The service is great! Their prices are reasonable. I was impressed by the size of serving I got for the turkey dinner. It was literally enough for two people to split. The mashed potatoes were homemade and delicious. I got a lot of extra cranberry sauce because I love it. Everything was great! It's a place for a good old fashion American meal. read more

My last time here at the Country Inn was 16 years ago, with Ron Tipler. Only the people have changed. Everything else is just as it was, maybe another 16 years previous. Even the historic photo on the wall, of "the valley" from 1904 by Professor Edward Langley, still sits above the booth on the west wall. I ordered bacon, eggs, and country potatoes with coffee. The meal was inexpensive--the coffee would be too expensive except the waitress and greeter traded off filling my cup about 5 times.... So on balance, the prices are quite favorable. But the nostalgia is free--a cupid doll machine in the lobby, a full standing chilled pie cabinet by the bar-stool area, a swinging door to the kitchen, and bench seats with worn-out springs (but newly reupholstered). I fell so far into the seat cushions I could hardly see over the table-top . But hey! I'm not complaining. I love this place! If you're an Americana history buff, you will too! It's good to be back--this is my kinda place, and these are my kinda people. The whole breakfast and "show" only came to $16.81. What a bargain! (See the pics!) The food left something to be desired but it's somewhat expected lower quality food. Huge menu with plenty of breakfast and lunch options. Family friendly and wait time isn't too bad. Let me start out by saying my husband and I have been coming here for years to this restaurant but yesterday was horrible .Waitress came and took are order we both ordered off the senior menu the same thing we got are ticket she charged us for one senior and the other one full price we didn't notice the plates were different in size or food portions were much bigger until almost done I brought it to her attention she said I didn't know when she did know he was on the back of the menu where I was looking so she gives as a attitude goes to the kitchen and takes the receipt to the cook who then comes to are table with absolutely no customer service stands in front with are receipt in his hand for a few mins then starts talking about are bill he blamed us for the mistake and wasn't going to do nothing about it at first but then got cheap on us and frugal and he offered a fifty cent discount on are bill which I figured this out there in my head and told him no then started talking about the plate size and that we should of noticed and said the name of the burger that was on the senior menu what ever are waitress told him she didn't want to admit she made a mistake she turned this into a night mare this was are date night bummer I then asked him what the big deal is he said we can take it off after all it was five dollars he took it off the waitress comes back with it off in turn are waitress goes to the other waitress and starts telling her what happened the other one ask us how was every thing I told her we had some issues but it was tooken care of then tells us she didn't know what happened when she did .If this place is that cheap in fixing there mistakes and is wiling to lose customers over 5.00 dollars then have at it and I don't know how many you will lose after they read this review I have never been treated like this in all my years treat your customers with respect and learn some customer service this will go far in the long run and it doesn't take 30 mins to make burgers and fries with two cooks give me a break and you were not that busy that's how long we waited I've been a cook for years and I still I'm. Our visit to country Inn was pretty good for a Saturday am. It was after their breakfast rush, but the place was cleaned and open tables ready for patrons. They had decent breakfast and kudos for mimosas! It was super cute inside decorated for Christmas. The place was steady on a late morning; service was friendly, quick and prompt. Food was good. Decided to have breakfast for lunch today and this place didn't let me down. I ordered the meat lovers omelet and hashbrowns. This is probably the most meat I've ever gotten in an omelet, honestly a tad too much, It was however very good. I added cheese and ham to the hashbrowns which by themselves could have been a meal. They had heaping portions on small plates and always made sure to refill our drinks. Service was prompt, waitress was friendly, and food was delicious and correct. I couldn't have had a better experience. They do have vegetarian options at breakfast, you just have to ask. They are occupied by many Wenatchee locals, and it's one of the better restaurants near the Cedars Inn hotel. read more

