My fiancé and I caught Masters of the Universe today at 12:10 PM, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. What made it great: The Giant Screen: The laser projection and picture quality are unmatched. Seeing the action on such a massive, sharp screen made the film even better. Premium Recliners: The luxury seating is incredibly spacious with tons of room. The seats recline all the way back, and they feature handy attached trays where we could comfortably set our food and drinks. Excellent Concessions: You can't go wrong with the classic movie combo. Our popcorn was delicious, the Coke was perfectly crisp, and we even walked away with an awesome limited-edition popcorn tin! The theater has a sleek, upscale vibe, and the staff was fast and welcoming. It's a wonderful addition to the downtown area. We will absolutely be back! read more

Worst theater experience I've ever had :( If my sister and I hadn't been wanting to see Wicked For Good so badly we would have walked out. For starters the volume in the theater was weirdly low... admittedly, we did not notify staff to adjust it as we didn't want to miss any parts of the story. But then about 30 min in to the movie our chairs started shaking/vibrating from what we thought was a loud action movie in the theater next door to us. It continued the. entire. movie. Big bummer. It wasn't until we left that we figured out it was from the band playing in the Treefort Music hall which is right below the theater. Trust me, save your money and go somewhere else. Honestly don't see how this place is still in business with that setup. read more

It's not the worst place to watch a movie, and the fact that it's attached to The Warehouse is a definite plus. I'd say they could make it better by combining forces and maybe validating parking, but overall- pleasant experience and a good place to watch a flick. Comfortable seats, overpriced food, and the AC was a little wonky in our theater (thanks to the Sound of Freedom related "glitches"). But we'd watch more movies here. read more

Imagine being in an industry that feels like it's on its last breath and you reopen a theater downtown and you DONT validate parking? I LOVE LOVE LOVE paying $10-15 for a movie ticket, $20 for concessions, and then $6-9 for parking..GREAT VALUE I could drive around drenched in sweat trying to find street parking before movie plays too...sounds fun! The theater itself def has that retro vibe of the old regal...barely anyone working and folks seeming miserable to be there and ready to go home. The new reclining seats are comfortable and the screen was high quality. Men's bathroom had little to no urine on the floor. Urinals had walls which I'm indifferent on but toilets themselves showed minimal residue staining and it didn't smell like feces which was a plus! Pretty cool there's an escalator from the food warehouse up to the theater with signage about no outside food or drink..hope lots of folks sneak in food with those concession prices Honestly I was stoked a new theater was re-opening downtown cuz recliner seats are nice but I hate driving out to meridian/the vibe but after my experience here and the lack of parking validation, I'll continue to go to edwards on overland or if I gotta venture out for a recliner experience, then it's the majestic or the lux..both superior to this. Best new theater I've been in. Comfortable recliners with a row for each row. No way to see anyone else in the theater. Like being at home with a huge screen and Dolby Atmos surround sound. Best part, it was empty on a Saturday afternoon. Don't tell the suburbs how great this place is or they'll be swarming out of their Meridian monster McMansions and ruin it. Then again, by reading the two star reviews it seems we won't have to worry about the suburban drones wrecking the place as they think paying $9 to park their black SUVs is an outrageous inconvenience. I've heard great things about the theater but I wouldn't be able to tell you because I can't get in there. Both times I've been here the elevator has been closed and I'm in a wheelchair. Today was great. Was all geared up and had called ahead.. elevator open this time check that's good. Until we get there and one of them is closed and so we drive around well wheel around lol And finally find the other one... Nobody in the warehouse knew where it was That's kind of weird., but we finally go back and the people with me go upstairs and ask the movie theater about where the backup one is and they tell us that it's open and they tell us where it's at but earlier today it fell down a couple floors with people in it... I was excited to see the newly renovated space. We tried to pre-purchase our tickets online, it took a couple of days due to issues with the website. Eventually we were able to purchase tickets and reserve our seats. The good: The new cushy reclining seats are comfortable and a small food and beverage tray makes it easy to set your concessions down. The theater was clean and well kept, great sound and picture quality. The bad: When we got to the theater all but one of the front doors were locked. No sign to direct you to the unlocked door. They were either short staffed or the staff is new and untrained (or both). It took a good 15 minutes to get a coke and some potato wedges (I was the only person in line). The potato wedges that list for $5.95 are an incredibly small portion, pre-made, and warmed up in a microwave. I felt like I got swindled, even taking into consideration movie concession prices are always bad, this was extra bad, the slow service made it worse. We went on a cold March 26th day. I was wearing three layers of winter clothing, for whatever reason the theater was uncomfortably chilly, I should have brought another layer of clothing. They need to adjust the thermostat for a bit more comfort or warn people to bring a blanket. They do not validate parking. In the heart of downtown Boise. Be prepared to pay for parking or have a strategy for parking and walking or biking to the theater. read more

The popcorn is terrible. Like the cheapest overcooked burnt tons of kernels. Dirty floors very disappointed.

When you advertise that you have movies with "Open Captions" but don't it's quite disappointing. As the typical experience with closed captions "devices" yours are trash also. They don't sit well in the cup holders and it makes the entire experience a mess. Change/update your website. Open Captions are great. Wish you had them! read more

This new movie theater is fantastic! I just went and saw John Wick 4, and the amazing reclining seats with a personal tray attached to it was a great touch! The review before mine made me laugh, some people are just really grumpy and will complain about everything. The theater is new, so yes they have to work out some kinks, but my god a theater up and running in downtown?! YES PLEASE!!! Also- the prices are great. The review by Devin B, is spot on. There are positives to this theater and I love supporting and being downtown, but they need to meet me halfway. When tickets are pre-purchased it benefits the theater, by guaranteeing sales and collecting data and it benefits me to reserve a seat, so win-win. Why the $2.69 per ticket service charge? The theater was great, but neither were the fees nor the $9 to park. I ate at the Warehouse, listened to the music in the "food court" and the experience was enjoyable, but the cost crept into fine dining or professional performance art, which it wasn't nor should it try to be. For the classic casual "dinner and/or drinks and a movie" date, Boho downtown could be perfect, but it is priced for the established. It benefits Boho to have people, especially those over 21, exposed to downtown shops and surrounded by food and beverage, alcoholic and otherwise. There are musicians in the food and drink area, to entice attendees to sit down, relax, have entree or snack and a drink. WHY would you charge a fee for time spent there? Boho wants people hanging out and spending, which is why, at a minimum, they should waive the charge for parking for those who spend money supporting Boho businesses. The fee for pre-purchasing a movie ticket is rude, especially given the state of the movie entertainment industry, but it might be a corporate/chain decision. If the charge is under the purview of Boho, then there is no excuse to "nickle and dime" patrons and undermine a vibrant and successful downtown, the heart of a city. read more
