If you have never had a Korean Corn Dog (KCD), this is the place to change that. The last few years…read morehave seen an influx of food trucks doing Korean Friend Chicken. Few of those trucks do the dogs but at Clucking Dog you get the best of both these worlds. At first blush, the KCD is a corn dog who has been working out. Bigger than the traditional American State Fair fried food favorite, KCDs are distinct with the core potentially being cheese versus a beef dog. The differences do not stop there. Batters are commonly potato and, a first for me, Ramen!!!. Then there's the outside. My favorite is the brightly hued, orange dusted exterior, perfect for an Oregon State Beaver-lover to wave. This cheeto-dust helps add another snack favorite to the mix. We went with the all cheese, Ramen, and cheetos dusted treat. Our KCD was perfectly done. The crunch of the outside gives way to the warm ooze of the cheese. The temperature was just right allowing the elasticity of the cheese to stretch and give, expanding to a near two foot long tightrope from mouth to bitten dog. This was a tasty dog and was better than the KCDs I have had in Los Angeles. Do not forgot to add KFC to the mix. The chicken (I had the 5 piece) was a perfect balance to the dog. Once more, it was some of the best KFC I have eaten. Crunch or the outside, tender meat on the inside coming easily of the bone, the juices trapped in the crust waiting to be released on your bite. As a savory lover, the garlic breath was the right sauce, soy, sweet, garlic, brushed on to not drown but highlight the crunch and flavor of chicken.

Waited 45 min for our order and got a doughy corndog. One young kid was trying his best to do it…read moreall alone. Not fair to him. The fried chicken was good though.

I got a keto bowl that ended up being 3 meals and it was awesome! These keto tacos from their regular restaurant menu were amazing! I tried three different meats and didn't have a single complaint. I used the online ordering system for takeout and it was easy navigate. Food was being freshly made upon arrival.

I went looking for hot dogs and found an awesome little Mexican joint with the best sopes, period…read more Pros: The sopes. I don't know whether they consider their sopes a specialty of theirs, but I was impressed. I had pork and my wife had chicken. We both had black beans on our sopes - an excellent decision. The sopes came drizzled with an avocado salsa. I am not a fan of avocado, but I loved this salsa. 'Nuff said. They also offered tomatillo and peanut salsas. (Consider yourself warned if you have a serious peanut allergy.) I enjoyed both. The peanut salsa was thinner than most Thai peanut sauces and of course the flavor was Mexican, not Thai. My sope didn't need the peanut salsa, but you have to try it anyway. By the way, there are other items on the menu besides sopes. I had an asada taco heaped with meat. (Winner.) They also have their so-called "secret" menu on bright video screens and do burritos that can also be served as bowls. I saw chilaquiles on the menu board as well. In other words, it's not really about the sopes. But those were pretty dang good. Cons: The plastic cutlery. The forks were wimpy. That's it for the cons that I found. But it is a con when trying to eat a sope with a fork and knife. Trust me. Notes: By "joint", I mean a place where you order and pay at the counter and bus your own table. Don't expect fancy. Our food was not truly mild, but my wife (who sadly can't do the heat anymore) was able to tolerate the spice level. Recommendation: If you haven't figured out yet that you need to try this place (unless you have a hard-core peanut allergy, of course), there is no hope for you. Lol.

Beer clean glassware! Yes, that is my lead-in title because it's so crazy rare to get truly beer…read moreclean glassware that I talked about it to the couple beside me (Pete and Roxanne who I got to meet were awesome btw). It's less than 1% of the places I visit that are true beer clean glassware astute. There are many that do a good job, but when you see the lacing on glassware that I saw tonight, you know you're in rarified air. FOOD: ok I know most people don't need out over glassware the way I do so let's discuss the food - I went more unique with a lamb sausage and a boar sausage, plus my new friends next to me shared their fries. My opinion? Awesome. Well executed sausage, the fries were really good - crisp on the outside and still perfect potato texture inside while being hot with a fry sauce side that perfectly complemented Service was great, met regulars, had tasty food - but the whale in this adventure was the care for the glassware. This is special - the owner truly cares about your experience when they nail the small details a lot of folks miss. I didn't miss this detail because it's massive in the nuance on your beer but takes special care and pride to get right. Bangers takes pride in giving you a beer in a properly maintained glass, and that's uniquely special. Applause to Bangers for attention to detail!

The food was good, but the pricing felt a bit steep. $17 dollars for a basic Seattle dog and fries feel a little high for counter service. That said, the overall vibe makes up for it. The space is open and inviting, with a great beer selection and a relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere, which is a huge plus for us. Great place to grab a drink and hang out, just be prepared for slightly higher food prices.
