my lyft driver has recommended a few restaurant near my hotel and this was one them, so my group and i came here for brunch. my friend and i each ordered the stuffed hash browns & 3 slices of french toast. my boyfriend ordered a side of hashbrowns, side of bacon, and 2 slices of french toast. my other friend had ordered a full stack of blueberry pancakes. when the waitress and brought out our orders, we were shocked to see how large the portion sizes were for its cheap prices! no one was able to finish their entire meal haha. their stuffed hash browns were so delicious but pretty greasy. i'm going to try to make stuffed hash browns myself. the french toast was really good too. we were all really content with the taste of the food for the prices that we paid. we weren't used to paying for cheap brunch food since we're used to paying for at least $15/meal in California lol. notes: seems to be pretty busy in the morning on weekends. it's pretty loud inside since it's a sports bar. get ready for the large portion sizes & go to the restaurant on an empty stomach! read more

This was our second time eating at Bob's, the first time was at lunchtime and this evening we went in for dinner. I was hoping our experience at lunch time was a fluke and dinner would be great. But, alas, it was more of the same. Started off with trying to find a parking place. There are only about ten spaces around the building so the parking lot fills up long before the restaurant. Entering, we seated ourselves and waited for the server. There were plenty of servers but they were mostly chatting among themselves or with an off duty male employee that came in wearing a tank top and wandered all around the place, including the kitchen area. Very, very unprofessional. A server finally noticed us and asked if we had been served yet. Ordered drinks and then another server took our food order. I ordered a burger dip with BBQ sauce and a house salad. My wife ordered a wild raspberry salad with fresh grilled chicken. While waiting for food I asked for a refill on my soda. The server took the glass away and didn't bring it back! Next time she came by I asked if she forgot about my drink. She had taken the glass in the back, emptied it, and put it in the dirty dishes area! She promptly got me another soda. My house salad was all iceberg lettuce, some tomatoes and cucumbers plus a few croutons. Not a five dollar salad by a long shot. My burger dip was okay, the meat had been fried frozen and so even though the burger was cooked properly it had a mushy consistently. The meat was as soft as the bun and the overall effect was like eating a BBQ flavored marshmallow. My wife's "wild raspberry salad with fresh grilled chicken" had all the right ingredients but in the wrong amounts. Plenty of romaine lettuce but very little chicken. Copious amounts of cranberries overwhelmed the salad and with very little meat to offset it the flavor was overwhelming. Poorly executed and not worth the eleven bucks they charged for it. The chicken was clearly not grilled, perhaps fried from frozen, instead, and definitely not fresh! It was so dry it broke apart when she stuck her fork in it. Lastly, it seemed like an off Broadway review of Hair in the restaurant. Several of the female servers had long hair, worn loose, and I watched them play and fluff their hair in the kitchen and dining area. When handling food and working around food preparation areas hair should be pulled back and secured. In conclusion, it seemed as if there was no manager present to supervise and everybody was kind of doing there own thing. It appeared very haphazard, extremely unprofessional, and the end result was a meal that was mediocre at best, and service that would rate very poor. read more

I've been here twice, and still not sure what the fuss is about. I've been here on both occasions during dinner time. The first time I had an alfredo pasta dish, which was terrible. . the second time was fish and chips which was OK and much better than the pasta dish. Maybe I'm just not ordering the right thing??? Also be careful of all the sides you order, example... ranch dressing, sour cream, tarter sauce, baked potato toppings... you will be charged extra for each item! They do have good fried dill pickles served with ranch dressing & Happy Hour which makes appetizers half off. I've been told they have good burgers, breakfast, and prime rib... maybe my 3rd time will be a charm? This is for the Wenatchee Bob's. I went there with my wife on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and they were not very busy. It started out fine. We placed our orders and while we waited our soft drinks were kept full So you have to ask yourself if you like little things with your meal like say the