    Amazing dining view

Good food with an amazing view, we had a little bit of everything from the menu. The service was great and very tentative

My bf loved their steak and eggs!

We are in love with the Mousai and have been here four times this year...And each time we are here we choose Bocados for breakfast/ brunch more than any other f the amazing options.... The ViEW, the SERVICE, the Food is amazing. We've tried practically everything on the menu the dozen or so times we have visited and have decided he dry beef and the mimosas are the way to go. The most important part of the experience I think is the service which is extraordinary...they make us feel as if we are old friends the manager Roberto, our server Alan, and the hostesses are very warm and helpful. Never a bad meal at Bocados. They also have a breakfast buffet and are also open for dinner.... We have done both but prefer the break niche and ordering off the menu and sitting outside because of the gorgeous view.

Bocado Steak House at Garza Blanca in PV, is classy, meaty fare with an incomparable view! the steak, tenderloin, well done, was richly flavorful. the clam chowder was a tad salty. while the Caesar salad made in front of your eyes was a sight to see, it was a tad fishy for my liking. the fettuccine Alfredo was satisfying if a tad overly creamy. stellar eats, especially the steak, not all the other dishes compared. overall a classy, tasty place!

The service here is so good. We kept returning here because the food came out in a timely manner and the wait staff and hosts were all very kind. I felt nice to be welcomed again and again each time we returned. The food was good. Of all the breakfast options at Garza Blanca, this had the best selection. The breakfast buffet was also tasty. Loved the chocolate cinnamon chia seed pudding and concha! My favorite item was steak and eggs ordered from the menu. The most beautiful dish I ordered was the croissant. I wasn't at my hungriest that day, so I took it to-go and reheated it in the oven. Still delicious!! Dinner was also really good, one day we received an ammo Boosh that was a berry bruschetta. Yum! At dinner they also served a Caesar salad with dressing made at the table side. When ordering your meats, order them on the rarer side of how you like them and they'll come out perfect.

I can't believe the oxtail soup is the only thing I managed to take a picture of from dinner. We also enjoyed the mussels and I had a ribeye with the side of mushrooms and the Cabernet demiglaze. It was all so good and we left SO FULL. In regards to breakfast, if you can, order off the menu. Don't eat the buffet. More specifically order the specials. While my waffles were good and I loved the pastry basket, the chef specials looked the most appetizing of all the food our group ordered. Obviously the view in this place is also amazing just like the rest of the property. The staff is great also and were so helpful with making sure our child was also taken care of.

    The view from the patio!

I would like to start with the disclaimer that I am only reviewing BREAKFAST. We also came for dinner, but that warrants a much lower review. However, breakfast was fantastic! The view on the patio is absolutely breathtaking. Across multiple days, we were waited on by Arturo, León, and Julian. León was funny, kind, and super fun to talk to when he came over. We joked and laughed together, making the experience memorable and enjoyable. Julian and Arturo were very welcoming, and attentive to our needs without being overbearing. They all remembered us from day to day, and we came to look forward to breakfast just for their company. That said, the food is also delicious! We had huevos rancheros, chilaquiles (which were my absolute favorite) and their oatmeal. We love pan dulces and ordered conchas and other assorted pastries that were the perfect accompaniment to the fresh and delicious coffee. On our last day, we were surprised with the dessert plate below, which was so thoughtful! León, Arturo, and Julian, Will and I hope you all are doing well and enjoying your summer as much as we enjoyed your service! Thanks so much for everything.

    Sunset view

Loved the sunset view and the service. Was lukewarm on the food. For starters, the Sueno was an amazing cocktail. Maybe the best part of the meal. Our starter salad was beautifully presented, but a little light on dressing / unevenly dressed, so it fell a bit flat despite having lovely ingredients. The steak was okay. Nothing special. Definitely don't get the fries as a side dish. They were like grade school cafeteria fries. No bueno. The mushrooms were okay...not super inspiring. The other highlight of the meal was the chocolate dessert they brought because it was our last night there. Delicious. Overall, if you're staying at Mousai, there are much better options than this. And if you're not staying at the hotel and getting this meal as part of an all-inclusive, DEFINITELY skip it. It's waaaaay overpriced.

