A lot of fun options, cute and cozy Japanese ambience, excellent prices, and fun drinks. We came here after a hike during their extended happy hour and partook in the $3 Korean corn dog and a make-your-own (alcoholic) drink for $5. I guess I should've known better, but the make your own drink was mediocre because the guava option was based off a not-so-yummy juice. So next I ordered a drink off their menu and it was just alright. Honestly, I'd just skip out on drinks next time, but it was New Year's Eve so.. I did try to ask our server for drink reccs but she was 20.. So, we really enjoyed our ramens. Even the veggie ramen that I ordered, with a clear broth, was quite tasty - I've had clear broth options that were less flavorful. We also ordered a few additional appetizers. We shared some bao buns which were excellent, my partner ordered some meat skewers and I ordered a salmon nori taco. All in all, a great little shop. We considered coming back later on our trip but decided to explore elsewhere.

So, after stopping at Vietopia for lunch, we needed some bubble tea. This was a lavender milk tea and it was so good! The lavender flavor was strong. The boba was fresh, soft, and perfect! They have a kiosk coming soon, but you just order this at the host stand. The host and barista were both sweet. The vibe is fun, chill, and a great place to get drinks and hangout! Definetly will be back again and 10/10 would recommend this place for bubble tea!

Went here for the first time with my girlfriend this evening. The atmosphere is nice with a cool Asian vibe. I ordered a beer and my girlfriend ordered a tea. Our food was delivered before the drinks. I had to ask about the drinks and was told they were "really backed up". The loud tea shaker machine was running non-stop so I guess they had a lot of take-out orders because the restaurant wasn't busy inside. I got the chicken curry ramen. It was missing the egg and the bamboo shoots were not good. Overall i felt the dish was lacking flavor. We also split a fried maki roll. My GF enjoyed that but it was too heavy on the sesame oil for me. She also enjoyed her pork bao sando. Staff was friendly but I asked for a fork for my ramen (im not good with chopsticks) but was never brought one and no one returned to the table until after we were finished so I struggled to eat. I'll probably return to try other dishes.

We stopped in Saturday night after having a TERRIBLE experience at Hanks Bar & Grill. And so very glad we did. Met with a smile and a welcome in. All the a servers were amazing gave us great suggestions for food. I always ask whenever we go someplace new. As servers know whats good and what sells. We enjoyed everything we ate. We can't wait to go back again. Here's my FB review... https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18N2uaaPee/

    Boba: stone bbq!
    Bella J.

Solid 3.5 stars place. 1. Reservation: not needed. You can find a seat. 2. Food: 3.5 stars. However, they do have something SUPER SPECIAL! Stone BBQ! One thing I hate about Korean bbq is the smell. how I have to go home and take a shower and wash everything, simply because I enjoyed some bbq? This STONE bbq solves all that. They should improve the experience by giving thawed meat but not frozen meat, improve their sauce and this could be the next cool experience spot! They did have to change the stone that is of 400F as it cools down, it cant cook the meat anymore. Ramen was okay. 3. Service: 3 stars The owners are truly nice and cool. The servers are weird. I would still highly recommend this place and try this new stone bbq idea!

I graduated from JMU five years ago and recently came back for a visit. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and had to check it out. Back in my JMU days, this location was a Tex mex restaurant I went to often. Walking in the new restaurant felt familiar and nostalgic, but it was intriguing to see how it's transformed into a Japanese inspired restaurant with its decor and menu options. Their menu had so many great things that it was hard to choose what to order because we wanted to try everything! We started with the crab nori taco. I love this unique concept and it tasted great! The spicy tonkotsu ramen was delicious as well and we paired it with Thai Milk Tea and Ube Milk Tea to balance out the spice. The Korean corn dog was pretty standard in my opinion. The pork belly was yummy and the bao was pillowy soft! Service was a little slow, but we came on a busy Saturday night. The servers were all very friendly. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town to try more stuff on their menu!

