I'm out almost a thousand dollars for the last certification I paid for, and never received --after many broken promises. We traveled with California Scuba on multiple occasions. Both times we were left to fend for ourselves once leaving the country. Thankfully we were able to make due, even with angst. The last trip was the final straw. Our entire dive family was overcharged for a bus charter that my wife and I helped arrange. To make it worse, we had to foot the bill for the gratuity owed to the driver on our reputation, while Mike pocketed all the difference!!! So unless you stuck your face directly up against the glass you weren't able to see anything. I was very uncomfortable with this and decided this was not the place for us. First they said they requested the auth from my insurance then I was told they didn't have all the info to request the auth from my insurance. When I asked what else do they need to submit the request for authorization I was told they process the orders as they come in. I called my insurance company and they had no request on file from them at all. I called yesterday and spoke with a supervisor by the name of Jeremy and he promised to look into it and get back to me today. I haven't heard back yet. Im going to go get my orders from my Dr office and try doing this myself. People who decide to work in patient care of any kind might actually want to care. There are many companies out there that will take your needs seriously. This isn't one of those places. Save yourself wasted time. Update Jeremy called me back and they requested my authorization yesterday at 5pm. We will see. Fingers crossed. 5/20 Update. My authorization came back the next day. Jeremy did what he said he was going to do and I had my appointment today to get my cpap. He was knowledgeable and helpful. He answered all my question. We stayed at Secrets Resort, Maroma beach and we were spoiled every minute of the trip. The food was amazing, we loved the 24/7 room service, the drinks kept flowing, and the service from all of the staff was first class. The hotel really went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for us during our stay. I am so grateful that Ashley helped us find something in our budget, that she answered my last minute texts so quickly the day we were heading to the airport for departure. I also like that the shuttle from and to the airport in Cancun was arranged as a part of our package so we weren't scrambling to figure that part out.