    We ate dessert every night!

We ate here 3/4 nights during our stay at The Garza Blanca Preserve resort. It did not disappoint the service was spectacular the food was delicious the ambiance everything really the only thing they could improve on is dessert selection. I would loved to see some type of churro dessert with a chocolate sauce or ice cream as well as chocolate covered Strawberries Overall in Mexico I don't think the desserts are sweet enough really this may just be an American preference though. I highly recommend the appetizer tacos some of the best tacos I've ever tasted! The steaks were cooked to perfection and good quality meat. The Cesar salad is prepared table side and has a beautiful presentation. And the views are spectacular! We also went for breakfast and enjoyed the chicken enchiladas the red sauce I recommend. The French toast and chocolate sauce was a big hit for my son.

Maybe it was an off night for the hard working chef. The octopus appetizer was chewier than it should have been. I think it was more due to the prep than the sourcing. My wife's tuna cubes were simple and solid. The contrast of the black sesame made the dish more appealing. We ordered a medium rare center cut rib eye (came out rare) and another cut of meat that was described as part rib eye and part filet (came out (medium rare instead of medium), also not terribly hot. Both meats had the aftertaste of a gas grill. The grilled asparagus was recommend and tasty. The service was excellent and our wine glasses stayed full.

It was super close to where we were staying in Zona Romantica, which made it really convenient. We made a reservation but honestly it wasn't too busy for a Friday night so we probably could have walked in. We sat outside and there was live music which was such a nice touch. I'm not sure if she was part of the restaurant or just set up nearby but she was amazing and made the whole vibe even better. I ordered the filet mignon which came with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes and I ordered a side of their mushrooms that were recommended. Everything was so good. The filet was cooked perfectly, super juicy and full of flavor. The mushrooms were honestly really rich and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and veggies were also great. We had a few glasses of wine with dinner and they were all really good. For dessert, we got the chocolate cake and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was attentive and quick and even though we stayed past closing, we never felt rushed at all. The overall quality of the food and service really impressed me. Just a heads up, this is not a cheap dinner. It came out to ~$530 for four people, but we did have two bottles of wine. That said, it felt fair for the quality and experience.

The concierge at my hotel suggested that, for a quick bite, I walk to a restaurant that he marked on my map. It was only three minutes away. That restaurant was shuttered and closed, despite it being only 8pm on a Saturday. So I went next door and found Chenando's. The prices looked a little steep, but I was hungry and ready just wanted some soup, which was on the appetizer menu. Despite the heat, I love soup and find that soup in Mexico has never let me down. I went in and was seated immediately with a smile. I only brought a little cash with me, because even though this area feels very safe, I was a solo lady with intermediate Spanish, at best, at night, in a new place. This place did not take credit, much like almost every other place in Puerto Vallarta. I asked if they could make the tortilla soup with chicken, since I wanted to get at least a little protein, and the waiter happily obliged. You guys. Holy shit. I come to Mexico at least three times a year, trying out different cities. This might have been the best meal I've had in all of those trips. It was easily the best tortilla soup of my life. The chunks of avocado were so soft and had absorbed the flavor of the soup. They melted like butter in my mouth. THEN there was the bread! I don't even know what it was. Sort of like Hawaiian rolls, but toasted. Freaking awesome. If I wasn't so full from the soup, I would have stuffed all three giant pieces in my face. I could only do one. They asked how it was and I announced that this was the most delicious soup of my life. The two other tables had couples dining who enthusiastically agreed that the food here is next level. One couple from the Netherlands said they come here three times a year. From the Netherlands. To eat here, specifically. Yeah, I could see that. Altogether, my bill was 155 pesos, just under $9 USD. Hell yeah. They even gave me chocolate covered raisins with my bill.