food being hot? Because if you do this may not be the place for you. I had the Viking Burger and if it had been well executed it would have been good. This was not the case. It started out with the room temp Onion Ring garnish. Since this is the first thing you are going to eat on this burger, perhaps it should not be tepid. Ok next was the pretzel bun that was cold, not room temp not lukewarm but cold to the touch. So if this is your thing you will love it here. Oh on the inside were some onion strings that tasted like they were prepped at opening and sitting in the bowl till served to me. The fries were also just room warm, this was also the case with my wife's fries however her fish was hot. So I rarely send food back but this time I could not deal with it. So this time I did asking that it be remade. It was back on the table in less then 2 mins with the bun slightly warmer. At this point, it was clear that they just did not care and I gave up. I avoided this joint for three years because of the car on the roof. I thought it was a 50's place and since I had my fill working in one of those places for two years I had no desire to go in. But Wenatchee doesn't have a lot of cool eating places. Sorry. So, we had some time to kill and it was 3:30- a weird time to eat/drink so I said to The Husband, "Let's give it a go." YAY! It's a great place. A cool sports bar..that has photos of Marilyn Monroe on the walls. (A little confusing, but there's no 50's music so I am happy.) It used to be 50's because you know, it's been around since the 50's. We sat at the bar and enjoyed ourselves and then decided to to have the ribs to go...we live an hour away. So we drank our 2.95 Long Island Ice Tea's..and I mean LONG. I couldn't drink it all and honey, I can drink! So we took the ribs home- one order and shared them. Pretty good for traveling up the Columbia and over the river and through the woods to Chelan. We shared the ribs, cornbread and I ordered a salad. It was plenty good! We will be back! read more

This place was just 'ok'. If you appreciate old cars and rock and roll, you will love the decor in this place. The food, however, leaves something to be desired. For a restaurant that advertises itself as a great burger joint, their burgers are pretty basic, uninspired and pricey. While the burgers are large, they are mostly tasteless and consist of pre-packaged, frozen ingredients. Pre-shredded cheese, pre-shredded lettuce, frozen Ore-Ida style fries, stale burger buns... you could probably run this place without even having an actual cook on staff! About the only variety between the burgers was the type of meat used and whether or not you wanted bacon added. This place doesn't even have milkshakes, which I always thought was a conventional staple on burger joint menus. To top it off, service was slow and the bathrooms were run-down and poorly designed. I ate breakfast here once per week this summer. Love the decor - you can't beat a comfy booth first thing in the morning - and we always found it very clean. Service was professional and fast - maybe not overly warm or chatty, but who needs that at 8 in the morning anyway? Loved the hashbrowns especially, and the eggs Benedict are great. Went to dinner with my family on Sunday. They advertised a slow cooked prime rib special, 3 of our party of 4 ordered it. It was the toughest prime rib I've ever had! I didn't say anything because my in-laws were paying, come to find out my wife and father in law thought the same thing. I requested an egg white omelette and got what was clearly a regular egg omelette. The waitress seemed confused when I requested gluten free. Later when I asked if they in fact had egg whites the waitress seemed to take it personal saying she had made my eggs herself from egg beaters. The eggs were also thick with cheese. I have been to Bob's Classic a dozen times or so over the past 3 years. I have tried several different dishes (burgers, sandwiches, ribs, chicken). I go in mainly during football season because I don't have cable. CON's: The food is poor quality, poorly prepared and over priced. I once got a plate of ribs that tasted like boiled hot dogs - GROSS!! The beers are served in a glass that LOOKS like a 16 oz pint glass but really is 12-14 oz. And even with that there is usually 2 inches of head on the beer and they don't fill the glass to the rim like a proper draft beer should be. PRO's: The service is generally friendly. I had a bloody Mary once, and it was decent. They have tons of TV's and they are always willing to change it to what ever game you want to see. The interior decor is cool. The bar stools are comfortable. Overall, there are MANY other better places in Wenatchee. I should just get cable. read more

