My usual dishes here are always delicious & highly recommended!!! Service was great today!! Ambiance is nice & calm as well!! Yummy!!!

Bean Curd with Cedar Sauce

Service: 3.9/5 Food: 3.3/5 Large space! I guess that's what you get for being away from central flushing. They have a cafe of the same name at the front (which i think supplies all the drinks + desserts). Cafe only had a few customers + the restaurant was dead on a friday afternoon. Honestly, I was overwhelmed by the menu options so could only focus on the lunch specials, which covered your standard Chinese-American takeout fare and some unique dishes. Staff was nice, nothing special. They do indeed offer warm water, iykyk. What I Ordered: - Spinach + Corn Soup: corny, lighter in flavor than the chicken - Diced Chicken Corn Soup: saltier, richer in flavor than the spinach - Spring Roll: pretty standard, I waited to eat so it wasn't crispy anymore - General Tso's Chicken: actually has a little spice, crispy - Bean Curd with Cedar Sauce: peppery w celery taste, bean curd isn't crispy - Mango Pudding: more like a solid jelly, not very mango-y, lots of cream on top

Kosher vegetarian Chinese restaurant that serves great dim sum. My vegetarian friend discovered this restaurant thanks to social media. Large space with a garage next door. Cute coffee shop is the front that serves coffee, tea, desserts. Instead of carts of food going around, the food is made fresh to order. The staff was helpful but there were moments when the restaurant was empty and it still took time to get their attention. I really like that the menu has photos for each dish and ordering on the tablet is great. We loved the various dim sum dishes we ordered, except the "roast pig" because it was more bread than protein. There is a garage attached to the building but I don't know the cost or if they validate parking - we were able to find street parking. Other groups arrived after us and mostly ordered from the regular menu instead of dim sum - all their food looked amazing and were large family style portions. Would definitely come back

My cousin took me here. The parking lot was being repair so we park on the street. The restaurant is pretty big. Outside is like a dessert place and inside there tables for dinner. You order on a tablet and than it will come. The staff and service are pretty good. There were foods we order they were out so we had to order another things. The foods came pretty fast and was very delicious. Will definitely come back here again and try new foods.

Blueberry and peach crumb pie

The location is spacious and fresh. They have a parking lot that you can use. You order on a tablet. We ordered several things. The hot and sour soup was not hot or sour. Perhaps if it was hot it would have tasted better, it lacked much flavor. The Jasmin green tea comes in a bag in a French press. Quite different from traditional Chinese restaurants, but tasted decent. The edemame were very soft, but slightly sweet, and delicious. I didn't enjoy the dumplings at all. They lacked any flavor. We ordered the roast "pork." Again this restaurant only serves veggies. So, the roast pork was French bread for the skin and fat, and then there was Seiten or tofu crumbles for the meat. It kinda looked the part of you squinted.. it tasted good, and I will order it again, but it did not taste like pork at all. The mushroom and veggie stir fry was fresh, but lacking in flavor. The best dish was the lomein. It was delicious, probably the best lomein I've had in a very long time; flavorful, not oily, overall very good! Oh, the vegan blueberry peach pie, didn't have any peach flavor, was on the very sweet side, and tasted extremely buttery. I will be back to try other dishes.

Went here with co-workers for dinner. Ordered several dishes and ate family-style. Everything was so delicious, flavorful. All vegetarian dishes. Those who eat meat said the dishes tasted very close to their meat equivalent. For 11 of us including tea drinks and tip $510. Street parking is available. There's a parking lot in the building and the restaurant will validate your ticket but be warned- it's very narrow, tight turns, tight spots...looks unsafe. Definitely recommend the restaurant.

I was brought here by a vegan friend who loves eating here. It was pretty late - about 50 minutes before the restaurant closed but they happily seated us and served us with joy. You can tell they're proud of the food they serve. We ordered on their tablets, and they have quite a large menu. We knew we wanted the BBQ Roast Meat (vegan version of char siu) even before walking in. We also got the Pan-Fried Noodles with Vegetable and the Taro Bowl Delight. Food didn't take too long to come out (probably because we were the only ones dining in). The Pan-Fried Noodles are a childhood favorite of mine and I haven't had it since well before I became vegan a little over 10 years ago. It was delicious and I didn't miss the seafood that normally comes with it. Nice crispy noodles that soak up some of the yummy gravy. The Taro Bowl Delight was fun - we watched as our server cut it up into servable portions for us. The bowl was made of the deep-fried taro you find in Wu Gok (fried taro dumplings) and it was filled with veggies that also included some sauteed taro as well. Delicious. And the BBQ Roast Meat was very close to char siu. The Manhattan Chinatown Bodhi Kosher Restaurant (not sure if they're related?) has vegan char siu that is more fatty and crispy that I slightly enjoy more, but this was still enjoyable. We had a bunch of leftover food we took home since this was a lot of food for two people. I had these as leftovers for three days. Very filling. Will definitely come back and will want to try some of their desserts and dim sum items!

