How do I put this delicately....... The food is good, the service is TERRIBLE. Annnnddddd, that pretty much sums it up! I wouldn't come here if you have a choice to go elsewhere. My small group and I must have waited an eternity to get a table and from there it was almost like we were serving ourselves. I actually got up at one point and practically walked to the water dispenser to fill myself a pitcher. (SERIOUSLY.) Only reason I didn't was due to one of the managers relieving me of the task. Our waitress took forever to take our order and the only attention we got was (1) when our food was brought to the table and (2) when she finally brought our check. The End. However, my Prime Rib was delicious, and I'm told the Pork Chops, and Fish and Chips were great too. I'm just not sure if going during dinner hours is the best time to eat here. (Maybe you'll get better service when there is NOBODY else eating. Ya know, just to make it easy on them!) read more

New Favorite! Husband had steak and eggs, said the steak was cooked perfect. I ordered ham and eggs over medium my eggs were perfect, no runny whites. Best ham steak I've had! Also the largest, I shared and still took enough for lunch for 2. Service was very prompt, efficient and cheerful its nice to see a restaurant where every employee is hustling to get the job done. To be fair, the staff did a great job accommodating a large group (14) and we we enjoyed celebrating a friend's major achievement at a local event. Shelley, our waitress was friendly, helpful, and took good care of us. The food, unfortunately, was a let-down. My medium rare prime rib was still mooing, so I had to ask for a refire. Two members of our party weren't happy with the quality of the prime rib. The roast turkey was a hit, but the stuffing was a major miss. The lobster tails on the prime rib and lobster tails were reportedly "okay." The baked potatoes were the best part of dinner. We'd go back to Bodine's for the service, but not for the food. There are plenty of other restaurants in Carson City that offer better food for the same price point. read more

Went in with a party of 5, food was good, steak tender and so was prime rib. Ordered a large pizza, dough was chewy but toppings were plentiful. So added a side salad to the pizza. Server said it would be $1.99. You can add the same dinner salad to their $6.99 dinners for only $1.50 though. Anyways when our bill came, we were charged $2.99 for the side salad. Our server got the manager and he said, in a tone that was very condescending, it says right on our menu that a side salad is $2.99. I tried to explain that we had ordered a pizza and that you can add a salad for $1.50 to other meals, our server said $1.99 but NO, he would not reduce it. Our bill was over $50 and hey BODINES.... you just lost 5 customers over a dollar! We will not be back. read more

We are only about 2 miles from Bodines and eat here often. The latest was last Sunday and as always the food was delicious. My wife had the chicken parmesan and I had the taco salad. Prices can't be beat, service consistently good and the food is good. Give Bodines a try. read more

We have passed Bodines Casino and its neon sign proclaiming great food, dozens of times. Finally, we stopped and we were so glad we did. Looking for delicious and affordable, we focused on the $6.99 platters. I had the plentiful and tasty Roasted Turkey meal. My husband chose the pork chops. We were completely satisfied. Add $8 Bombay Sapphire Martinis, great service and a patient hostess and it was a 5 star dining experience that we continue to share with all. read more

Breakfast specials are great! Dinners are hit and miss though... ask the server about the freshest because we got turkey hard, pork funky(couldnt eat it) but had some awesome lasagne soup. Bodines used to be a small restaurant specializing in high quality food, but that's long gone. Since expanding into a large casino, many cost cutting measures have been made. The menu is at best, generic, the food quality poor. I tried the prime rib dinner tonight and while the last time I ate here the beef was melt in your mouth wonderful, the food quality has gone in the commode. I've never had prime rib that was stringy, filled with gristle. At first, I thought I got a dull steak knife, but the first bite said different. It's still in my teeth. Never again will I eat here and never recommend it to anyone else. They have cut the quality of beef to that of flat iron steak. The soup was very salty, the vegetables overcooked. One of our favorite breakfast stops. Their food is tasty, served quickly and priced well. Their wait staff is competent, helpful and friendly. Their menu is very good with lots of choices . We recommend this one for a consistently good breakfast and can only assume lunch and dinner are equally good. read more

By far, the WORST prime rib I have ever had. It looked like the meat had been boiled. It was rubbery and had a very unappetizing flavor. The vegetables were the same texture as that of a frozen bag and chewy. The mashed potatoes were the worst part of the meal; like nothing I've ever tasted before in my life... The only thing they got right was the horseradish, which I find it hard to mess up assuming that it came from a jar. Not recommended for human consumption for sure! read more

Bodines Restaurant is a perfect example of the classic casino dinner/cafe/value oriented restaurant. The menu has a lot of food choices from sandwiches, burgers, wood fired pizza to higher end fare like steak, seafood and pasta; something for everyone. On the value side there is a really nice selection of $5.99 dinners to chose from that are really awesome. My favorite is the chicken parmesan. Well prepared, flavorful, and a good portion. Everything we've had, breakfast, lunch and dinner has been very satisfying. Just to give you an example of the value, we just had dinner for three people, one steak dinner, chicken parmesan and beef stroganoff for $29 before tip. Can't beat that. read more

