The chicken shawerma plate hits the spot!! Ordered it with spicy hummus and grilled veggies which were the perfect sides to compliment the chicken. The dish had a huge portion which was enough for two meals easy. The food was clean, wasn't heavy, and you feel good after eating it. Chicken was well seasoned and veggies well roasted. Definitely plan on checking this place out again to scratch that Mediterranean itch!
I was in Claremont Village and was looking for a place to eat with a good lunch special. I saw Kathy XTO next to blaze pizza and decided I wanted food for lunch. I ordered their chicken kebab lunch special, which came with rice, garlic toum, veggies and a drink. I also ordered fries on the side. The chicken was tendered flavorful, the rice was well seasoned and not dry. The fries were made fresh to order. I ordered their special ice tea as my drink. Servers were friendly, and the restaurant was nice and clean. I plan to come back and try other things that they have on the menu.
I drove from Orange County just to come here, and that says a lot about how much I love this place. If you love Lebanese food, this is absolutely worth it. Their fattoush salad is huge and one of the best I've had in Southern California. The falafel is flavorful and cooked through perfectly. The chicken is perfectly marinated. I also absolutely love their spicy labneh dip, too. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend checking them out. They also have a La Verne and Monrovia location.

The feta cheese appetizer is a must-order, and their iced tea is honestly the best I've had anywhere. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff goes above and beyond every visit, making you feel welcome and appreciated. The restaurant is always clean, comfortable, and inviting. I've been coming here for years, at least twice a month and I've never had a bad experience or any issues. That kind of consistency is rare, and it's the reason I keep coming back. Great service & delicious food. First time visiting Cafe X20 and it was outstanding. We had great service by a very friendly young lady. I wish I got her name to mention. The dining room is large and clean with tables and booths. The plates are quite substantial. All in all a fantastic experience at Cafe X20

Unbelievable, I have driven past Cafe X2O in Claremont on so many occasions and never thought once to drop by and check them out. I didn't even know what type of cuisine they serve until yesterday. My eldest daughter and I were debating on which restaurant to eat at while parked in the Claremont Village. Btw, there is a parking structure available just around the block near the Claremont Packing House. So happy our restaurant of choice was Cafe X2O. This place is quite spacious with a very quaint and romantic ambiance. They also have outside patio seating in the front and back of the restaurant. Bar stool seating is also available. They have a big enough space to hold parties and events for sure. We now have dined here and our experience was unforgettable! Let's do a play by play... Upon entry, we weren't necessarily greeted right away, but eventually someone welcomed us and told us to sit wherever we like. Our server, Sofia, gave us the menus and offered some recommendations. She was very attentive and took care of us throughout the evening. Thank you Sofia for your amazing service! Another gentleman assisted us as well, but I didn't get his name. Thank you sir! Their menu includes house-made meze cold and hot appetizers, a variety of traditional Lebanese dishes, flatbreads, salads, fries, soups and more. They serve shawerma and kebab with various protein such as chicken, beef, and lamb in plates or pita wraps. They also have seafood such as shrimp, white fish, and salmon. For larger groups, they have family style meals and for the table options. Great selections for everyone! Our amazingly scrumptious dinner included... 1 Chicken Kebab Plate - 5 perfectly marinated cubed chicken served with soft and fluffy yellow rice pilaf, super light and tasty salad, and 2 sides of choice (yummy garlic paste, nicely grilled charred veggies) - OMG, excellent dish! I couldn't stop eating it. Will get again! 1 Chicken Shawerma Wrap - Slivers of thigh, lettuce, pickled cucumbers, & garlic spread rolled in pita bread plus an extra pita bread and pickled turnips (I didn't care for this) and 1 side of choice (decent hummus) - All ingredients blended well together... very tasty! 1 Falafel with 4 pieces - Deep fried chickpea balls, sliced tomatoes, pickled turnips & tahini sauce - Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside... very good! 1 Cheese Boreg with 4 pieces - Seasoned cheese in pastry pie, deep fried - Perfectly cheesy... surprisingly yummy! Will definitely get again! 1 Khaneh Cheese Cake - Layers of kataifi, spun pastry strands, & crushed pistachios filled with silky cheese blend - Rich and delectable... just delish! Hands down! I highly recommend Cafe X2O for its exceptional and quality foods woven in rich flavors and authentic taste, wonderful and friendly service, and welcoming, cozy, and comforting ambiance. This place has a nice balance on the color decor. It's very casual and it could be a little loud. I do have to say, the servers are not as attentive as the ones in the Monrovia location. Another thing that stood out to me was that it is not as clean either. The good thing the food is very good and freshly made.

