I arrived at the restaurant to pick up an order I had placed online and was told there was no such order. As I was showing the server the banking transaction and email confirmation on my phone I was approached aggressively by the "manager" who seemed more intent on proving it was an internet problem rather than simply apologizing. They refused to fill the order or give an immediate refund. I was told to wait and call back tomorrow and speak to whomever answered since this "manager" refused to give her name. She was very rude, defensive and condescending in her mannerism as if I was trying to get away with something. I informed her that I had previously placed orders at their restaurant several times but would not return because of her demeanor. I felt "handled" and not "managed". read more

There are casino slots, dance floor and DJ or music box options. I have never had lunch or dinner but tried several appetizers and cocktails. Wings, skins, mozz sticks, fries, all decent. The food took 45 mins for them to prepare and bring out the kitchen. I sat in the cold entry way. The calamari was less than half the container full about 7 -8 pieces! The turkey burger was dry and had a weird taste, shrimp was overcooked, and they were tiny little shrimp, for the price and for the few pieces received, I expected a large shrimp. My Daughter asked for a small cup of seltzer water the manager wanted $4.50 for the water and proceeded to tell us that she running a business and have to charge us for the water and our bill was almost $100.00. She was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN and I suggest if you are African American do not patronize this business as well. Love this place! I went on a Friday and they had a live band that was awesome! The place is spacious and they have plenty of parking, I even heard they have an outdoor smoking area. They have a nice variety of things on the menu and the drinks where pretty good. Our waitress was nice but I feel as if she was overly busy. I would've gave this place 5 stars but I did not like how slow the bar was moving. It took a little time for us to get our first drinks which was nothing but a margarita and a double shot of Julio. With our waitress being pretty busy, instead of waiting for her to come and take our second drink order we tried going to the bar to order but we was turned away and told that we had to place our order through the waitress so we still ended up waiting again for the waitress to finally come back around and for the 2nd drinks to finally come out. I couldn't hear my companion speaking even when yelling. 03/26/21 Companion's pork chop order came with 3 chops. My taste of the first chop was very tender but dry. My taste from the second chop was tender and juicy perfection. Companion enjoyed his French onion soup and fries. Also came with two mini ears of corn. My fried catfish filet dinner came with a - clam chowder soup that was salty but I like it like that. I'd order this again. 3/5 stars - 2 mini ears of sticky corn 1/5 stars - fries looked like fresh cut potatoes but were under cooked. 1/5 stars - one extremely large filleted catfish ordered Cajun and looked like it was gonna be everything but tasted like it came out of a frozen bag that'd possibly been stored too long. The Cajun seasoning was a sprinkled unevenly on top after frying but not while sizzling hot. 1/5 stars The service...blah...until after she started receiving them tips! Then she actually spoke a few words. Once the band started, another couple (whom we knew) arrived at our table but no one showed up to bus the table until about 45-minutes after they were seated. So we sat at the table with left over garbage from dinner while listening to the band. Again...We couldn't converse without yelling and repeating. The server was rude to me from the start and the manager who I reported the issue to told me she would hang up in my face if I mentioned race. She flat out yelled at me at the top of her lungs that I was not allowed to speak about my race. The food took too long to come. The server took too long to take my order. When I tried to order at the bar, thinking she was maybe overwhelmed or busy, she snapped at me. When I asked questions about the menu at which she responded, "Well, ain't that what it says?" When I asked for forks, to eat the cake that had been cut, she stated, "Well, yall gone have to wait and I don't know if I got enough forks for all them people." 15 minutes later, another guest found a fork for him and I. It was too loud to even have a conversation with the people in my party. When it was time to clean up the party decorations, I asked for the server to repeat the instructions. She responded, "I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to her." When I called to speak to a manager about my experience, I was cut off and yelled at. She asked me, "Well, if your service was so bad, why did you wait to report it?" I explained I was very upset about the service and needed time to calm down before I spoke. I kept my composure even though the server was so rude. I then explained, "As a black woman," The manager then said, "Yeah, I'm going to stop you right there because you don't know who you are talking to. We are not going to make this a race thing. Poor service. We ordered online and paid with credit card $20 for a salad. My husband arrives there to pick it up and they asked for his driver's license number and began to write it down. My husband asked her to stop, this is how people identity is stolen. My husband had to go to their cash station and have the charges from out credit card reversed because he wouldn't allow them to copy down his drivers license number on a sheet of paper. We will never go to Bocce's again. We order $50 plus food from Famous Dave's in Tinley and we pay online. When I arrive I give the name the order was placed and my food is given. No idea or credit card requested. We already paid. But in my own neighborhood, even after paying online and showing the credit card and ID, you want to copy my Drivers license number down. I will Not be treated like a criminal over a overpriced $20 Caesar salad! They also made us tip online service. And charged me in cash for online service. I highly do not recommend this place. Honestly its hard to believe how many bad reviews this place has, I went today for the first time and it was nothing but wonderful. Went with a girlfriend from work for the live band,dinner and drinks. (Thursday, getting there about 6pm) The food was fantastic and drinks were delicious though quite more expensive then I was expecting. The staff and customers were all very friendly and pleasant. Only reason im not giving 5 stars is its a tad overpriced and a 15% gratuity is automatically added(even for 1 person) but its snuck in so you wouldnt notice if you dont really pay attention. Even with it being added already,at the bottom of the receipt it STILL has a spot asking how much you want to tip and the suggested amounts. EVEN THO THE TIP IS ADDED ALREADY. We went for dinner in September 2022. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. We ordered beer batter cod dinners and drinks. Our meals came served in styrofoam containers with plastic utensils. Huh? I then asked for a plate and flatware utensils. The waitress denied my request and said that all meals are served this way. The waitress would not provide regular dinner plates. The food was served in carry out containers. We had to go find our own utensils, which we found in the corner on a table. You guessed it...plastic! I have never been so dissatisfied by service in my life. I was here on a Thursday night for a birthday party with a large group. One of the gentlemen in our party had chicken wings that he sent back to the kitchen but they still showed up on his bill. The manager/owner/egomaniac (older white haired man) seemed to already be frazzled by the amount of people in the establishment , as he was running around very frenzied and acting rude to his patrons. He then refused to remove the item from the bill, even though it had not been eaten. AND PROCEEDED TO CALL MATTESON POLICE! He continued to refuse removing the item, until the police got there. He, however, then refused to take any cash for the bill and charged my friends card against his wishes for the FULL AMOUNT on the ticket. handing back the cash as if he was doing US a favor by not having my friend arrested for not paying his bill. He THEN refused to accept my friends signature on the receipt because he said it didn't match the signature on his license. He literally got in a tugging match with me, refusing to return the id until he RESIGNED the already overcharged card receipt. Sir, word of advice, don't incite arguments and abuse false authority, it will get you reported to the better business Bureau in a heartbeat. And you shouldn't host specialty nights that attract a large crowd, if you and your staff have no customer service skills. Needless to say the charges has been disputed with our bank, so no money for you. And I will never be back to support such terrible business practices. read more