We were there on a Saturday night so there were NO food or drink specials, which was a total bummer because I always go for the deals! On the plus side, they let me order a beer...and a kid's meal. My boyfriend got the 1 pound special burger and he said it was amazing. It also came with french fries. I got the kids chicken tenders with fries. The chicken was really salty (which I don't like) and the fries were not good (as I am a french fry connoisseur). I had a Dr. appt. in Wenatchee & had always wanted to check this place out. When we first arrived we were greeted by a cute, petite blond with shoulder length hair. She got our drinks, chatted about the menu & was very pleasant. When she brought our appetizer she let us know it was shift change & a young blond server with long blond hair was her replacement. That's when it went downhill. We asked for tea refills & she never brought it. Then we had to ask her to please take our order as we were on a schedule. Once she brought our food, she disappeared & we found ourselves some silverware & napkins. The food was very bland.(Mango Fish Tacos) & we looked for help to get some hot sauce or something & was ignored by the bartender when he walked by. From the look of the patrons with food on their plates, taco night is very popular as ¾ of the people were having the tacos. Sat down and service was quick. Our waitress was cheerful and recommened some local craft beers as well as the happy hour drinks. I wasn't in the mood for tacos, but decided to order them anyway. And an order of jalapeno poppers. Both items were on the happy hour menu which ends at 630pm. Our tables food arrives and the guy who ordered the teriyaki steak skewers got the winning dish of the night. Steak was tender and had excellent flavor. The teriyaki sauce was just right. My four tacos filled the plate. These were not street taco size. The ground beef had decent flavor, but it was loaded with fresh chopped lettuce and fresh tomato and cheese. The taco sauce was not good though. I couldn't stomach it. Just not good flavor. The jalapeno poppers were simply prepackages frozen poppers that are heated up. I wasn't expecting much, and that's what I got. Bob's Classic get a good review because of the atmosphere, staff and steak skewers. The overall experience was crap, our server.... was flat out rude, disrespectful, and was more concerned about her regulars who were coming in the door. Not only did we wait over a solid 10 minutes to get forks but no water, not once were we asked how our food was, and out of the mouth of our server was " you are freaking me out, with the look of disgust. Bob's is pretty good. The food here is tasty, but I don't think it takes any names. Overall, the service is pretty friendly, but it can also be slow, especially on those very busy evenings when the crowds are pouring in for sports games on the many big-screen TVs, or for Ladies' Night when women can order drinks for $2. Love this place good food and great atmosphere. We had my picky little brother in town with who is 10 and would have been happy eating chicken nuggets and French fries from McDonalds (Yuck!) Luckily we they had something that he found appatizing. Unfortunately I can't remember what as this was over a year and a half ago. But all the adults rejoiced in the fact that we could actually have a real meal. I had the French dip and fries which was delicious and satisfying. All the adults and the picky eating child were very happy and we returned many times. This place was the closest to our hotel so we gave it a try. Seat yourself and quick acknowledgment was nice. Semi-busy Thursday night at 5pm. I asked if the fish and chips were good and should have known when her response was "It's cod". ?? I got thru 1 & 1/2 pieces and realized I had more greasy breading on the plate than fish left. Bad sign. The fries were pale and limp :( My hubby had the mushroom burger and it was delicious. Lots of mushrooms and Cheezy. He graciously split it with me and the waitress credited our bill for the inedible fish. Some people might like the beer batter greasy fish but I looooove fish. Not greasy bread and fish. The beer and cocktail were great. Had 1 check- in from the waitress and had to pay the bill with another waiter so all in all, 2-3 stars. The twisted chicken is good. They offer some non traditional, unique dishes for being "American" eatery which I enjoyed. They were pretty busy but appeared to be pretty attentive for the most part. So here's where I give just three stars, be aware if you ask for ranch, you'll be charged without letting you know. I'm an out-of-towner so maybe that's common in that area, who knows. but as good costumer service, let people know so I can bring my own dang bottle (joking). read more
