Bought a $1500 bike from Bob's in Fair Oaks. One week later we had to bring it back (took it to the Roseville location)... the spokes weren't tightened properly, the crank was loose, the shocks didn't have hardly any air in them, the derailleur was bent. Then to top it all off - I had to wait 3 days to get my brand new bike back and it wasn't even ready when they promised it. Can you say 'pre-sale inspection'? read more

I have been a bike junkie since I was a 11 years old. BMX, Mountain bike, Road, and Gravel. I have worked at a bike shop for a year. Bob's Cycle is by far the friendliest bike shop I've been to. They are a very honest bike shop. There service pricing is very fair and for that fair price, they are thorough. They tell you what was done to your bike and they also explain everything. They are building relationships with their clients, while most bikes shops are churn and burn type shops. I highly recommend this shop, they will not steer you wrong. read more

I used to loathe coming here because the guy who helped me wasn't very pleasant. But today I met an older employee was incredibly helpful, kind and generous. He solved my problems with dignified, measured professionalism that I haven't seen in years. He's changed my opinion of the bicycle shop so drastically I decided to write a favorable review for him, if he's the guy in charge they're gonna go for. But that younger guy needs to make sure his attitude doesn't affect the way he treats and deals with customers, it's not very fun dealing with him. Bought what I think is an expensive bike plus other stuff, close to $2000. Was very happy with the service and told I should come back for my fitting. Which I assumed was included in the price only to find out they charge $100 extra for that. Had I known that from the beginning I would have bought my bike some where else. There are plenty of bike shops that include it. I felt very taken, as having my bike fitted to me was very important, I will not be going back. read more

Eric the GM was super nice after I won and Nick and Clint at the Roseville store were beyond nice and helpful. They helped me get my bike set up just right and didn't try to oversell me on anything. Bought a Christmas bike for my child explaining I need training wheels. Bought the bike and was provided training wheels at the point of sale that were not on the bike. Turns out the training wheels were the wrong size for the bike and I was told if there is an issue come back. So after the holiday I returned and was told I will have to buy the correct training wheels for $29 and was offered a $2 dollar discount. I explained I bought the bike and was provided the training wheels at the point of sale which was presented as a bundle deal. So because of the technicians error and deception at the point of sale I have advised Bob's Cycle store I will no longer do business with them. Thank you for providing the incorrect part which impacted my child's Christmas experience. It also took over two weeks for a contact about training wheels from the store which I find ridiculous. May you learn from this review and improve your staffs training. read more

I called store to ask for help regarding installing new bearings where the pedals connect to the hub. Gentleman at the store was very helpful and friendly. He answered my questions and offered additional information. I was impressed with his willingness to help me on the phone and his bicycle knowledge. Been into Bob's many times and got very good customer service. Got the parts I needed and on my way. Last time in, I asked about a tune up on my mtn. bike that I did not purchase from Bob's. Service was REFUSED. Got the run around about extra charges and many weeks just for an appointment. I made the comment about getting my own repair stand for my bike and doing my own repairs. Their thoughts expressed to me were, "If your bike lasts that long to get it onto your own repair stand." Dude didn't even think that my bike would make it from his shop to my house in the back of my truck! Just a little too "snooty" for me. read more
