My family and myself have been here once before and the owner Wally made us feel like family and was the best customer experience I have ever had not to mention the food was fantastic! Today I walked in by myself and Wally asked where my family was (remembered my wife by name) asked about my son and daughter. I explained that my family was feeling under the weather and it was just me today, he took my order and this amazing human being not only made the food I ordered (which was absolutely delicious) but made my sick wife and son Lentil soup and threw in 3 orders of the most delicious empanadas I have ever had free of charge. A couple of co workers and I ended up having lunch here and I was pleasantly surprise. This place was a hodge podge of Argentinian mixed with Mediterranean and American. The owner who was really friendly recommended their boca burgers, chicken and beef empanadas and fries. For me I was sold on all of them and my coworkers followed in suite as well as order the kabob and shawarma which was huge and could easily feed two. I've tried several items in the past including their cheese burgers (really good w/ thousand island dressing or chimichurri sauce), fries (crispy and seasoned), and empanadas (lots of different flavors to choose from, plus they can either fry or bake them based on your preference). I have always enjoyed my meal, but today was my first time trying their salad, and its seriously really good. I requested them to make the chicken extra spicy and they were definitely generous with the seasoning. The chicken is grilled, chopped, and placed on a bed of greens with a hard boiled egg. Hmm... now I'm wondering how much some avocado slices would cost. That would make this salad perfect! Amazing taste per usual, I'm American but my dad was born in Argentina and has always made Argentine food for us or took us places that made it. This place does not disappoint. This was our first time trying this location. Upon walking in, we were greeted by Wally, who is absolutely the sweetest man, and gave us recommendations on how to order. We were torn between a kebab and a chicken shawarma, and Wally made it happen by making our entree half and half. While waiting for our order Wally was holding a lovely conversation with us and was telling us his mother had just passed last night, but he was there with a smile on his face. The food is absolutely delicious, I have had my fair share of Mediterranean food, and this by far is AMAZING!!!!!!! It is weird that this place is called Boca burger because it is also called Aladdin's and they serve Mediterranean food. In my experience it is straight up delicious. I do not live in Claremont, but I do visit Claremont once in a while and I always eat here. The chicken kebab is very delicious definitely get the garlic sauce which is out of this world. Their hummus is creamy and delicious and that's really all you need. The whole platter is fantastic, and big enough for two meals IMO. Then they also have very delicious empanadas with very a super yummy salsa to dip them in. This place is absolutely delicious I've had the dolma and I had a cucumber yogurt salad also delicious.