Absolutely the worst food ever!! We all had the prime rib dinners, from the small to the largest one offered. The prime rib was tough and tasteless. All of the baked potatoes had to be sent back because they were cold. The vegetables were disgusting mush and should have been thrown out hours, or maybe even days, before. The only so-so item was the salad. Pretty bad considering that the reviews we read before going to Bodines, were rating the prime rib dinners as the "best" the reviewers of "Trip Advisor " had ever had. I don't know how we wound up in Carson City, NV, but I was hungry and saw the billboard for a $20 prime rib and lobster tail at Bodine's Casino and Restaurant and decided to give it a try since we were tired and hungry. When I arrived at Bodine's, I honestly didn't think this would go well given that the entire casino is about the size of a large house full of slot machines and the restaurant and bar are tucked into the far corner. The menu looked decent so we went ahead and ordered. We had the $20 prime rib and lobster as well as the chicken parmesan. Both were really good and inexpensive. Don't let the casino and the setting fool you - if this were a standalone restaurant, it would still be a great place to go for dinner. The meals were prepared individually and had a taste of being individually prepared, not mass-produced out of cans and microwaves. Next time we're in Carson City, we will go to Bodine's. read more

My mom and I have come here about 3 times and every time have an excellent experience. Today in particular we were served by Lisa who was very attentive, kind, and overall made our time above average. The food is great- I have no idea how they keep the prices so low. There's many $6.99 options on the menu and portions are awesome. I got the cheeseburger ($6.99) which was delicious and cooked perfectly. It comes with perfectly cooked and well seasoned fries. My mom ordered the HUGE taco and (also only $6.99) which I've had before and we both love it. I didn't catch the gentleman who originally sat us but we didn't have to wait more than 30 seconds before he greeted us with a smile and seated us in a nice booth with a view. He also made a point to stop what he was doing as we were walking out and said bye and thanked us for coming. It's truly the little things that make such a big difference. Clean tables, glasses never being empty. This place is truly a gem. Thank you again Lisa for being a great server. I look forward to our next visit here read more

We eat here about 2 tines a week. Way to often but you can't beat the price and the food. Everyone that works there are super friendly and service is really quick. We take all our company there when they come into town. Prices are great and the food is yummy. Highly recommend! read more

Best value for your money. For only $5.99 you can order a great quick meal from the specials menu: chicken parmigiana, chicken or beef tacos, chicken fried steak, etc. I try something different each time I go there and so far the place has not disappointed me. On Thursdays they have pasta night for an extra dollar. Not bad for a small casino restaurant. read more

They have very good hot wings ( I order mine extra hot!) and the small salad is good with the fresh ground pepper. Good grilled steaks too, the sirlon and New York strip are good portion and quality. read more

A couple of years ago, I remember the food being good. I had a good pork chop tonight, but tasty accompanied by their mustard sauce. The last time I was there was in early January for breakfast. First time for breakfast. I have never poo pooed an omelette, but it tasted like the whole thing was made in 4 states over, the freeze dried. Breakfast is my favorite meal and this was the first time I didn't want to finish my eggs. So food, so so, but good lord, the service, for lack of a better word, sloppy. The server we had just seemed like he'd been doing his job for a couple of days. Yes that could've been the case but just really sloppy. So, we go tonight and hey, it's the same server! So he tells me the soup is clam chowder and that's all they have. The he sees that I don't like that soup, then goes "oh no, we do have loaded potato soup." K, no biggie in forgetting, I'll take that. It was barely luke warm, the ham in it was like rubber. K, strike one for soup. I'm still good. It's Valentine's Day and it's just me and my Son eating at a Casino restaurant. I'm not expecting Wolfgang Puck. I usually ask my Son for a bite of his dish to see if I might want that next time and vice versa. I gave him some of my pork and even my 13 year old said, "Eh". The mustard sauce was key. Not even the applesauce served with it was good. Also some of the blandest mashed potatoes I've ever had. Don't mesh up my taters! I didn't even ask for a bite of his Chicken Parmesan. So, okay, let's take the rest home and maybe tomorrow what we can do with the leftovers will be great. I asked the server for a box and he says, "Ok, but I'm going to bring it to you ok?" I'm wear a tshirt and jeans, at a casino restaurant, not wearing any diamonds and at no point did I ever talk down to him (been in customer service way too long to ever do that), especially when he charged be for a drink I never ordered. I had freakin' water. I politely asked him if he could remove the drink. He came back and proceeded to explain what had happened. Like I was going to have him fired. First, relax, second, you are supposed to check my check before handing it to me. I know it's busy cuz of Love Day and all but this guy in my opinion doesn't fit as a server. On top of it, he didn't say good night, thanks for stopping by, we appreciate your business, nothing. I always leave a tip. Only a few servers in my time have not received one from me but I will tip generously when it is deserved. He got the minimum. I thought it was especially funny that I gave him exact change on coinage and he gave me back $.35 when he broke my $20 bill. Sloppy, just really sloppy. Don't think I'll be returning, who knows but it definitely gets a thumbs down for me. read more

My hubby and I both had the pork chop platter from the $5.99 menu. Yummers! Pork chops were moist and flavorful but not salty. Accompanying veggies were cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were...mashed potatoes. We don't usually get dessert but decided to splurge since our meals were inexpensive. My bread pudding was de-li-cious! Husband's mud pie was massive but the crust was frozen and difficult to cut through. It was drizzled with chocolate syrup instead of the advertised fudge. One caveat. Prices are low but stay away from the NY steak. I just had one and it was very tough. And that's medium rare. I've had sirloin that was more tender. I'd rather pay $30 for a good NY cut than $15 for a tough, chewy one. read more

Paulette is the worst server we've ever seen. We sat down and didn't get any drinks for 15 minutes and that was because a different waiter saw we weren't helped yet. Then Paulette continued to walk by us and pretend not to see us. Literally. We ended up leaving after not being helped after for 30 minutes.
