Good example, I was leaving a gas station and forgot to take the gas pump hose out of the nozzle, and pull it off the pump. Shortly after I started getting a check engine light. I had deformed the threaded threaded insert for the gas cap. Went to the dealer and they were just befuddled ended up quoting me an entire new gas tank for several thousand dollars. Took it to Jeff He worked up a little die but he was able to insert and straighten out the threads and I can't really remember what he charged me, I think was less than $100. I could give many similar examples. He can service literally any car and as I said, he does excellent work,he's honest and will save you money.

The rental company wanted to charge me for a tow and a full tire replacement, talk about stressful! It was a Saturday and most shops were either closed or too far away. I found Rick's Car Care on Yelp and saw they were listed as open until noon. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying they were actually closed on Saturdays. I decided to knock anyway, and I'm so glad I did! To my surprise, a gentleman named Jimmi answered the door. After I explained the situation, he graciously offered to take a look at my tire, despite being closed for the day. He quickly assessed the damage and was able to fix it with a simple plug. Not only did Jimmi go out of his way to help me, but he also treated me fairly and didn't try to overcharge me just because I was from out of town. The whole repair was fast, VERY affordable, and I was back on the road in under 10 minutes. Jimmi was an absolute lifesaver! His kindness and willingness to help a stranger truly made my day. Upon picking my car up, I had a suspicion there were more miles on it than should be, from memory. Upon mentioning it to the owner, I was assured they don't drive customer cars for personal use and that I must be mistaken. Then, I recently received a bill from the Illinois Tollway with a picture of my car going through multiple tolls. It is wrong for a shop to use customer cars for anything more than a test drive to ensure it's working. A 200-mile trip to another state is unacceptable. Being lied to is infuriating.
