Within a minute, the diagnosis was made. We were told it would be $450, we would need to pay before the part was ordered and were told it would arrive the following week. We waited and waited and waited several weeks for the part to arrive. We contacted Mike and requested our money back, which he would not do. When the part finally came in, Mike came out but did not fix the problem. The quick diagnosis that he originally made was inaccurate. So, we waited again and requested a refund. That refund was denied. The second part arrived, and Mike installed it. The ice maker was functioning very slowly compared to baseline. Still under warranty, but they won't come and repair it. After many calls all we get is the run around. Our claim is " being reviewed" by the repair dept. Don't REVIEW IT- come and fix the damn machine. So while we wait and wait we have to pay to go to a laundry mat. So done with them and their terrible customer service. When you spend over a $1000 on a washer it should work more than 12 months, and if it breaks should be repaired quickly.

The installers arrived on time and were somehow able to install both washer and dryer into our tiny "closet" utility room, which previously had a stacker type of washer/dryer from 1985. We have had no trouble at all with either unit - both installed perfectly and running beautifully (every day since purchase!). The installers were professional and personable, and we could tell this work was something they had a lot of experience with. This past week we were helped on the showroom floor by Deb, who advised us on our options replacing our microwave, gave us the pluses and minuses of various models, and we picked the perfect one for us. Again, the installers (different pair of guys) were on time, professional, friendly, and only took a few minutes to install - amazing! Both pairs of installers called beforehand to give us the heads-up, which we really appreciate. We will return for a new fridge and range soon!

He began the repair of my (under warranty)…read moreWhirlpool fridge in August of '22... after two repair attempts he told me that he'd need to replace the whole compressor, and that he'd ordered one. In September, our Florida home was badly damaged by Ian, but I'd left the fridge accessable in our Minnesota home, and our roommate was there to take the call. But, Mr. Short, NEVER called, and wouldn't even return my calls(!). Upon our return from Florida in June, I tried again numerous times to contact Mr. Short - but he would NOT return my calls. In thinking back, this could be because he'd determined that my wife and I aren't Christians. In any case, he would not call me back. So I had to go back to Whirlpool, and beg them to reinstate my now expired warranty (which they did - good company). They again scheduled me with Short's Services, and guess what? He was a no-show. I'm now trying again (through Whirlpool) with another company. Bottom line ... Stay AWAY from Short's Service!

When I searched dryer duct cleaning, it turned up HVAC companies, and I wanted someone who specialized in dryers--Dryer Refresh does! La-lee was great! I got an appointment within a couple of days. He arrived on-time, was efficient and less expensive than HG quoted, showed me the main problem (the screen on the vent outlet had 3/4" dense lint), but cleaned the rest of the duct as well.
