Had a rock hit the windshield and the crack going up from the impact site was 10-12 inches long. Called Bob's Windshield Repair and he came out the next day. In a little under an hour it was fixed!! I was in Austin for work and my minivan suffered a pretty significant windshield chip from a rock on the drive from New Mexico. Not knowing any of the local business reputations, I looked on yelp for windshield chip repair. I read Dr Bob's reviews and texted him. Bob responded quickly and we made an appt to meet the very next day. We met at a shopping center fair to both our driving distance. Bob fixed my windshield as I shopped for a few groceries. Outstanding service and repair. I contacted Safelite (who doesn't do mobile repair in Austin) and the soonest they could see me at their location was 4 weeks. I guess they spend all their money on commercials and not customer service. I called Bob and he came over the next day and got it fixed. Bob is a pretty good guy. He finished up the repair on my windshield in 20 minutes, and he came over the day I called. he was willing to come over within half an hour but I had to have him wait until after lunch. Great service, very knowledgeable. He has the phone forward to his cell phone (he was in Lakeway when I called.) not much else to add except that I'll be letting him handle my windshield issues from now on. $45 for the first crack was cheaper than the previous guy ($55.) FYI if you do have your windshield repaired, make sure you have access to shade, UV light sets the filler so they can't work out in the sunlight. read more

Bob was able to come to my office the same day I called. He repaired a chip on my windshield in 30 minutes. Very reasonable price $50...half of another mobile service. I will definitely use him next time. He is a retired computer programmer for IBM. Ask him about FORTRAN or COBOL. read more

Bob has repaired windshields for me three times now. He's reasonably priced and quite good at what he does. His response time is usually very good - this latest time was really remarkable. I called him at 4:30pm. He asked if I wanted it done today, to which I said sure, if possible. He asked where I lived and he was driving by - literally one block from me.
