I loved this location! It wasn't crowded, and our food came out in about 10 minutes. The tuna melt was so good, I'll definitely be coming back just for that. I ordered it with the sweet potato fries, and they were cooked to perfection. I also got an ice cream cone on the side. It wasn't completely dipped, and the employee immediately offered to make me a new one. I declined because it wasn't a big deal to me, but I really appreciated that they noticed and wanted to make it right. That's the kind of customer service that stands out. The key to a good chili cheeseburger is to either make it easily handled so you can take bites without making a huge mess everywhere but still get a fair amount of chili and cheese goodness. Or you abandon all hope of civility and propriety, and just make a pool of chili and cheese and try to contain it in a burger somehow. This last type you definitely want to eat with a knife and fork. What you don't want is somewhere in between--too much chili and cheese to pick up the burger, but not quite enough left over to make you consider a knife and fork. I think that's the problem with the Hitch's version. It was very hard to eat because the chili would look some onto the wrapper but it was still portable enough to never eating it as a meal. The taste was good and I could see why people like it. But I felt kind of unfulfilled after eating it. The onion rings were good but they put so many compared to the burger, at an almost 2:1 ratio. If they had made the burger a bit bigger it wouldn't have seemed that they were skimping out on the main attraction. The service was okay. I didn't feel unwelcome. It just didn't feel like anyone was super helpful--no recommendations, no one checking how I liked everything, and not much banter when ordering. It felt very clinical. The space was nice though. And I was able to read a lot so that was great. I wish it was closer for that reason if nothing else. But since it's not I'm not sure when I'll be back. read more

We've been to the hitch several times and most of the time it's been good. Tonight, however, one of the meals we ordered was the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and it was so dry that it was beyond edible. I couldn't even take a full bite because it was impossible to chew through. I even tried different parts of the sandwich hoping to get a few bites in, but nope. My husband compared it to chicken jerky when he tried it. Not sure I'll be back again and wish we hadn't used the drive through because it wasn't until we got home that I discovered this. Every single time I passed it, I was by myself and thought, I need to stop here, but I wanted to wait and experience it with my husband. Wellllllll. today was finally the day, and let me tell you it was SO worth the wait. We decided to share a hamburger combo, and that was absolutely not a mistake. From the moment we walked in, the experience was top notch. The customer service alone deserves a standing ovation. The young ladies working the counter were friendly, patient, and genuinely happy to answer all my questions. You can feel the positive energy the second you step inside. Now let's talk about the food because WOW. The burger was perfection. Fresh, crisp lettuce and tomato, a bun that held everything together beautifully, and a patty cooked exactly right juicy flavorful and clearly made with care. The French fries and onion rings? Totally awesome. This is the kind of meal that hits every craving and leaves you smiling. And then came the surprise... they serve breakfast too! I saw breakfast plates coming out to other guests, and they looked absolutely delicious. We didn't try breakfast this time. but trust me it's already on our list for the next visit. As we were walking out, I asked if Hitch was a franchise or family owned. The young lady smiled and said, "Oh no, this is family-owned and the owners are here during the week and sometimes working too." That sealed it for us. Hubby ate already but I was hungry for a burger. We were greeted promptly upon entering & Julian was happy to recommend the Sidewinder Jalapeño Burger. I wanted a combo & couldn't decide between the regular fries (they have sweet potato fries, too) and onion rings. Julian suggested h as lf & half, best of both worlds! Thank goodness they serve Coke products (and not the other cola). I was snapping photos & my combo arrived quickly. piping hot! My patty looked burnt but it certainly was not. It was a really big & scrumptious, juicy burger. It had savory bacon & sliced jalapeños. My fries were perfect, crunchy & seasoned well. The onion rings were pretty good but slightly under seasoned- ranch dressing & ketchup to the rescue! All in all, perfectly pleased with my combo. It was 92 degrees at 6:30 pm & it could've been a little more comfortable at the burger joint. I was perspiring as I was eating my dinner. That's my only complaint. I was on my way to work and was about to stop by bakers for a burrito but I noticed the hitch. It even had a driver thru. I just got the kids meal burger. It was delicious and loaded. The fries were extra crispy just the way I love and I did not even request them to be. I told my daughter about it and now she wants to go. The meat is really tender, the salad is good portion, and the crispy onion balances well with the texture. I'm not sure if they are doing better, or it was because my first time try this out. I really like this place The Hitch! The burger is amazing. The Ohana burger, has the pineapple on it and you can have it on a chicken sandwich too. Always cooked well done! The customer service was unparalleled with how customer service used to be. It was a great find. Both of us got burgers and shared a plate of chilli cheese fries. People, to be able to make fries that don't go limp and soggy in no time at all is a skill almost to the level of alchemy. And this place did just that. I've gone to the location in Upland and Rancho Cucamonga. I like Rancho location better even though their hours are strange. But their fries are a way better than the Upland location. Upland fries - maybe 3 Rancho fries - solid 7 Burgers seem a bit fresher in Rancho. But after spending $60+ dollars on 4 burgers and fries, I expect at least edible fries. My daughter and I did a to go order since it was so close to closing time. The lady in the phone was very polite. We headed over to this neat restaurant to pick up. Clean inside and out. We got our Buffalo chicken salad with pita bread and ranch dressing. Always so tasty! The Buffalo chicken is quite spicy, but oh so good. The ranch dressing, of course, lowers the spice a bit. The salad is so big that we definitely split it. For dessert, we got churros and vanilla ice cream. It hit the spot. It was nice that it was ready right when I arrived so we enjoyed at home fast!
