I was cute. Had an interview. It went amazing. I left, got some gas and sat a bit at the station and filled out a few more job applications...kinda just cleared my head. I finally pulled off only to realize I had a flat... no problem, I'll just fill it up w a little air, no sweat... I mean since I'm at the gas station right! Luckily, I had some sandals in my back seat... I kicked those heels off and got to work. Or so I thought NOPE. IT DID NOT work. I live in Milwaukee, but was aaaall the way in Port Washington. "It's always something", I told myself! ALWAYS!!! First thing: I call to make sure my mom can get my son from school Second thing: I texted my husband to send a tow; they said it would be 45 minutes on the low end...that was at 3:45pm. I received a call from a friendly gentleman at 3:48 letting me know he was 6 minutes out. This young man made me aware of the color of his vehicle and he let me know he'd get me squared away with no problems ASAP! When he got there, we exchanged pleasantries. I told him I was not a skinny girl and asked if it was ok to sit in the car... He said it was cool and so I sat in the car (filling out for more jobs). After some time he asked for my hand just in case my tire fell on the ground, he even gave me his glove (aaawww) Now y'all, let's talk about this car... it's on its way to glory and definitely looks the part, but the way he handled it, you would have thought it had a long life ahead. Ultimately, Garrett did not need my help, but during our "encounter" he shared that the day was hard for him as he'd received some upsetting news about a friend and that at that moment he was feeling a bit defeated, by the magnitude of the circumstances, but also relieved as he had just learned that his friend was now stable. Garrett went on to say that this helped shift things a bit more into perspective for him... Anything can happen at anytime to anyone. He shared with me that even though he had all of this going on, he had an obligation to his team. His people at work needed him...I told him I needed him! I was honored to have been taken care of by a young man who appears to be dedicated not only to his work, but his ability to express vulnerability with customers. I asked his friend's name and his one more time as my intentions are to keep them both in dedicated fervent prayer. He didn't let our talk get in the way of his professionalism. He educated me on what my next best moves would be for the care and maintenance of my vehicle. He wrapped up my tire, got me my receipt and I was on my way. I was rolling out of the lot at 4:11pm. This evening I needed the assistance of a Towing service as I found a screw in my tire. I had my children with me so I didn't want to risk the drive home with a bad tire. JP was our hero. He called to let me know he was on his way. He was very kind, courteous and helpful from the time he arrived to when he left. When he realized he could not remove the bad tire due to damaged lug nuts, he offered to patch my tire. This was awesome and saved me the time of having to make an appointment with a repair shop. I hadn't even considered that as an option so I am very grateful that he suggested it. He even took the time to show me the damaged lug nuts on each tire. There was more than I cared to see. He explained that these will need to be replaced the next time my car is serviced as Towing companies do not have the tools to remove these damaged lug nuts. He went above and behind my expectations. Last evening I utilized Bob's Main Street Auto & Towing for their towing services. They were very timely and efficient. I was especially impressed by Rob, the gentleman that came to get me, my dog and my car. I was traveling with my large (and gentle) dog. He has severe separation anxiety and I was worried that he would have to stay in my car alone, during the tow (which was about a half hour). Not only did Rob say it was alright to have my dog in the cab with us, but he so kindly offered to help me get him into the cab (and out), as he is a 110 pound dog and there was no way I could lift him myself. My dog felt so comfortable with Rob that he laid with his head next to Rob's lap. Knowing that my dog was relaxed, was a huge relief for me. Rob was a pleasure to talk to during the half hour ride to the dealership and I appreciated him going the extra mile to keep my dog calm during the ride. My car stopped running on I-43 north of Milwaukee, heading home to Chicago last Sunday night. AAA called me an hour and a half after my initial service request to tell me that no towing service so far would accept the Sunday night call. Eventually they called Bob's, who of course took it. Thank goodness! The driver, Dave, couldn't have been more friendly and interested in my welfare, warning me to get to the inside of the shoulder as quickly as I could as I got out of my car. Along the way, Dave pointed out that my transponder would be pinging the tolls we passed through so I should get in touch with IPass to have the charges deleted. I wouldn't have thought of that, maybe ever. We got to Chicago without delay and left the car at my nearby mechanic's garage and since my home was on Dave's return route, he dropped me off on the corner. It was a late night and I ended up with a costly repair on the car but Dave (& Bob's) helped make the night much less difficult than it could have been. read more

