I can't say enough good things about Bodega! Ryan and Jessica are warm, inviting, generous people and it is clear that that is how they run their business. Bodega is a beautiful, thoughtfully planned market. They have everything! Wine, beer, ice cream, coffee, baked goods, take and bakes, salads & dressings, fresh eggs, cheese & charcuterie, gifts, merch, etc! It's a one stop shop for all your needs! Their courtyard is absolutely beautiful and perfect for opening a bottle of wine and having a slow evening. They sell beer and wine by the glass and by the bottle/can. They often have food trucks like Catch & Wheelz. We are regulars at this point!

This is a fantastic addition to the South Front neighborhood. The owners and staff are so welcoming and helpful! This is your one stop shop for having a drink/coffee and picking up some fresh treats (they literally have everything from ice cream to bruschetta). There is plenty of outdoor seating in the back - and even heaters for when it gets cold around here.

This place is a fantastic example of how to take history, character, and craftsmanship and blend…read morethem into a genuinely memorable experience. The building alone is worth the visit. Housed inside a restored 1947 Quonset hut -- those curved steel structures originally designed for WWII -- the space manages to feel both industrial and welcoming at the same time. Inside, the high arched ceiling, natural light, plants, and comfortable leather seating create a relaxed lounge atmosphere that feels intentional rather than trendy. Outside, the patio area with string lights and open-air seating gives you a second completely different vibe, perfect for enjoying North Carolina sunshine. The cocktails absolutely delivered. The Brown Butter Old Fashioned is a standout. Brown butter-washed bourbon adds a subtle nutty richness that rounds off the edges of the whiskey beautifully, while the cinnamon bitters and maple bring warmth without turning the drink into dessert. It's creative but still respects the classic Old Fashioned structure -- which is exactly how a riff on a traditional cocktail should be done. The Limoncello Tonic was bright, refreshing, and crisp -- a perfect counterpoint. House-made limoncello with tonic and citrus notes makes for an easy-drinking, sunny cocktail that feels light but still flavorful. Ideal patio drink. Service and presentation appear polished, and the fact that they distill many of their own spirits in-house adds authenticity you don't always get at cocktail lounges. There's also something admirable about adaptive reuse like this. Taking a mid-century industrial structure and turning it into a modern social space is a reminder that good design doesn't have to erase history -- it can build on it. Overall: Excellent atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted drinks, unique historic setting, and a relaxed but upscale vibe. A place that feels both local and special at the same time. A special shout-out to Abigail, the bar back, who had a fantastic system for handling the crowd. Instead of everyone clustering around the bar trying to figure out where the line started or ended, she encouraged us to grab a seat and brought the drinks out when they were ready. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and organized, and it's the kind of thoughtful service detail that really stands out. Kudos Abigail!

We went with Lynne's concessions which we've seen around town before...burger and a chicken quesadilla both came with fries. Really good! The guys behind the bar were super friendly too. There's corn hole along with a few other games set up and lots of places to sit with umbrellas and shade. Our daughter had a great time running around with all the other kids, which was great that it was enclosed for the most part. Restrooms on site and FREE parking. Support local!

They also had one long bench seating lined up on one side, close to the bench tables. Sitting there made it a little awkward to be in such close proximity to the people on the bench tables. Small Pole table trays were available too if you don't mind standing. There's plenty of open space, so hopefully in the future they can add more seating. It may be a good idea to bring your own seats and side table if you want to do extra work. Four food trucks were lined up on one side: Rude Bwoys, Italian Ice, Gusty Peruano, and another one. There was a short line for Gusty Peruano. The pager they gave us notified us when the food was ready, took less than 15 minutes. Food was great, although expensive. The Smashburger was delicious, but the fries were on the softer side. Causa a la Limeña was good too. We didn't get drinks since there was an extremely long line, but when we initially arrived, there was no line. So if that happens to you, take advantage of that while you can. The DJ was starting to set up right when we were leaving. There were some cornhole boards. Didn't see any bathrooms or porta potties. Gusty Peruano made it worth it to visit, otherwise, not sure if I would be back.

The tap room is great - the behind the scenes view is even better!! On to the food! Flat breads so crisp and flaVorful. The pretzels! Can not stop raving about those pretzels and beer cheese dip!! I arrived a bit early (so what else is new?) and had an opportunity to speak with the owner and hear his plans for expanding his business. The selection of beers was amazing; being a fan of Darth Vader and the dark side, I discovered a Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout that was heavenly; I tried a few others (light and dark), but always came back to this beauty. They have a real nice selection of wines as well in the vault (place was once a bank) and the food was great. Really nice pretzels (reminiscent of some I had in Germany at a beer garden many years ago) with delicious cheese dip. Salsa (not as spicy as I normally like, but quite good) and different kinds of flat bread. All yummy, all which made me thirsty so I had to get more beer (why I used Lyft to get there and get home). Looking forward to a long relationship with this place. Y'all should try it out.

It was great weather this night, so we opted for an outside table that was in total shade. Very comfortable. Our server came by for drink orders. We had no appetizers this visit and went right into entrees. We tried the Port City Burger, the Gnocchi with chicken, cilantro lime shrimp quesadillas and the salmon tacos. Everything was delicious. The only complaint I would have is that the Salmon Tacos was a bit small. The dish is two small tacos with a side of tortilla chips. There is no salsa, no pico de gallo, no slaw. I was actually sorry that I didn't get an appetizer. I was still a little hungry after I finished. We didn't want any of the dessert offered this time. Again, everything was great. Service, food, atmosphere, outside patio. Just my dish was a little less in size. I will keep that in mind next time we visit. I'm not sure something like this would be changed on the menu, but I still wanted to voice my opinion. Still a great place with a great menu and service. If the weather is good, opt for the patio. It is really nice sitting out there.