This place was absolutely horrible. My husband and I went to have lunch here and they were extremely rude. They didn't want to seat us, when they finally did, they did not say a word to us. We sat there there for 20 minutes without service. Not a hello, nothing. My husband is Native American, so yes, he's a big brown man and I'm a white woman. Every person in there stared at us. No service. Completely uncomfortable. This place is clearly racist and horrible. If you are a person of color do not go there. Eggs were greasy, sausage was dry and tasted freezer burnt. The cinnamon roll French toast was nothing more than some bread you can buy at Walmart dipped in egg and was completely flavorless. My boyfriends potatoes were cut up in all shapes and sizes, greasy, and looked like they were cooked in the microwave. Will not be going back again. At least the waitress was pleasant. That's the only reason we left a tip. Also, I understand COVID-19 precautions but the plastic shower curtains everywhere is absolutely tacky and no where else is doing this so what is the point? read more

Food was fantastic as usual. Service from Tayler was top notch. She was the only one on at the time and was busy. Very attentive, refilled my coffee, which was good also good. The ambiance was relaxing. Tayler didn't seem rushed but calm and steady. I had Steak and Eggs. Small steak but for the price it was perfect. My friend had the British burger, she said it was on the dry side. Easily fixed. I've been coming here for years and plan on continuing my patronage. My friends all seem to love the laid back feel. Great breakfast spot, with comfortable booths. They decorate the place based on seasonal festivities, and when we went the theme was Mardi Gras. They also have specials that are in theme, and I ordered their Mardi Gras Scramble, with andouille sausage/sweet potato tots/onion/pepp/etc. It was nice and cheesy, and delicious to boot. Heck for $7.99, sign me up. The ladies all had traditional fare, and all plates were cleaned. Wifey got the One Egg Breakfast, and you can see by my photo it was a pretty darned big egg. And when you order bacon--you get BACON! No skimpy portions, here. Our server was a sweety, and coffee cups were never empty. Ordered food to go and it wasn't my favorite. I had the crispy chicken salad and it came with a soggy piece of watermelon on top that I didn't dare eat. It was floppy and very unappetizing. The salad itself was ok, nothing I would go out of my way for. There was also no fork in the bag but luckily I noticed and went back inside for one. Got country fried steak and eggs. Service was on point, but the food was pretty bad. I have ordered many country fried steaks in my day, but this was the first time I have ever had to use the steak knife they give you to cut into it. The steak was fried a little too long, oozing grease and was tough as shoe leather. Gravy was lacking any real flavor. Eggs over medium were cooked right, but each egg had two yolks?! I have had a few in my life with two yolks, what are the chances of two in a row I can't say that was any of their doing so won't hold it against them. Hashbrowns were the dehydrated type and were dry and tasteless. Ambiance was classic diner atmosphere. My spoon was not very clean, had some kind of film on it and food particles. As I have observed, I am having the tendency to rate a smidgeon high. My primary focus is service, homey-ness, and personal comfort. My secondary focus is the quality of the food. The Country Inn is a local's locale. We take comfort here, and enjoy the wait staff, coffee, and focused service. This place is HORRIBLE!!!! Their customer service is absolute trash. We walked in with a latte in our hands. They turned us away saying we can't have outside drinks. You just turned away a big sale and potential repeat customers...seriously?! When you're prepared to serve a decaf latte with oatmilk and honey, I won't need to bring an outside drink. But since you serve swill for coffee, I have no other choice. It doesn't cut into your revenue for me to bring outside drinks. I wouldn't have even bought a drink there with my breakfast. So you actually did lose revenue by turning away the six of us for breakfast. And because of your terrible service, you can be assured I will NEVER try to come here again. Oh and FYI, we went to a much nicer breakfast place instead after leaving here and the nicer place did not turn us away for having outside drinks. So we got better food and better service when we left this place. I'm sure other customers will find the same...better food and better service just about anywhere else. read more

