Let me start off by saying I was genuinely surprised and 100% satisfied with the outcome. I ordered of Uber eats so I didn't eat there. The green smoothie was solid and what you want out of a nice green smoothie. The star of the show was mangu con los tres golpes. I was sad at first for how small the portions looked but I was completely wrong when eating it. The fried cheese and Dominican salami was a perfect combo. The plantain mash was a consistency of creamy mashed potatoes which tied in amazing with the fried egg on top. I would highly recommend this if you chose to eat at this establishment. read more

My girl took me here for my birthday. The food is delicious! The gentleman who runs it was in the kitchen by himself, but he took the time to greet us, offer recommendations, and tell us a bit about the business. He clearly has a passion for what he does and it translates into the quality of the food. I had a chopped cheese, some empanadas, and a peach cobbler smoothie. I'm definitely coming back to explore the menu some more. We decided to eat there, on the picnic tables in the courtyard. There isn't a ton of seating, but we were the only people there. I was randomly in the area and was scrolling through yelp and found this Gem. I ordered two Empanadas, steak and cheese to be specific. Its was by far the best empanadas i have had this year. You can taste the quality and the secret sauce (make sure you let them know when you make your order ) was a great combo. I've tried this place a few times now. It's located in a shared kitchen warehouse (ghost kitchen) called Krowd Kitchen. I've had a chicken sandwich, chopped cheese sandwich, a breakfast sandwich on a bagel, chicken and beef empinadas, drinks - limeade, orange cream, a smoothie.... EVERYTHING I've tried has been excellent! I'm going to continue trying something new each time. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. The hospitality by he owner is top notch as well. A destination worth driving to for a meal even if it's out of the way. Definitely order directly through them and not a 3rd party delivery site. Yo Son! This Bodega literally took me in a Journey back to New York! We had the Chimi delicious toasted bun with beef patty and cabbage. The Tres Golpes was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection just as if we back in Dominican Republic. Both beef and Chicken Empanadas crunchy with fillings dripping in flavor. The Flan is the best flan I've had since I've tried in the West Coast, creamy and delicious. All the sweets have the perfect amount of sugar not so overpowering where you can't taste flavor profiles. All I can say is 10/10!!! Moved here a year ago from NYC and haven't been able to find anything to satisfy the craving or even taste of what I used to get over there. The food from here really brought me back home for a second. Seasoned amazingly, super fresh, and great portions. I tried their empanadas and the filling was in literally every single bite which you can't find anywhere. The tropical smoothie was bomb too and I bet all their other smoothies are as well. Can't wait to try more of their food im assuming it'll be just as good. Overall great experience and everything was packed super neatly. You can tell they pay attention to detail and handle with care which is rarely a thing in other places. They also sent a free flan which was a nice surprise. Ordered on uber and it arrived hot, the smoothie wasn't melted and it was super quick, they're also open till 2 am with amazing food which is a hard find here in LA. I have been searching for a local empanada spot and finally found one! I got the regular beef and chicken empanadas and they were so juicy and full of flavor. I went to go pickup at their location in their ghost kitchen and the man who gave me my order was so nice and attentive. I hope one day they get a brick & mortar location so I can eat right there since I was just smelling the delicious food on the car ride home and was trying to hold back!