No one informs you before you start ordering that there is a limit you must reach in order to use your card, I tired to pay for my drink with my card & the bartender says the limit is $10 to use a card so I order wings to reach the limit then the bartender says my card isn't accepted. I was upset because I literally only ordered the wings so that I can use my card & still end up having to get cash. So I speak with the manager and he is very rude! I wasn't rude at first at all. Then he calls the police because I wanted him to understand there needed to be a sign or something that states you must spend $10 to use a card and that you can't use visa cards unless they have your name on it (I using a card that I received from work that doesn't state my name). It's just unfair to the customers to be informed after already ordering. I recommend not going to this bar at all, management is trash and so are all of the employees. Tonight I went to this place for a birthday. We had a party of 8. I sat down and ordered a round of bottom shelf tequila shots. I asked twice is there were bottoms shelf. I was on a budget and wanted to make sure everyone had a shot so I wanted to do bottom shelf. We got out shots 15 mins later. Which whatever it was a Friday night and kinda busy. Well I got up about 15 mins later to use the bathroom. On the way back I decided I wanted another shot and a pop. I went to the bar to order a pop and shot. Our waitress came up to me and said what do u need. I said I'm just coming up here to get a shot and pop. She said that is not what we do here you need to go back to the table and order because you need to be taxed on them because u have more then 6 people. I said I am ordering just for me not everyone. She then said like I told you u need to go sit back down with your party and I will come to you when I have time to get it order. So I went and sat back down about 2 hours later I got my check, come to find out that she charged me top shelf shots. I visited this restaurant yesterday, Friday, 6/28/2024, after leaving an outside concert that had been raining. The food is overall decent, however they choose to overcharge their patrons. This day the bar had a band, so there was a $5 cover charge at the door. I can deal with that however, the place added a 15% service charge (gratuity) on all of the bills automatically. I always tip and thought this was an insult. To add more outrageous charges they charge their patrons for condiments. I ordered a burger and asked for onions which are normally on any burger. I was charged an additional $2.50! I wanted raw and grilled! I was not aware of the charge until the bill was delivered! $2.50 is a side dish, what a piece of mess! I spoke to the owner who told me it was standard practice, WoW! I will be warning all of my friends and family to pass by this place in a hurry! I won't be giving them any more of my business. Ive been going to Bocces for about 7 years, and it is a decent establishment on the weekdays. This place is good to go to with a few good friends for dinner.... I normally order the buffalo wings and fries, and i admit they make great chicken lol. Sometimes there is a comedy show on Sunday nights, but the audio speakers are terrible. The crowd is so noisy that you cant hear the comedians. I dont go here much on the weekend because i dont like the rough crowd, and the security guards pat the women and men down searching for weapons....I dont like that...darn its just a bar! Its good to go between the hours of 7pm and 10pm on Friday or Saturday. After that time it gets very crowded. Sometime there is a 10 dollar cover charge on the weekend, and the attire is jeans and gym shoes. The men are often ugly and old, but forget them...The chicken is great! read more

All of the vegetables tasted like canned goods (high in sodium), and over cooked. The mushrooms definitely came from a can.
