I'm in Wenatchee for a convention and stopped in to Bob's Classic for dinner. I selected the 10 oz center cut rib eye grilled medium-rare with tossed salad and Italian dressing. The rib eye I got was medium and the salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce and a ton of croutons, dressed with Italian dressing. I did enjoy the baked potato! It was a large size and cooked perfectly. It was served with a mound of melted butter in the center of the potato and had little serving cups of sour cream, bacon bits (real), and shredded cheese. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed with the amount of diners, but still performed their job with excellence. I enjoyed the eclectic decor. There was the front end of a car, an old (1950s era) gas pump, and a pictures of famous historic figures. read more

Really enjoyed our meals - very generous portions. The servers seemed to be working hard, but quite inattentive. Our drinks finally arrived halfway through the meal. One of our table members ordered only a dinner salad, and still hadn't received it well after everyone else had finished their salads and started into their main course. She flagged down a server and asked about it, and the server glibly stated, "I'm not your server ", before turning on her heel and disappearing. Looking for dinner in Wenatchee during some sort of cool downtown snowboard event was a challenge, so after trying to find a spot for too long, we went to Bob's Classic because we remembered driving past it. With relatively low expectations, we went in and looked at the menu and found items we could both order. I got the prime rib and my husband got the Viking Burger. He thought the burger was solidly good. I thought the prime rib was too - slightly over medium, I should have ordered medium rare. A TON OF FOOD. Biggest surprise was the baked potato had a garlic butter - never thought of that and boy was it delicious. I don't really ever eat a potato side - I'll either ask for it to be omitted or maybe take a bite or two. It was delicious. This place is good solid Americana food. Nothing fancy, big portions. Loved the atmosphere & friendly service. However our food was just ok. The club sandwich had cheap "land o frost" style turkey (not impressed).... The fish and chips had a nice flakey batter but inside was mostly hollow- one piece of fish was so dry and rubbery I had to cut it with a knife, that's not what you want from fish and chips at all! The chicken burger did look good though and there were a few other things on the menu that sounded really good- I'd be willing to give Bobs another go to try something else. read more

I just stopped in to Bob's on February 7 2026, I hadn't been there in 30 years, and Wow has this place has bottomed out, first off after seating ourselves , I took our waitress Lauren K, 20 minutes to bring us Menus, we ordered Potato skins which turned out to be baked potatoes that where not hallowed out, they where done wrong , my girl friend ordered the Mango fish tacos, she said tasted like sh*t, I ordered the burger dip, which the burger was burnt and the Bottom bun was soggy. The waitress acted like it was such a burden to serve anyone, a young man brought in a very young child about 2 years of age, who kept crying and screaming , turns out it was our waitress child, two couples left because of that child's crying and screaming, her boyfriend / Husband should have taken the child home so the diners could have enjoyed their time at bobs. We're back in town after being away for 12 years. Bob's Classic on Wenatchee Ave was one of our favorite social spots in the evening and favorite breakfast spots in the mornings. I still miss the huge full cross-cut slice of ham with eggs and hash browns. Bob's has been here at least 25 years (that I remember), still known for it's bar room cocktails and wines. Tonight (day after Christmas) we had a small gathering of family--nine of us. The dinner menu covers everything from bar snacks to sandwiches to salads to steaks--something for everyone. The restaurant section is separated from the bar and lounge area, albeit they're only steps away from each other. In the bar, the TV is covering sports; in the restaurant photos of classic celebrities cover the walls. I ate my Cobb Salad while a young Frank Sinatra watched from his famous jailhouse mugshot (see pic). Food portions have always been enough to satisfy, and the selections are all the time-honored entrées you'll find in a small town café. I think of Bob's as the classic "4-Star liquor bar". This place has really gone down hill. I try it every once and awhile hoping it has improved but it keeps getting worse. They are horribly understaffed. It took an hour just to get our order taken, and the previous table's dirty dishes cleared from our table. If there is a big game going on, they should staff adequately. Food was sub par. This is beyond disgusting and disappointing that a restaurant would just boil chicken instead of actually grilling it. I had to put it to the side. In town for Union business/ officer's training for 5 nights. 