They claimed I couldn't measure a rim with a tape measurer, despite me producing images of measurement between the original OEM rim and the one they sent. Started replying in all caps towards the end. I had to escalate to eBay in order to have the purchase refunded. The whole process took 3 weeks. Now I have a paperweight rim that I'm probably going to turn into a coffee table. I left a Google review and they responded with lies. Hopefully others will navigate here. See the attached pictures for the absolute disgrace this business is. The return slip (a single one) they took a photo of (not even a PDF) they sent was outside of eBay's return process so they wouldn't get flagged and could relist the rim to scam someone else. Without a doubt, they are who you should turn to when anything on our vehicles has a "boo-boo". They are the preeminent supplier of tires for fleets, tune-ups (for Newark & Dover Delaware & Salisbury Maryland), and any suspension issues like caster, camber, toe angles. They are experts in CV joints, axles, drive trains, wheel bearings, brakes, etc. For example: I needed a tire for my girl friend's GMC Envoy. They checked it and said the other side was pretty worn so I looked and agreed. They suggested putting the new tires on the rear (and patiently explained the science to do so). Looking at my rear tires, we discovered that they also were worn beyond all hope. I decided to get 4 new tires (at a price I anticipated for just 2). I left while they were in process and shortly got a call from Tom the Newark manager. He asked if I wanted to go through with the purchase given that there were so many issues needing attending to (there's integrity). The list included rear seal motor leakage, front seal leakage, front wheel differential leakage (in both the left side and the rear), driver side front tire CV joint boot ruptured and axel bearing shot, pitman arm and idler arm loose/worn Mounting Brackets, Bushings, Bolts and Nuts, Washers, and Spacers (for proper alignment gaps), and a host of other suspension issues. Immediately listed the issues and sold the vehicle. I am a super satisfied customer of many vehicles. Note: I live in a very hilly area in Landenberg and use 4-wheel in the winter. Never had an issue getting through for decades now with the incredible grip/wear tread of the many sets of tires for the many different vehicles I have owned (and my dear sweet wife when she was here on this planet). OUTSTANDING!!! I have a 2003 Jeep TJ with a 5-speed manual transmission. After hearing some…read morenoises, something broke and my drive train locked up. I figured I broke something in the transmission (judging from past experience with a different vehicle). Most transmission shops in the area refuse to touch a manual transmission. I went to see Mark at Cottman Transmission in New Castle. He showed no hesitation whatsoever. After we talked, he immediately dispatched a tow truck, at no charge, to pick up my vehicle (on a busy Friday) and had my Jeep in his shop within the hour. On Monday, he had determined that the problem was broken gears in the rear differential, and NOT in my transmission. This was good news! He gave me a very fair estimate, and I picked up my fully repaired Jeep on Wednesday after paying a few dollars UNDER the original estimate. In addition, he had checked out the rest of the drive train to ensure everything was in good shape. Overall, the service from Cottman Transmission in New Castle was excellent, and Mark was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and very responsive. Honest, reliable, and eager to serve a first time customer, I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and I highly recommend this shop. Lastly, I have a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 with a Chevy 350 in need of a new transmission, and I look forward to working with Mark to get it back on the road for the spring Jeep season!

They ultimately chose the wrong part for my vehicle, which resulted in me being charged even more for them to install another part. This additional part and the cost to install it were never discussed with me before they made the decision to proceed. Thankfully, they did not charge me more money for the part that they chose. I should have taken advice to take my car first to an auto parts stores like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, who will scan your "Check Engine" light for free and print out the diagnostic fault code (e.g., P0300). Bring that code to the dealership so you aren't paying $200 just for them to plug in an OBD-II scanner. For this reason, I will not bring my car back to the shop again.

I own a 2003 Dodge Dakota which was showing an intermittent airbag light coming on. I personally…read moreput in a large number of hours trying to fix the issue myself. I then took it to 3- services shops and none could fix the issue. I have been dealing w/ this problem for almost a year. When I took it to the different shops; one being a Chrysler/Dodge dealer, I was getting different stories as to what was wrong. The third service shop I took it to who could not fix or diagnose the issue, stated that I should try Jamie's Auto Repair-South. I met w/ Jamie and told him my problem and everything I have been through. He said I'll take a shot at the issue and let me know. His initial diagnosis was a bad clock spring which I already had replaced by the first service shop I went to. When Jamie tried a new clock spring from a Dodge Dealer it did not fix the problem. At this point he did not give up!! He continued on the hunt for the problem and finally determined the issue was w/ the Airbag Control Module(ACM). The module had a short inside and was the cause of the intermittent problem. Jamie then took it upon himself to find me a used ACM and installed it and the problem seems to have gone away. Now I get no error codes or Airbag light. Jamie is confident that the problem is solved and I am too. Time will tell the story. So what can I say? Well, I was close to getting rid of the truck b/c of this problem; but Jamie showed skill, tenacity, and true customer concern for my satisfaction. So the moral of the story is the other shops did not want to deal with my problem, but Jamie did and I truly appreciate his efforts. I highly recommend his shop for repairs especially tough head-scratchers which no one else can do or want to do!! Great job Jamie and your crew!!!

Dealer quoted OEM part at $860 and Shilling was $1580 for non OEM. When asked about the discrepancy, I got a "nothing we can do". Also was told that garage couldn't install a customer supplied part because they couldn't guarantee it...whatever that means. On bill I was charged $7 for "Hazardous Waste Disposal" even when there was no hazardous waste involved. When challenged on that, charge was removed. Everyone was polite and friendly but I just don't understand the insane markup on the price of the part. Took the car to the dealership bc estimate was $500 less!