This place is effing FANTASTIC!! I'm telling you the way my eyes closed with that first bite into my Lamb Chops (hand clap, hand clap, thunderous hand clap) BoYYYYYY my mouth watered. The rice was perfect - savory, fluffy perfect bedding for the Lamb Chops. My Lamb Chops had a beautiful balance of grilled and juicy, succulent. Salad was crisp and refreshing - so was my beer LOL Baba ghanouj and hummus was delicious as well. Overall I highly recommend this place. Park in the garage, sit out on the back patio (in the summertime I would imagine this gets a cool gust of wind) listen to their popular music and enjoy. Respectfully Reviewed
We stopped in for dinner after an appointment since we were in the area. The food was good, and the portion sizes were generous and easy to share. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an accident that occurred during our meal. The chair my husband was sitting on gave out due to a weak or broken back leg, causing him to fall to the floor. Thankfully, he wasn't injured, but it could have been much worse. We were dining with our baby, and the thought of what could have happened if my husband had been holding the baby at the time is honestly terrifying. The same goes for an elderly guest or anyone with limited mobility. A staff member did apologize and mentioned this was the first time something like this had happened, which I certainly hope is true. However, beyond that initial apology, we felt the incident was not handled with the level of care or concern we expected. Nothing was offered to make up for what happened... not even a small gesture or partial comp on our meal. Because of the way the situation was handled, we don't feel comfortable returning. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and addresses it so no one else has to go through something similar.
Came in for the hummus beef shawarma with garlic paste and... wow. Flavor so good I almost tried to adopt it as my emotional support animal. Now, I read some reviews saying this place "discriminates against dogs." Honestly? The service was so good, I think even the dog would've given them 5 stars if it could write. My dog may not have gotten seated, but he was sitting pretty solid in the car waiting on leftovers. What really stood out though I actually saw them take the time to help a homeless man outside. That kind of humanity deserves extra credit in my book. So yeah: food = amazing, service = top notch, humanity points = bonus star. If I could give 6 stars I would. Place was clean!

My friend and I were strolling around Claremont Village for a while, then decided to look for a lunch spot in the area. As we were brainstorming what type of cuisine we wanted, we both agreed upon West Asian/Middle Eastern. So, of course, I hopped on Yelp and was delighted to findCafe X2O! Seeing that it was a Lebanese spot, I knew that the food would be pretty good from the get-go. When we arrived to the restaraunt for late lunch, we were seated promptly, given the menus, and water to drink. We ordered the chicken breast kabob plate, the beef shawarma plate, with sides of grilled vegetables, hummus, baba ghanouj, and toum (garlic sauce). Of the bunch, the baba ghanouj and toum were my FAVORITE! SO FLAVORFUL! As for the grilled vegetables, I'm personally not a fan of whole roasted roma tomatoes and a whole grilled zucchini. The chicken kabob and beef shawarma plates were pretty yummy! However, I did prefer the meat and the rice to be a lot more seasoned & salted. They both tasted a bit too bland for my personal liking, however, the proteins were tender and cooked to perfection! (I do tend to be extremely particular about West Asian/Middle Eastern food, given that I am West Asian/Middle Eastern myself and have high expectations when eating out - hence the preference in extra seasoning! ) I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have ayran (Middle Eastern yogurt drink), as most spots tend have this on their beverage menu. That would've been perfect to sip on the extremely hot day it was! I do plan on coming back here to try out their falafel and shawarma wraps. Highly recommend to folks in the area that are curious to try West Asian/Middle Eastern food and are looking for a solid spot to eat! read more

Isaac and Connor provided excellent service, they were very friendly and attentive. The restaurants ambiance is cute and they play excellent music! We came in on a Monday night and there was a lot of customers. I got the falafel plate and my boyfriend got a beef shawarma plate. The hot sauce has a nice kick (4/10, flavor was there but could've been spicier). The baklava tasted fresh, was flakey, and had a delicious amount of rose syrup. Overall I would come again read more