4 guys in my group. We ate here Sunday night for dinner when we arrived... We came back Monday morning for breakfast...... And Dinner again Monday night. Seriously good food I can try my best to remember everything ordered: Sunday night - I had the Club house sandwich. OMG tasty... B- had the prime rib, raved about it. J- had a hamburger and loved it. But he loved the sweet potato fries even more. And I can't remember what D- had for dinner but he ordered the deep fried pickle Spears and we all LOVED THEM. Monday morning- I had Another Clubhouse sandwich.....it was soooooo good. J- had eggs benedict and said it was amazing. B- steak and eggs and said it was almost as good as the prime rib.... D- had a regular breakfast with a massive hit cake. He couldn't finish it all and said it was really good. Monday night = 1/2 off all Burgers. I'm not going to talk about anyone's dinner but mine...... It was THE best hamburger I have ever had...... I ordered a Swiss mushroom with Blu cheese chunks. Waitress came back out about 2 minutes after placing the order and asked me, "Do you want the Blu cheese on top or cooked in?" I was staying at the hotel across the street, and it was getting late. I asked the person at the desk about this place for dinner, and the comment was it was 'okay" but recommended another pub down the street a half a block. I opted for a shorter walk. Nothing on the menu appealed to me, although I might have been inclined to order tacos since it was Taco Tuesday, but didn't know that until I heard someone at the next table get told it was an option by my server after I ordered, and apparently there were options for types of tacos, even how you like your fish prepared. Since nothing really appealed to me, I ordered nachos and a couple of beers. The beer was a local IPA, Bootjack from Icicle out of Leavenworth. At least the beer was good. Came with my group to Bob's Classic for Superbowl Sunday hoping that this bar's multitude of TVs could make up for our lack of one. They do have a plentiful amount of TVs. If you sit in the bar area, I guarantee that there'll be at least one TV within your line of sight comfortably. But, you must be 21 to sit here. Unfortunate for families or teens under the age of 21. Also, even though there are a lot of TVs, don't expect to be able to hear anything from them. The bar area was not loud, it was just that the sound on the TVs did not disperse well. This is kind of bummer when you're trying to catch the National Anthem or the Halftime Show. On Sundays, Bob's has a full day of happy hour when you sit in the bar area only. The happy hour menu isn't bad, you can get a few bucks off of appetizers and drinks. For drinks, I would recommend sticking to their beer options. My boyfriend and I tried their happy hour margarita and it was not very good. For a little under $4, the blended margarita was pretty watery and didn't have much flavor at all. The margarita over ice, rather than blended, may be better since you might be able to taste the flavors more. But, I can't guarantee anything and definitely would recommend sticking to beer. For our table, we ordered the The Sampler and Supreme Nachos. Both these appetizer dishes are LARGE and can be shared with friends. With my group of four people, we didn't finish either appetizer because there was so much food. As for the quality of food, I would say it is pretty average. The nachos had a lot of toppings, but get kind of mushy after awhile if you don't eat it fast enough. Also, I feel like nachos are quite difficult to mess up. The Sampler has lots of items: Nachos, Onion Rings, Fried Pickle Spears, Mozzarella Sticks, Fried Green Beans, and Mini Burritos. The fried green beans were the best part of the sampler plate (in my opinion). It's definitely a good mix of appetizers foods. But, everything is fried. It's get so tiring eating it after while, because it's oily and there's lots of breading. read more

Not a good visit but be sure to read 'til the end. I've been here a few times and I like their specials. The burgers are pretty good, especially on Monday when they're half-price, (cheaper than Burger King) and some of the servers are exceptional but one waitress, Kathleen, just ruined it for me. I went in because I wanted to watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. I don't get it on my TV and I had a friend with a dog in the ring. Wanting to stretch my evening out, I ordered the coconut prawn starter and really enjoyed them. The waitress knew what my plan was but maybe because I wasn't drinking alcohol, she resented me sitting at her station. She was so... well, it was like she was working really hard to be barely cordial. After the starter, I ordered the night's special, baby back ribs with beans and cornbread. The ribs were pretty good, the beans from a can and the cornbread was HARD!!! I couldn't believe anyone would serve that in a restaurant. I certainly would not have served it in my home, not even to my dog. Had the waitress not been so mean, I might have said something, but it wasn't that big of a deal. My friend's dog had just won best of breed. Next up was best of group and I was so excited. I finished my meal half-way through the group competition and that darned waitress was ready for me to leave. As soon as I settled my bill (with a 20% tip) she started bumping into me as she passed by. One time she even brushed the back of my hair with a plate of food! I came home with sticky hair!!! She has waited on me before and is very nice - as well as top-notch competent. She even remembered me and mentioned she had seen me shopping at the grocery store. I ordered the Viking burger with bacon added and I have to say it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. I took one bite and decided I ought to take a photo - it was superb. The patty was perfectly cooked and the bacon super crispy and tasty. The tomato was juicy without falling apart. There's a pretzel bun and fries. It comes with two, generous onion rings which, to me, was the perfect amount because they can be so filling. They were crispy and tasted exactly like onion rings should taste. (Some restaurants, these days, have been serving rings that taste like they've been dipped in cake mix - gross!) The restaurant itself is clean, the decorating