Appetizer boasted a nice assortment of items; the faux crispy pork was a nice facsimile and crunchy. The ersatz roast pork had hints of sweetness. The oysters were juicy and satisfying mushrooms.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants!! The food is so good and they have good quality vegetarian meat. My favorite is the lettuce song and the oolong tea is so rich and flavorful. The workers are really friendly and I love how you can order through an iPad so it's less of a hassle. The ambiance of the store is so calming and it's peaceful most of the time. There's also a cafe in the front which is also so cute. Kudos to this restaurant, absolutely delicious!

Absolutely phenomenal experience through and through. Incredibly elegant decor, very pleasant lounge-y music, and kind and knowledgeable staff who helped us select delicious items to our taste. At the end, we stopped by the bakery section up front for some delicious sweets to-go. Cannot wait to go back!!

Is everything gluten-free?

Can you BYOB since they don't serve alcohol?

Sorry no BYOB

Do we need to make advance arrangements if we are bringing larger groups of 6 or more people?

They are usually not packed. But you can call ahead.

Is there a dim sum menu?

Sorry we don’t make dim sum anymore

Do they have gluten free options? A gluten free menu?

We have to customize your order, it’s better if you call our store at 718-683-9045 for gluten free options

Gluten free options/menu?

Hi T.B. I've never seen gluten free options on their menu.

Is the new Bodhi location open? thanks

Yes it is

Is this still vegetarian food? or just coffee and pastries now?

Has both! Cafe in the front and restaurant in the back

It says opening at this new location 136-20 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11355? Has it officially opened?

Not yet, but within the upcoming one week or Monday 11/9, they are having their soft opening for takes out!

Do they have vegan options?

Yes

Hi, what is the official name for the "shredded pork" appetizer? I can't find that on the menu but few people mentioned in their reviews. TIA!

That’s called veg roast meat

Do they use dairy products?

Only few items contain dairy

Is this place vegan or vegetarian?

Its vegetarian, not vegan, but there are plenty of vegan dishes. Be careful with the Japanese tofu dish, as they use egg tofu for that.

I had the taquitos with chicken. They were very good. The chicken was tender and the meal was very tasty. My friend had the chicken Mole. There were songs sung both in English and in Spanish. There was actually some really good talent and the host / DJ kept the party going. Went in but one of us had a baby and they denied us service! They refused to seat us at the bar which is part of the happy hour. I mean, what baby is drinking at the bar?!!! Incredibly silly and unprofessional. Fine they don't want to seat the group at the bar because of a baby, at least offer the happy hour at the table that we were forced to sit at. No they didn't. We left. This isn't how you treat customers. People go out to eat to relax and have a good time. There are plenty of restaurants nearby with warm ambiance and great food options. This place was not it. I bet the food is probably horrible, hence the happy hour to get people in the door. Bad staff. Bad place. Go somewhere that cares for their customers.

Cuisine: 9 Service: 7…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 9 Overall: 9 Since my favorite Uzbek restaurant Taste of Samarkand closed due to a fire, this restaurant has become my go to for food from that region. There are many other options in the area, but I have always come enjoyed this place, and now I treasure it more than ever before. The decor is a bit loud and gaudy for me personally. I always preferred the interior design of Taste of Samarkand or Art of Grill, but I'm okay with Stix's decor because it's bright and clean. More importantly, I love the food at this place. Every time I come here, it's absolutely fantastic. They shine at grilling skewers, so I'll start with that. You really can't go wrong, but I would always get the lamb, lamb ribs, beef, baby chicken, chicken w/ bones, and sea bass. The lola kebab and the chicken lola kebab are not bad, but definitely better at Art of Grill. For the more adventurous, try the veal sweet bread, veal liver, and lamb fat. The only kebabs I am not a big fan of here are the quail. As for appetizers, you have to get their flavorful Uzbek mantu. However, crispy cheburek and flaky samsa are both excellent too. Herring Garnish is very tasty as well. Moving onto salads, I typically order the Humus and Babaganush for dipping with the Tandoori Bread. Korean Carrot is also a nice starter. If you are fond of soup, then I highly recommend Osh-Potche. Lastly, Asian Pilaf is a nice way to end the meal when dining at an Uzbek restaurant, though I think their version is average. When all is said and done, every meal is always amazing. The cost of the meal is always reasonable. And a good time is always had by all every time.
