. She was super nice and patient with our million and one questions! Bobbique is probably the most fun on Wednesdays and of course the weekends when there is jamming and live music on those nights! Our experience here was really enjoyable and we will definitely be back, very soon! I highly recommend this restaurant! There is not one negative I can say about Bobbique! My wife and I have been to Bobbique numerous times over the years and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for authentic barbecue, great rotating beer selection, great live music and a solid bourbon selection this place is for you. Bobique offers a phenomenal selection of smoked and barbecue meats. Of particular note is the Saint Louis ribs. Dry rub, not to dry, not to Smokey. The pulled pork, brisket and sausage are also fantastic. For a change to the usual buffalo bar wings check out the wings here. A delicious change of pace. I can't understand why anyone would criticize the ribs here? They are awesome. If anyone thinks they don't "fall of the bone" check out my attached photo. Oh, by the way .. best baked beans ever! Ribs were fantastic! Sweet potato fries and dipping sauce great! Peppers were clean and tasty . Leave the beans ( couldn't decide if they wanted to be sweet or savory and tasted just that way). The bf has been wanting to try this establishment and made 7:30pm reservations for Saturday October 5th 2024. The band 60's Invasion was scheduled to perform that night. We were seated at our table and soon the place was packed! Our server Courtney was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The drinks were strong and food delicious! I had the two meat combo, BBQ chicken and shrimp. He had the three meat..BBQ chicken, ribs and sausage. Each dish was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Collard greens, baked beans (my favorite) and cucumber salad were our sides. We shared a delicious slice of pecan pie for dessert. While we dined, the band sang groovy songs from the Swinging Sixties! The entire restaurant was in on the action. After watching the Mets win...on one of the seven big screen tv's, we all were ready to PARTY! I have to say....A TIME WAS HAD!! So we decided to go to Bobbique on Saturday night to listen to The 60's Invasion band. Firstly, it was pretty packed, pretty much every seat filled, while leaving a small space for dancing. There were 12 at my table. Our waitress worked like a demon, never slowing - sloughing drinks, taking food orders, & delivering food. Speaking of food was much better than we expected. My wife had spare ribs, son Bob-half chicken & grandson Chicken Strips. I had burnt ends..very tasty every dish. Sweet potato fries were spectacular. Back to the band..8 pcs - they played all 60's hits- they were super. This is a nice spot for a good BBQ meal. They have a bar and tons of TVs playing the different sports games. We also saw that they do bring in live music, so that's always fun. Our wait time for ordering and being served was decent, not too long, so that was another plus! The server was really friendly and helpful. Prices are right on with what you expect for good BBQ, not too pricey...(psst...they have lunch specials mon thru Friday!) What we ordered: Smoked sausage tray with two sides(i picked collard greans and colesaw) and a cornbread. I came for dinner with my mother and we had Jenifer. She was super super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She checked up on us a perfect amount of times. I really enjoyed my visit. Here's The Good, The Bad and The Ugly for Bobbique. (Bonus points if you've seen the movie) The Good: it is barbecue! In a coastal town where there's so much seafood it's good to have a BBQ option. The pulled pork is GOOD. I would prefer a little more smokey bark. But sometimes you get what you get. I'll have to ask next time. The pulled pork is moist and you get a good mix of the different muscles. The ribs are GOOD. Nicely smoked to tenderness and then chared a bit before coming out nice and hot. There are not all sauced up. So if saucy ribs is your thing the sauce is on the table. The wings are GOOD. No actually they're the best thing I tried this visit. Smokey. Crispy. Tasty. Moist. Delicious. No hot sauce needed. And now for the bad. It pains me to say that rhe Burnt Ends were BAD. Well, one of the cubes was tender and delicious. But only one. The rest were tough. There was a good bark on each cube so I have high hopes for the sliced Brisket (that I did not try this trip). But it was clear that after the brisket was cubed it was NOT bathed in butter and bbq sauce and put back in the smoker for another hour or two to get them super soft and delicious. So I don't think of them as Burnt Ends, just ends. And The Ugly? Doesn't exist. The waitress was nice, friendly, and helpful. The staff is friendly, though the restaurant is often understaffed, which can lead to slower service and, every now and then, a noticeably frustrated waiter or waitress. Food The food used to be the highlight of this