is eclectic and interesting and they play the best music. ('70's Rock - my favorite.) I have to change my earlier estimation and recommend Bob's Classic Brass and Brews to anyone looking for a great place to have a burger - and a beer, if that's your thing. So we stopped here to have lunch on the way from Tacoma to Lake Chelan on my wedding weekend. We had a party of 6 (5 and a baby) and they seemed completely unprepared for our party. The sign said "seat yourself" so we did at a large table that was being bussed. The first server that interacted with us was really rude and said "I told you to wait!" the second server was fine but some of the comments she made to our party were borderline offensive. She brought out our drink order and said "a beer and wine for the ladies and a coors for the "brother" we were all completely mortified! It was a situation that we all talked about for the entire weekend! What a bad thing to have engrained in your memory! Hopefully this is an isolated incident, as one of my good friends is a Wenatchee police officer and said she's never experienced anything like that at this establishment. I've never been to this restaurant before, but my friends who joined me have been. I'm very upset with several issues: First, when I walked in, nobody greeted me by I didn't know if my friends were here yet and I had to ask if I could find them. Waitress said I could. They weren't so I waited in the foyer. I got up and asked if I could sit at a table to wait for them, and asked for sine water and coffee. About half an hour later, another waitress, who ended up being our waitress, asked if I was ready to order and I told her no that I was waiting for others. Second, effective friends showed up, it took that waitress roughly 20 minutes to come with menus and asked for drink orders. Then it took another 20 minutes to bring them out. Third, by the time she came back by the table, one child finished their drink so she asked if another was wanted. Friends said yes and asked if we could go ahead and order. She took the orders, 4 of us, and things were not quite right. The son ordered Mini burgers with no relish with fries, the daughter ordered grilled cheese with fries, friend ordered French dip and fries. All of them came with fries. My order was fish n fries. I asked if i could get a small salad also. Fourth, it took a very long time to bring out the orders and i asked if it was taking so long because they were short staffed in the kitchen. She said they were training. There were only about a dozen people in he whole restaurant and we couldn't figure out why the wait staff took so long to do anything. Fifth, the mini burgers had a bad taste according to the son, the grilled cheese actually looked like it had been dunked in oil. My $20 fish dish, which was only 2 small pieces of fried fish, which were really tasty, although 3 pieces would have been better for the price. I had to ask for fries, which took almost as long as I took to bring the dishes themselves, because apparent she didn't heat me say the word "too" when i asked about a salad with mine and she brought out the 2 pieces of fish and a small salad. Sixth, by the time we were finished, it took a long time to get her attention, she was just standing by the kitchen texting on her phone. My check was very strange. I was charged for my coffee, the $20 for the meal, BUT she also charged ala carte. A charge of $2 and change for the fries and another charge of $.98 for the salad. I asked her why i was charged extra and she told me she thought i just wanted a salad, no fries, so she had to make a fries order on it. I couldn't get it across to her that it was wrong to charge me extra for the salad too, and she said if she had charged me for a salad with the meal, it would have been $7 more. I told her that i shouldn't because i didn't get THAT salad. I couldn't get it across to her that if i was charged a price for the meal, there should not have been an extra charge for either the salad or the fries, not both. For some reason I had this place bookmarked to try. I'm not entirely sure why. Perhaps I was under the impression that this place was a craft brewery as well? I'm not too sure. So many bookmarks make it difficult to recall why they got bookmarked for some places. Bob's Classic Brass & Brew is your typical pub located in downtown Wenatchee. The service was friendly but a bit slow. As far as the food goes it is okay. Nothing too above and beyond as far as expectations go but it is decent. I had the Crispy Chicken Caesar salad. It was relatively fresh so we were good on that. It's a bit irksome when you find brown spots in your salad at dining establishments but that wasn't the case here yet it wasn't the most flavorful either. Steve got a burger and he thought it was just fair too. We were both puzzling over what flagged my attention for the place but we couldn't figure it out. I asked if they brewed their own beer here in which we were told "no". We were also informed though that at some point in the future the plan is that they eventually will be brewing their own beer but what we were hearing sounded like there was no eta of that coming up very soon. read more

My sister and I decided to eat here at the recommendation of the hotel staff where we staying. The service was a bit slow to start, but she came around to refill soft drinks. The food is like the old fashioned diner food, very good place to eat and very affordable for the family. We would return again. They offer Happy Hour all day on Sunday; only issue I had was that they offer Happy Hour in the bar only! I had kids with us so, not quite fair to limit where one can sit for Happy Hour...
