This place was recommended to us when we asked around for a good steak spot, and it did not disappoint. It was super close to where we were staying in Zona Romantica, which made it really convenient. We made a reservation but honestly it wasn't too busy for a Friday night so we probably could have walked in. We sat outside and there was live music which was such a nice touch. I'm not sure if she was part of the restaurant or just set up nearby but she was amazing and made the whole vibe even better. I ordered the filet mignon which came with grilled veggies and mashed potatoes and I ordered a side of their mushrooms that were recommended. Everything was so good. The filet was cooked perfectly, super juicy and full of flavor. The mushrooms were honestly really rich and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and veggies were also great. We had a few glasses of wine with dinner and they were all really good. For dessert, we got the chocolate cake and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was attentive and quick and even though we stayed past closing, we never felt rushed at all. The overall quality of the food and service really impressed me. Just a heads up, this is not a cheap dinner. It came out to ~$530 for four people, but we did have two bottles of wine. That said, it felt fair for the quality and experience. read more

On our morning walk and decided to eat breakfast here. It is right on the malecon with mostly outdoor seating. The area is covered with vegetation and they have fans so you will remain cool. Our waiter took great care of us throughout the meal. My wife ordered the vegetable omelette with hash browns and beans. I ordered a la carte two eggs, crisp bacon, and hash browns. The hash browns are shredded and perfectly crisp. Nice touch. We both thought our meals were very good. The pico and hot sauce they bring to the table is a nice touch with the meal. read more

We tried this restaurant the last time we were in PV and it was excellent, so, we went again this time. As expected, it was excellent again. We started with coconut shrimp, We then split the ribeye, corn off the cob and sauteed mushrooms. I can still taste those mushrooms today. The service was great and the prices were great. My brother sold a house in PV, and his realtor, Scott, treated us to dinner to celebrate. We arrived shortly before the restaurant opened, and the staff was nice enough to serve us drinks while we waited. The seating area is spacious and comfortable. I ordered the filet mignon with green beans and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious! The steak wasn't as good as the one I had a few nights before at De Cantaro, but it was definitely runner-up. It was tender and flavorful. The green beans were cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes were yummy. I also had a mango margarita, which was pretty good. There were six others in my party, and everyone enjoyed their food. I believe everyone ordered steak. Scott had told us that Serrano's was one of the best restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, and we weren't disappointed. We were the only patrons dining in the restaurant since they'd just opened, so most of the time the staff was standing around the entire time. Thus, they were highly attentive and friendly. Bun was brioche and toasted. Parmesan fries and decided on the flavored waters instead of a cocktail. Just off the beach so you can catch a bit of sunset. Both my wife and I ordered the Urban burger. Wife was not a fan at all, I was a bit on the fence about it. It was a decent size burger, with grilled onions, arugula, cheese, bacon and some kind of sauce. The burger was kind of a weird texture, and almost a meat loaf taste to it. It wasn't bad, just different. Fries were very good, crispy and hot. Chips and salsa were pretty much just mediocre. Price was ok, just like any other higher end burger joint. The view is great but the service and food were horrible. I othered filet minion and my brother had the New York both were dry and tough and his was full of grizzle. We had a party of 10 and asked for separate bills but when it came time to pay we had one confusing bill and they refused to split for us. They charged us for a premium liquor we did not order. When all was said and done I told the manager about my experience and why I was not leaving a tip. While my friends were at the cashier trying to settle the bill the manager never walked over to see if he could help. I would never go there again overpriced food and rotten service. We celebrated our daughter's 42 birthday at Serrano's last night and it was fantastic! The view from the restaurant is amazing.. we could see the whole city and even the nearby fireworks. Our waiter, Emigdio, made the night even more special. He gave us outstanding service but more importantly, he was very hospitable.. and entertaining too. He helped us film the delivery of the birthday cake with its sparkler candle and joined us in the singing. Besides the outstanding service, the food was wonderful too. We started with empanadas and melted cheese appetizers then enjoyed the octopus plate (giant!), flank steak, and catch of the day fish dinners. We all had delicious cocktails to start and shared some wine. It was a perfect meal! We'd highly recommend Serranos to anyone looking for a special place. read more

What was I thinking? After days here In PV, and eating a lot of Mexican food. It was time for a change. After reading some good reviews on this Meat House we decided to check it out. The staff was top notch! Service could not have been better. I ordered the half rack of ribs, and my girlfriend ordered the salmon. Her salmon was cooked well, it was flaky and well seasoned. The potato were un-edible. My ribs were fall off the bone tender, but the sauce was bad. Please understand I'm not that guy! I ate two of the seven ribs and I said no mas! If the sauce was ok I would have eaten them it had a bad taste to them. Like something went wrong. Anyways one really good thing! They brought out a small tray with three small bowls. I wanted a burger and I'm sooooo glad we chose this place. One of the best burgers that I've ever had. Both the burger and the fries had some truffle essence, but not at all overpowering. Just perfect. We also go the mushroom risotto and it definitely delivered on creaminess. The piece de resistance was the Mexican coffee. It was made tableside and tasted like heaven on Earth. I vow to return daily for this delicious treat. Our server Pedro was absolutely amazing. They provide complimentary chips, refried beans, and salsa. The beans were so good, I got an order to go. 10+ years I've come to Puerto Vallarta and every morning we walk by this restaurant but have never been. First let me say that our service was amazing. The waiter has been there forever and loves what he does. He was friendly, quick and made some substitutions to help us. Second, the New York steak was enormous. Perfectly prepared to order. We had a Caesar salad to start and I subbed grilled asparagus that was another perfectly prepared dish. We had an early dinner so waiting wasn't an issue. I've been coming here for many years. This time was my last. The older server seems to have an attitude when you ask him for things he looks like he might be in his 60s. He has gray hair and dark skin. He is very rude. My son ordered the steak And didn't want the salad so I asked for some refried beans on the side. He told me there was some refried beans that come out with the chips that he could eat those. We had already ate most of the beans with the chips. I don't think my son wanted to use two pieces of refried beans with his entrée. There was another young gentleman that brought him a side of new refried beans.. that rubbed me the wrong way since I am a server myself. That is something that I would have never said to the customer. When My Bill came, I was going to leave him 25 American dollars which is equivalent to about 500 Mexican pesos. But since he had upset me, I only left him 15 American dollars.. he had the audacity to come back to me and tell me the tip was not enough!!! I then proceeded to give him another $10 so now he received 25 American dollars for horrible service!! I have never in my life. Had somebody come to me and tell me there's not enough tip here!! Who does that?! This happened almost 2 weeks ago. I just hadn't had time to come and review this restaurant. The food is good, but this server made my experience awful and we will not be returning.