place, but in recent years, it has taken a noticeable dip. While still decent, it seems they've either started cutting corners on quality or simply aren't seasoning as well as they used to. The flavors that once made me excited to come here have dulled a bit, leaving the experience less satisfying than it once was. Price The price has always been on the higher side, which I didn't mind when the food was amazing. However, with the decline in quality, it's starting to feel like a waste of money. I'm not sure the cost is justified anymore given the current state of the food. If anything, I would go for the lunch special, which is a bit more reasonably priced for what you get. We went on a Saturday night and although very busy we were seated with just a quick wait. There was a band playing, an all girls band and they were alot of fun as they got the crowd involved. The young lady who took care of us was very nice and checked with us many times to see if we needed anything. The food was all top notch and the prices were reasonable. Fried pickles are the crunchy chip breadcrumb kind not the beer battered ones- I liked them, but a bit greasy. I haven't been to Bobbique in a while and want to write an updated review for 2022. Patchogue is going through a great revitalization, it seems like a new restaurant opens once a month. My wife and I wanted to try one of these new spots so we came into town. On a Friday. With no reservation. I thought if we arrived at 6pm, we could slide right in. Yeah right! There was a line outside and people were waiting in the rain. Mrs Bill S isn't having that after a long day. I said, let's go to Bobbique? We walked in with no reservation. Bobbique has over 20+ beers on tap, I placed an order for chicken wings and a pint. Look at my picture, those chicken wings are fire! If there is a Long Island chicken wing contest, Bobbique wins hands down. They aren't a sauced up sticky mess. These wings are smoked to perfection. Crispy skin with a great smoke taste. The same with the full rack of ribs. The ribs were juicy, has a nice caramelization and also had a great smoky flavor. So we didn't get to try the hottest restaurant on Main St. Bobbique is a great spot making some righteous BBQ along with multiple beer taps? It's no wonder they're been here for over a decade. We made it just in time to partake in Bobbique's lunch menu, so I opted to have the Ultimate Lunch Combo which features 3 St. Louis Ribs, 2 Jumbo Chicken Wings, 1 Pulled Pork Slider and 2 Sides, all for Just $16.95. While waiting for the meal to be prepared, which took a reasonable amount of time, I enjoyed a beer from Blue Point which I've deemed to be this summer's beach drink, and had a taste of a friend's pretzel. The pretzel itself was pretty good, though a bit doughy and not in a good way, and the dipping sauce had an odd taste and consistency. When my food arrived, it was extremely hot. Once cool, I tasted the sides first; mac and cheese and coleslaw. The coleslaw was very delicious, not overly dressed, and a nice portion. The mac and cheese wasn't up to par and had a similar flavor and consistency of the cheese sauce that went along with the pretzel that I wasn't a fan of. The pulled pork slider was calling me next and thank God I answered because THAT THANG WAS GOOD! I'd definitely order that again or in greater quantity because it was absolutely delicious. I was pretty full after that but decided to take a small bite of one of the ribs which led me to demolish the entre rib because the meat to sauce ratio was perfect and the flavor made my tastebuds quite happy. Our 1st time at Bobbique & definitely was not disappointing. It was absolutely delicious. We started of with a small Caesar Salad which was plentiful. Don't expect to stay clean for long. The ribs are amazing. The chicken wings are not frozen. .It's like chicken you would've BBQ at home. We paid extra for the white meat chicken breast & it was so well worth it. The Mac & Cheese was just ok,it needs to be sever hot & add salt. The corn bread is moist & so yummy. You have different menu options. We picked 5 meats & it comes with two sides for $34.99. Ordered bobbique for a late night dinner for a group of 4 and the food was amazing! Delivery was fast and efficient! Food came within 40 minutes and the food was hot and prepped great! I ordered a family meal that came with 5 proteins and 2 sides! I added additional sides for $1.50! The sides are very small and are just for 1 person! Can't complain though, what do you expect for a $1.50, but at the dame time great cause you can order a bunch of sides! I ordered double ribs, which were very good, pull pork which my gf brother loved, bbq skewer shrimp, which was amazing, and bbq chicken! Everything spot on and amazing! Cooked to perfection, seasoned right, and nice and warm! For the sides i got mac & cheese, which my gf brother gf loved, bbq baked beans that were decent, and some potato salad! I have been here many times over the years but this was my first visit post pandemic. Sadly, a