I've been trying different groomers to find the best one for my doodle. He has a curly/wavy coat that requires a lot of upkeep. I found Bobby & Paws on Yelp and decided to try this groomer after reading the reviews. Its been a week since my dog's grooming and I wanted to take the time to say that everyone was right and I'll definitely be returning in the future! My experience - the studio has a parking lot which was really convenient because street parking can be tough in this part of the area. The store is very cute and cozy, and they offer several other products inside for purchase. I couldn't see the back grooming area (there was a curtain that closed off the area but I'm assuming this was for COVID social distancing protocols. The staff was very nice- the groomer took her time to listen to the kind of cut I wanted for my dog and I think she did a great job of doing everything I asked! A bath, cut, and dental cleaning was about $85. He was finished in about 2.5 hours. When I picked him up, my dog was happy and so was I! He smelled and looked great after. The store is very cute. They sell cute pet toys and clothes next to double rows on crates and a lil swing chair- perfect for a photo shoot after an appt w Tiffany. Don't listen to any negative reviews. Tiffany is an awesome professional. My 74lb Golden Retriever recently turned one year old and it was time for a haircut. First of all, making the appointment over the phone was very easy and smooth, she will answer price questions and any other answer you need to know she will give it to you. I brought Lucky on a Saturday at 12PM after playing at the dog park and he was a little dirty and I asked for the whole grooming service (ears cleaning, nail trimming, brush teeth, bath /blowout and haircut) - for my dog I paid $105 which I thought was reasonable, and let me know- SHE DID AN AWESOME JOB. Dropped my dog off to get groomed and showed a picture of how I wanted him to look. The woman did not follow it at all. She decided to do her own style because she said I told her he was a poodle mix and poodles look a certain type of way. His haircut was so choppy it looked like a 5 year old did it. She did not cut his nails and did not clean his ears. She claimed he was difficult but in my opinion she does not know how to work with dogs. She still charged me the full amount even though she did less than half the work. I took him to another groomer the next day and they were able to do exactly what I asked for. The issue I find with this groomer is that she is not willing to take a little bit of time to listen to the customer's requests. She is usually in a rush and grabs your dog and runs to the back before you can actually tell her what kind of haircut you would like for your dog. I've tried on a couple of occasions already; I've shown pictures of the haircuts I wanted for my dog and explained to her what I didn't like from previous cuts. Every time I pick up my dog, she looks the same with the same exact haircut that the groomer chooses to give her. I don't like that she shaves down my dog's face and above her nose, yet she continues to do this.