One year from the first time trying Bobo's we were back again and it did not disappoint. Ramen, gyoza, unagiri, lunch bowl special with marinated beef was all delicious. The servers were efficient and helpful. For lunchtime on a Friday it was quiet. We'll be back again. It was worth the wait for our annual vacation to come back here.

Incredible food at great prices. Their menu has a wide variety of authentic dishes that accommodate different dietary needs and preferences. Prompt and professional service. Highly recommend the ramen, and their boba is to die for!

Crab salad nori taco - so good!
    Jessica F.

The Nori taco I got was one of the best things I have ever eaten! (It was a crab salad taco, hold the onion and masago) Such a neat mash up between sushi and tacos. He loved his Tonkotsu ramen as well. Lots of food in there including many narutomaki. My bubble tea was perfect too - an earl grey rose milk tea. The restaurant was cozy and well decorated and our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Welp, be warned. They cut off all orders (even just a boba) at 9:40p -_- so if they close at 10p, get there EXTRA early

Unfortunately they've discontinued this practice, and their current all you can eat menu is far more limited. Still a mainstay of the valley, but it's a shame to see a pullback in value and breadth of offerings. The tables are often kind of sticky, but that's not necessarily a deal-breaker for me. This is now a just a serviceable experience. YMMV Edit: right at the end of my meal, multiple uncooked grains of rice damn near chipped my tooth. What are we doing here guys? I will not be returning.

Strict Time Limits: Upon serving us, they announced that all AYCE orders had to be placed by 8:45 PM. Refused Orders: To respect their timeline, three people in our party placed a second order at 8:35 PM. However, the front manager stepped in and blocked the waiter from submitting it. Her excuse was that the rest of our group had not finished their first plates yet. The worst part of the night was how the manager treated the minors in our group. She looked at two young girls and disrespectfully commented, "Two girls should not eat this much food, I am sure they can't finish their food."As a service provider, making unsolicited, judgmental comments about what minor girls are eating is completely unacceptable and crosses the line into harassment. If the kitchen was closing or they could no longer serve us due to the time, she should have said so professionally. We would have understood. Instead, she chose to be rude and condescending. We came to pay full price for a meal, not to beg for charity. We will not be returning to a place that treats paying customers--especially children--with such disrespect.

It is located in a strip mall with ample parking not far at all from the interstate. I was promptly seated by a nice older woman who communicated with me by pointing. Don't get me wrong. I liked that as it brought authenticity to the establisment and very much unlike the time i went into a Chinese restaurant and they were blaring Sinatra music! Within a minute an Asian woman presented me with a menu and shortly afterwards took my order. I chose a cup of wonton soup and green curry with tofu as I was in a vegetarian mood. The wonton was hot and delicious with ample chives. Next came my red curry with tofu and steamed white rice, medium spicy, which was delicious as well! ( At other Asian restaurants in the past, I've made the sad mistake of ordering the "you asked for it" hot, and after about few seconds, lost my capacity to taste!) Being in proximity to James Madison University, there was a tablefull of collegiate who departed upon my arrival. They have a full bar in which I did not partake. ( Did i mention that I arrived at about 4:15PM on a Saturday in early April?) There were two, clean (important to me!) unisex rest rooms. My total was $22 to which i added a 25% tip. In summary, 5 star in my book. If near Harrisonburg or on I-81, check it out!

We didn't have time for a sit-down meal so when we saw this store we pulled in for a quick bite. This is definitely a full service 7-Eleven offering a wide variety of products. This modern stand-alone building is clean and organized. The location features an Exxon fuel station with plenty of available pumps, fuel prices are competitive with other stations in the area. There is plenty of parking available in the private lot and it appeared clear of debris at the time of my visit. Ingress and egress are convenient and easy with two entry/exit points to both Virginia Avenue and Mt. Clinton Pike. Employees are friendly and helpful. They seem to enjoy their jobs and provide good customer service. The three of us grabbed a couple hotdogs, an Italian sausage, a couple taquitos, chips, hard-boiled eggs, bananas and bottled waters. Everything was fresh and tasty and we were soon on our way. Like most Americans, I've visited many 7-Eleven stores over the years and this one rates among the better locations.