The mask mandate has been lifted, but I guess I was expecting the staff to be self-protecting. Not here. We rarely go out to eat, and I spent the night before looking at the online menu to get familiar. My husband was very happy with his bacon and eggs, hash browns and toast. I had taters and gravy, but the sausage gravy I had been dreaming about was not what I got. No sausage made it to my biscuit. It was all right, but not great. The spinach omelette on the Senior Menu is delicious. Pay for extra spinach to have just the right amount. Coffee is included on that order and I had the fruit instead of hash browns. Restaurant is clean, the wait staff friendly and efficient. Restaurant likes to decorate for every holiday. We visit this establishment when we do our trips to Leavenworth. Over the years the coffee has gotten better the food is hearty, decently sized & priced. But during this trip we over heard the manager Diana? referencing to some regulars that walked in stating "oh the losers are here". It was very disheartening! The other staff memebers we encountered were super sweet. But this manager gal if this is what she thinks of her customers, neighbors & community she is NOT fit for this hometown establishment. I am not giving this a 1 star based on their food or service. the food is wonderful. the waitresses are fabulous (MOST of them anyway). I am giving this a 1 star due to an experience I recently encountered at Country Inn. a few nights ago i ordered a to go order. I went to pick it up and jeff (the owner) was belittling and yelling at one of the waitresses (so loud that customers could hear). he said she was doing too much (the other waitresses were standing around doing nothing!) Shouldnt he be telling the others to do their work?! I couldn't believe what I had just heard. The waitress looked so sad, I asked to give her a hug. She didn't deserve that. no one does-but she works her butt off every time I come in. I had a great customer service experience. I was home sick and I called for a pick up because I was being a baby and wanted pancakes. I explained this to the woman that answered the phone and I told her I would definitely wear a mask because even though it wasn't Covid I didn't want to give anyone my cold but she insisted on running the food out to my car anyway because she felt bad that I was feeling so crappy. Decided we would try a new place for dinner tonight and stopped in to The Country Inn. First thing that hits you is the smell. It reminds me of an old persons home, mildewy, damp, cave like smell. That aside, we were seated quickly and water was served, then soft drinks. For dinner, I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the nachos supreme. The server was on the ball and quickly brought me a wimpy little salad, iceberg lettuce with a couple of cucumbers and some croutons. The Bleu cheese dressing was thin and of poor quality. Our dinners were served promptly. My meatloaf had little flavor, lacked a pleasant texture, and was covered with brown gravy. The potatoes were okay. My wife's nachos looked good but was a little greasy. Flavor was adequate. Nothing to get excited about. The bright spot of the evening was our server, Chanel. Friendly, professional, prompt, always kept our drinks full, but never obtrusive. The Country Inn has a loyal following for several reasons... Comfort food at a reasonable price although I wasn't impressed with the quality. It also has a popular meeting room which apparently gets used a lot by local groups. I suspect that has a lot to do with why it has been around so long. Be sure and read the other reviews, they deal less with food and more with other things that the Country Inn offers. Like most of the restaurants here, I will give this one another try. But, this was my first experience here. I ordered the pancake breakfast and a hot chocolate. Like every other restaurant I've been too here, the hot chocolate is 4oz of water and a hot chocolate packet. I sent it back because it tastes like water. If your going to charge $2.49 for a hot chocolate it should, at least, taste like hot chocolate. Maybe they should try using milk instead of water. I asked for a substitution for the eggs in the meal, most places will offer fruit or hashed browns. They will only substitute another meat. Since there was already two meats with the meal it was an unreasonable substitute. My dining partner offered to take the eggs and I asked that they be made scrambled, almost to the point of burning them. They were served scrambled and runny. The pancakes were to thick to be anything but chewy and they weren't even golden brown, had to ask for more syrup to choke what I ate of them down. The two strips of bacon were fine, but the sausage was under cooked and served cold. My partner had the egg tacos, which seemed to be fine until they started picking under done eggs out of them. They also seemed to be short handed as our waitress was also busing tables. She even forgot to bring our drinks to the table. Maybe lunch will be better. read more

How does this place have the stars it does???? Terrible bland food. The biscuits and gravy yuck I took one bite and couldn't eat another. The ice tea was terrible. It had this weird sour taste.