I had my BMW 3-series towed by JP on 11/19/23, great job all around! Bob's dispatcher gave an accurate estimate of when he'd arrive (AAA now sucks as far as text updates), and JP promptly called when he was on his way from his last tow. He really knew his stuff, and was very careful and deliberate to make sure my little sports car wasn't damaged! I've previously used Bob's for towing my cars, and had a great experience every time. All of their flatbeds are properly equipped to tow sports cars, not just SUV and standard cars. Sports cars with low ground clearance need ramps, and must be secured on the flatbed with belts over or through the wheels, rather than with hooks over the aluminum suspension which could cause serious damage. Bob's Main Street Auto has the best customer service and the friendliest staff. My windshield wipers had stopped working making my car unsafe to drive in rain or snow - I have two little ones that need to be picked up at different locations so I was really nervous having to drive around not being able to see out of my window. When I called they were really busy but said that if I dropped off my car they would see what they could do in between appointments. I dropped off my car on Friday, Saturdays they only open until noon so I was worried I wouldn't have a vehicle until Monday possibly Tuesday - it was a little after noon when I got the call, MY CAR WAS FIXED :) I was so happy, they were so nice about it too. read more

The driver, Dave, that picked up and towed my Subaru Legacy this evening was wonderful. I immediately received confirmation he was coming within an hours time. About 15 minutes later he called my phone to let me know exactly how long he'd be. He arrived within 35-40 of my request for a tow, and 20 minutes earlier than the timeframe given. He was extremely kind, knew exactly what he was doing and knew his way around a car easily and fast, he was funny and made a frustrating car situation much better with his positive and fun attitude. I am so impressed with their level of service. I had picked up a nail in my tire at work and through my roadside assistance they were the towing company that my roadside assistance provider contacted and I am so grateful they did! They came out and took a look and they towed my car to their shop, fixed my tire and returned it back to me within an hour. I am so thankful for their help and I plan on using their services in the future if I need to. Not only did he ensure my vehicle made it to the destination timely and safely, he went above and beyond to also ensure I was going to get the service I intended to receive at the destination for a tire change by double checking my tire size and communicating that to the tire change place. I experienced an issue with a loss of power steering control while driving on I-41, I called AAA and Dave got my call for a tow. He was awesome! I was told by AAA that he would be there by 8:11 p.m. however he called me when he was 15 minutes out and arrived at 7:55 p.m. He got my car on the bed, drove me from Richfield, WI to the dealer, provided some insight as to what could be wrong with my car based on past experiences and maintained a level of professionalism that was outstanding. We hit a deer going 75 on highway 45 near West Bend and totaled our car. Dave's from West Bend got there so quick and took good care of us. We didn't know about Bob's but the police who responded to our call recommend them to us. Dave even gave us a ride to our home about 3 miles away and waited patiently while we emptied our car. It was 1:30 am and he acted as if he had nothing else to do but take care of us. I also appreciated the message on the side of his truck that promoted mental health awareness and reducing stigma. So thankful to Dave/Bob's Towing for helping my daughter get her car unstuck after accidentally going off the road near a culvert leaving her hanging and unable to move. Tom McK. . . was dispatched by AAA in response to my texting and requesting a service call/jump start. I have a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Tom was very familiar with the unusual set up for starting this vehicle with jumper cables. He carries needle nose vice grips which are needed to connect to the recessed positive post in the fuse box under the hood. After checking my battery, he started my car, and all was good. On my way home one night my car died and I found myself stranded on a freeway off-ramp. Due to the high volume of AAA calls that evening, I was waiting for a tow for 3+ hours. When I finally did get a call from the tow truck driver, I discovered that the AAA geo-locater had put me in a totally different township miles outside of that driver's typical range of operations. I give Bob's towing a five star review. I had the driver Josh who did a awsome job loading and unloading my truck that locked itself in park. He has 10years experience and it showed today. I have aftermarket 12" wide wheels that he made a main priority not to damage and also with a truck stuck in park isnt the greatest of situations to start with. I recently took my car to Bob's to get a second opinion on some suggested repairs I was told needed to be done on the car from a dealership I'd taken my car to for years.
