I've been ordering from Boca Brickell since my visit to Miami in May and we ordered 3 days in a row. Now that we live in Miami we order from here often because we love it so much. We have never visited the establishment in person so this review is only based on delivery. The food is so fresh and really has the authentic Venezuelian taste. The tequenos are juicy, fresh and crispy. We always order the Pabellon Criollo Venezolano which never disappoints, the Chicharron was flavorful and crispy. We love their salads which we usually pair with the slamon. If you are ever craving some comfort food Boca is the place for you. This is one of my first reviews in a while and I have to say Bocas Grill is a great way to make a comeback. If you find yourself in West Brickell, I recommend checking this place out for some great food, in a great atmosphere that's also family friendly. As far as the food goes, there's a little bit of something for everyone. They have plenty of different meat and seafood options as well as a few (likely) vegan friendly salads. If you avoid meat at all costs though, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to you. The portion sizes are also massive, which offsets the slightly higher prices for the area. I only had the Jalea Rice (pictured) and it really filled me up. It was a great fusion of Asian and Latin American cuisine, including fried rice with crispy fresh veggies, fried calamari, white fish, shrimp, pico de gallo, and sweet plantains. It was an amazing combination that on paper seems like it might be too many different flavors mixed together, but actually works really well. I only wish there was a little bit less rice and white fish and more plantains and calamari, but overall it was a delicious sweet, yet not overly so, filling dish. I also had a mojito with extra mint (pictured) and it was so well balanced that it deserved its own paragraph. It was just the right amount of sweet and sour and there was so much mint you could actually taste it unlike in a lesser mojito. I'd say it was a little on the weaker side in terms of alcohol content, but that doesn't that away from the overall flavor. I'd also like to point out how family friendly this place is for a bar and grill. We were here with my wife and daughter and I feel like they really accommodated my daughter. As soon as we were seated our waitress brought out a silly cup with water, crayons, and something to draw on for my girl. The waitstaff in general was very pleasant and knowledgeable and our food came out relatively quickly. We were here on a Wednesday evening and the place wasn't even at half capacity. I'm sure it gets busier on the weekends with a younger crowd, but overall it's both hip and classy while still feeling casual and accommodating to everyone. I highly recommend it! read more

Today I was alone in Miami for lunch. My husband is working so I checked on yelp for a place I could walk to from the hotel I'm staying. Short walk distance from the hotel and I was soon seated at a table of my choice. They have an outdoor seating area at the entrance which would have been my pick but there was a nice storm brewing and I didn't want to get wet! Anyway, I had originally wanted grilled octopus ( one of my favorite foods) which I had read in one of the reviews but they no longer serve that. I settled for a lunch choice with picanha, rice with a fried egg on top, salad, pick de gallo, maduros with cheese and a side choice which I took the soup. I can honestly say this was the best lunch I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, really homemade! The portions were generous, and everything was very tasty. Very well priced too! The ambiance was relaxing with some background lounge music. Pretty restaurant inside and comfortable seating! The service was also very good. I happened to have Andrea serving me and she was also the manager. Very professional and friendly! They also have a small but good selection of wines by the glass which was a need for me since a bottle would have been too much for this one lady here, for lunch. A great experience overall! I recommend anyone to try it! Definitely in my list of Best to Go! P. S. The soup was light and tasted like my grandma's homemade food!! I first tried Bocas Grill when they opened in Doral and it was awesome. Usually when a restaurant decides to open another location it's not always as good as the original. Thankfully that's NOT the case here. Everything we had was delicious and the staff was super friendly. We tried several things, all of which were good. I was in the area and came here to eat with my kiddos. Our waiter Jon was very nice but seemed lost when I asked for a kids menu. Unfortunately for this place they do not have a kids menu nor any activities for kids to do. Often some places have paper, crayons, etc. I'm thinking this specific restaurant did not cater to children. I did see one high chair. I found a menu item that had chicken and beef and also yuca fries so I lucked out and ordered that. When Jon brought me the food item it had sort of a chimichurri sauce on top. For me, it was delicious! For my kids, not so much. I wish he would have told me ahead of time because my kids were hesitant to try the pieces that had the sauce on. I had to do some convincing to get them to even eat the platter. They ate some of the food and I ate what they didn't eat. I knew this would happen so I didn't order a second dish for myself, which by looking at the menu, I would have loved too. The menu looked good, the food was good, well at least what I ate. I had a great time here while celebrating my birthday along with friends. First off, it's conveniently located near Brickell and Coral Gables. They have a $4 valet parking, which is not bad considering the area. Service was very good, they have a friendly staff which is always a plus. We ordered arepitas and tequeños as an appetizer to share, I really could have had a whole plate of these to myself it was so yummy! I was torn between their green plantains and stuffed arepas, but I opted in for the fried green plantains with wok smoked lomo steak and WOW, so glad I did. The plantains were topped with steak, cheese and a variety of sauces. The steak was cooked perfectly and the cheese melted atop was the real kicker. Of course I wanted to finish the meal with one of their massive milkshakes, but there was no space for that. Instead I ordered a chicha to go and my sweet tooth was super satisfied. We have La parrillita and the tequeños for appetizers. I TOTALLY recommend La parrillita. The sauce in it has a smoked type of flavor and you will totally enjoy it. The tequeños go perfect with the green sauce they give you. I came with family so we had a lot of food. My son ordered chicken wings (boring I know). I ordered the pollo saltado. I loved the fact that I got the same sauce I previously mentioned I tasted on La parrillita.