I originally found this place on TikTok and had to check it out -- and I'm glad I did. The reviews were right on point. They offer a lunch special Monday-Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM for $12.99, which is an amazing deal. It includes your choice of a grilled chicken kebab or a falafel vegan plate, plus a fountain drink or iced tea. I've tried both plates on different occasions, and each one was great. The chicken kebab was tender and flavorful, served with salad, rice, pita, and garlic sauce. The falafel plate was just as good -- fresh, crispy falafel with generous sides. The staff has been friendly every time I've visited, the food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Definitely recommend Cafe X2O! read more
I've been to Cafe X20 multiple times but kept forgetting to write a review--so here it is! I visited with friends after church today Sunday December 15, 2024, and it was another amazing experience. We were seated and taken care of by Isso and his team, who provided excellent service from start to finish. The food arrived promptly, within about 15 minutes. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Fries and the Beef Shawarma Plate, and both were absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked--a fantastic Lebanese - Mediterranean fusion meal. The location is super convenient, right in the center of Claremont on Indian Hill, with plenty of parking available in the nearby structure close to the Claremont Packing House. I highly recommend Cafe X20 for its incredible food, friendly service, and great location. It's always a pleasure dining here! Craved Mediterranean food today and remembered the great lunch special here. Brought my daughter here, and she ordered the chicken Shawarma fries, which were delicious, piping hot, garlicky. Impressively generous with the amount of chicken on the fries. I stuck with my order of the chicken kebab plate, which did not disappoint! We both had enough leftovers for a second meal! Two adults having lunch at cafe X2O of Claremont on a Friday lunch. My friend has recommended this local restaurant awhile back and we decided to give it a try. It's located on Indian Hill blvd and I recommend patrons park at the parking structure just next to the restaurant (behind). It gets really busy during meal hours. We ordered two lunch specials; one falafel plate with rice, salads, and plus a fountain drink. Falafel tastes pretty fresh, salads too, and the rice and pita is just better than average. And the chicken kebab lunch special comes with chicken kebab (tender and flavorful) salads, pita and rice. Both lunch specials come with fountain drink of your choice. The restaurant is modern and warm in vibe. Our waitress is very friendly and explains everything in detail. We will be back to explore other menu items. Highly Recommended for lunch! read more

Soooo good!! Omg I forgot how much I love Mediterranean food We ordered the chicken kebab plate, the white fish plate, and the beef shawarma, and everything was delicious. The chicken kebab was juicy with a nice smoky char, the beef shawarma was tender and full of flavor, and the white fish was light, flaky, and seasoned perfectly. The garlic paste was definitely the star, rich, bold, and addictively garlicky. My mom loved it so much she ordered an extra cup, and we dipped literally everything into it. The only critique: they went really heavy on the lime. It seemed to start on the lettuce, but it ended up soaking into the rice and sauces too. At one point the rice felt like it was drowning in lime juice, which made a few bites more sour than I'd like. But honestly, the rest of the flavors were so on point that it didn't take away from how much I enjoyed the meal. I also love that the menu shares the history behind the food, it makes the experience feel extra meaningful and connected to the culture. I took my mother out to the Cafe x2o location for Mother's Day and it was our first time there. The ambiance was soothing, and quite elegant, very clean, very attentive host and very large portioned meals. The food was very flavorful and generously sized plates. Cafe X2O is a casual Mediterranean cafe in Claremont, CA near Keck Graduate Institute in the village. There's plenty of indoor seating (booths, tables, and bar) and some outdoor seating with free street parking. The wait staff is super nice and personable - they gave me recommendations, answered my questions, and gave me space to think about what I wanted. They have a flavorful lunch special which is a great portion for the price. The chicken was cooked perfectly and paired well with the rice, pita, salad, and garlic dip. With tip, I paid about $16, which was very reasonable! I'd definitely come back here for a casual lunch with coworkers or to catch up with a friend I haven't seen in a while. read more

Quality food you can taste! The lunch specials are fantastic, and the service is always attentive and welcoming. We love biking from Ontario to Claremont and make it a point to stop here for lunch every time. It's a favorite spot among our family and friends. I always go for the falafel lunch special paired with their tropical iced tea. Everything is consistently fresh and flavorful. Definitely give it a try, you won't regret it! read more

I took my beloved sister from New York State, raised on a farm, to CafeX2O in Claremont, CA 91711. The food was incredibly delicious and FRESH and she decided to try a sauce which I didn't know about and ordered it because the waiter explained its contents and encouraged her to try it...she loved it!! I have eaten here again and again over a 3 year period, and never been disappointed in the lamb, chicken, beef or vegetarian dishes. The salads are always fresh, crispy lettuce, pickled olives and vegetables, using special Mideast spices to enhance these fresh foods!! The end and best part: it's one of the least expensive for the generous portions which we couldn't finish in the restaurant and needed take home boxes!! read more

Our second time coming here, we decided to get the kebab plate for two and picked the tzatziki and garlic dips to go with. At first glance it doesn't look like a lot but once we started eating, it's a LOT. It's super flavorful, I love the tenderness in the meat. Went to the Arts and Crafts festival and walked past Cafe X2O; decided to give it a try. It was hectic but I got a table right away. I ordered the chicken breast plate with salad, rice pilaf and I got the choice of two sides, spicy hummus and tazicki. The char and marinade on the chicken were delicious the spicy hummus was great, it also came with pita bread. The portions were big and I would definitely eat here again. Not in Claremont. La Verne is within 3 miles and we have hookah there.