lot has changed & Not for the better. It was not crowded (should have been a dead giveaway in hindsight) on a late Sunday afternoon. Firstly, the menus (Food & Beer) seems smaller? My wife ordered a salad that was ALL LETTUCE. Literally, a half head of lettuce. The cornbread was cold & greasy. Had two meats (bbq chicken & pulled pork). The chicken tasted like it was spending time under a heat lamp. Warm, not hot. Was juicy though and bbq sauce was ok. Pulled pork was also just warm and smothered in the same sauce. Too much sauce. On top of half of a martin's potato roll I think? Nothing special. I've actually had Jack Daniels store bought pulled pork on a potato roll @ home that was better. Service was ok. I don't think we'll be back though. It's a real shame. Used to be a great bbq joint. Wish Smok'n Als would come to Patchogue and shake bobbies q up. & btw, what's up with no Bluepoint beers? Holy fried chicken Batman! Came here with the lady a few weeks ago for Alive After Five. This was my first foray into Patchogue and I'm glad we got to check it out! We started with a fried chicken plate, quarter rack of ribs and some brisket. Sides included mac n chee and coleslaw. The fried chicken was INSANE! Instantly in my top 3 of all time. It's ultra crunchy, juicy perfection. I can't imagine coming here and not experiencing this fried chicken. The ribs were really tender and had a great flavor. On a cold Saturday my buddy and I decided to head over for some seriously good BBQ. We arrived slightly before the lunch crowd. The smell of the BBQing meats made me start to drool before I even sat down. After looking over the options we literally ordered all the stars on the expansive menu. Burnt ends amazing Brisket my personal favorite of the day Ribs just amazing Onion soup best I've ever had Corn bread amazing French fires amazing Onion rings amazing The house BBQ sauce was the perfect blend of smoke, sweet, spicy and tangy. Sounds silly after listing the above but the homemade coleslaw and pickled cucumbers were just incredible and pair well with the BBQ meats. By the time the food arrived the place was packed with people enjoying the games on the large number of TVs mounted on the s and above the bar. Food- got chili w/ a side of Mac n Chez, not good Chili must have been old, frozen in a warm crock But dint taste that great! Mac n Chez- not real creamy, chalky taste- maybe old too. Came here last night (Friday) with a total of 5 people because they all wanted BBQ. We were seated almost immediately and place was not packed at the time of arrival (around 6:30PM). However, by the time we left, it was packed. My husband ordered the tray of rack of ribs (might have been listed as "slab" on menu) with his choice of 2 sides (mac and cheese and fries) and I ordered the tray of skewered BBQ shrimp with my choice of 2 sides (collard greens and corn on the cob). The rack of ribs as per husband was delicious and also a HUGE portion. He really liked the mac and cheese and thought the fries were okay. He also really liked the cornbread which I personally thought was a little dry. The type of cornbread I like is Boston Market's :) I ate a bunch of his fries and thought they tasted good. Nothing special about them though but not stale. Some of them were a little soggy (which is exactly how I like my fries haha). My skewered BBQ shrimp were DELICIOUS (big, plump and juicy) but only came with 9 pieces. I did NOT like the collard greens; they were way too tangy (is that the right word?) for my taste and I had trouble trying to finish all of it as to not waste food. I'm also not that picky of an eater in general. The sides in general were also very small portions. The corn on the cob was delicious. There was also a guy playing live music when we were there (around 6:30PM) which was nice but also loud since we were seated right in front of him so couldn't hear each other talk. Staff was very nice, bathrooms located in the back and parking is paid street parking. One of our friends parked in a free parking lot in the area but I have no idea where it was exactly because it seemed like it was far away when we dropped him off at his car. read more

We came here for my birthday gathering at the spur of the moment. We checked out a few places before arriving here and we felt that the menu in this place were more fitting for us compare to other restaurants. We came from Duck Walk Winery and Pumpkin-town, we were buzzed and starving. The place was not busy, it was surprising quiet night and they have folk music playing. Just bunch of us having fun, chatting out loud with our laughter and our American Sign Language, hands flying everywhere. We had a box of cupcakes and we asked the waitress if it's okay to bring in and hold for later. The restaurant had no problem. Our waitress was friendly and attentive with our table. We ordered whatever we wanted and the food was good. No complaints. We were having a good time and didn't think about taking photos... we have a group photo but I won't share.
