By far my favorite massage parlor. Every time I have a sports injury, this place fixes my pain so much no matter what masseuse. The price is very very good and the service is excellent. I even prefer this spot to some more $$$ massage parlors I've been to. I used to live closer to this place but I still gladly make this drive for such a great experience. I've been going to a nearby reflexology massage place in HB for many years. They did a good job on my shoulders, back and feet. However, they didn't spend any time on my legs. My legs get tight from working out, martial arts, cycling and golf. I needed a massage place that could focus on my lower back and legs. My neighbor recommended B&S. The price at $55 for one hour was comparable, so I decided to give it a try. There were plusses and minuses to my experience. Plusses: The masseuse spent time on my glutes, hamstrings, calves and achilles tendons. The back of my legs felt good; The price was reasonable; It was quiet mid-day on a Tue. The reflexology place is a zoo; Minuses: The masseuse spent 10-15 min on my scalp. I would have preferred she spent the 10-15 on the front and sides of my legs (quads, IT bands and lower legs); They ask for cash but do not offer a discount; I asked for firm pressure. The pressure was okay, but could have been stronger. I noticed bars above the table. I would have liked if the masseuse walked on my back. All in all a positive experience: 3.5 Stars overall. I'll prolly return, but still look for a place that better suits my needs. read more

If you want the male who works here whom I can't even refer to as a massage therapist considering the lack of skill level and respect. I had to ask him to move on from my butt and that was awk as hell. I have never felt uncomfortable in a massage before and this was not okay. I was never even informed my appointment would be with a male. This guy was jerking me around by the limps and putting his whole body weight on me in the weirdest places. Would go from super hard to super soft and then I would ask him to go a bit harder and then it was like painful. No happy medium. I could not wait for it to end I almost ended it early. I did not get a full 60 minutes. I do want to point out that this place smelled like Asian cuisine, I mean.. strong! I want to say I am kidding but I am not- the guy who saw me was either burping or farting through the service and I was so grossed out.. I came here twice First time was with a female and the location did not smell like food and it also smelled like lavender or some type of herb in my room and the massage therapist was great.. she performed a great massage and was careful to do what she did on one side to the other. Unfortunately I will NOT be back after that last experience. That guy should not be allowed to massage. When it was over he slapped the hot wet rag on my back like a flat piece of paper from what I would imagine was like a foot up - it was all together just a strange experience. I don't think he really has ever had training. Not only did I feel violated but robbed of my time and money. I genuinely feel violated and I will tell every woman I know not to come here. Also.. I used class pass to book this place. And the owner said she prob won't use them next month. I thought to myself well good because I won't be back. What a shame.. It was my first time here and I had massage therapist, Judy. She's very good. She worked on getting my knots out and very professional. While it was a little painful and not a massage that one would fall asleep, it was the best massage I had in years and I've been to many. The place is dark, quiet and plays (a bit loud) spa music. Your massage can be a one star or a five star depending who gives you the massage. I promise you that you will find somebody you love here so don't give up!! I'm giving 5 stars because this place is SUCH a bargain and the massage is awesome. If you are patient you will figure out who you like after going a couple times. My current favorites are jimmy, Nancy, Linda and Jessica. Sometimes my massages are awful... even if it's only $25. Some of the women rub the same spot effortlessly and your skin goes... kind of raw? They have a promotion, if you buy 5 massages you get one free. I think that's the correct amount. Sometimes you have to wait until 5:10-5:15 for your 5:00 appointment lol. Sometimes you can go back 5 min early. Just depends on their schedule that happens before you. Update to my review: I'm changing my review from 4 to 5 stars. I've been going here for years... since my 20s and I'm 34 now. This place got me through college. Such a good stress relief. All therapists are great. The woman working the front desk is kind and very professional. I used to get the reflexology in the big room but the woman suggested I do the private room and honestly it's one of the best massages I've had. My most recent experience was last and wow. I had someone new I didn't get his name but he was able to read my body by just touching it. He found all the tension and rubbed it out. He did an adjustment and cracked my back, wrists, neck. I had major pain in my right shoulder and whatever magic he did it's no longer stiff. They work very hard and keep in mind good tipping! Since I moved back to oc I will definitely be returning bi weekly. Oh I might add I did have my boyfriend come along for his treatment as well. I gave him my usual which is Lee so he could experience it and he was very pleased. He has an injury to his left shoulder and he said the heavy form massage really helped w his stiffness. I love this place so much! I have been coming here for years. The owner, Jennifer, is so nice and accommodating. Lee is my go-to masseuse but I've also had Holly a few times. Both are amazing at what they do! I recommend Lee for firmer massages. I like how he makes sure I am comfortable throughout, making sure I am relaxed and enjoying the experience. I work on my feet all day, serving people at a busy restaurant. It is very nice to be able to come here and have all my stress melted away. I love going to Body & Sole. Jennifer is really nice and seems to remember everyone who walks in. I've worked with Holly and Linda which were both able to offer deep tissue. During the time of COVID employees wear masks. I wore my mask the entire time... so nobody actually had to tell me to wear it. Regardless, While it might seem odd to wear a mask when getting a massage, I highly recommend wearing one out of courtesy and respect for the health of the people making you feel better. Judging from all the good reviews, I'm sure there are some good masseuse at this establishment but I just wanted to warn any future customers about one particular masseuse who gave me the worst massage I've ever had. I've been going to Asian foot massage places for years so I know when someone is doing a really shoddy job. Approximately 95% of my massage was done with a ridiculous amount of oil and this ladies forearm. All she did was slip and slide oil all over my back with her forearm! No actual massage or technique whatsoever. The only actual time she used any kind of pressure was when she put the rough wet towel over my back and shoulder and then proceeded to abrasively chafe my skin with it to get rid of the gallon of oil she had put on me. Then she proceeds to weakly massage my foot over a mound of linen covering my feet?!? Also, she didn't even massage my arms or hands instead she just tugged on my arm. Words cannot describe what a pitiful job this lady did. I'm usually super appreciative of these massage people and the hard work that they do and always show my appreciation with a nice tip but this lady was just so awful :( unfortunately, I didn't get her name but she was a heavy set lady. Hopefully, nobody ends up getting her as their masseuse :/ FYI, my fiancé had the best massage ever by some short Asian man. So, if you feel compelled to give this place a try I would probably ask for him. read more

What made the experience really bad, however, was how badly I was treated...both by the masseuse and more importantly, by the owner when I stopped my massage to go back up front to say something. She made it out to be my fault, even though I specifically requested what I wanted when I walked in. When I asked if they'd be willing to refund even part of my money, they flat out refused. The owner had the audacity to say, "Well, you should have stopped the massage and said something." Um, yes...that's why I'm standing here shirtless & barefoot with my pants rolled up around my knees. So bad that when I mentioned their poor customer service was more likely to get them a bad Yelp review than the poor massage, she responded, "Oh...we don't care about that!" Okay...so here's the negative review...very well earned. And if they keep up this attitude, they're bound to get more. And then maybe you'll go to one of the several other massage places within a short drive. Which they actually told me to do...yep, the owner actually said, "Oh...you should have gone to Divine Massage. They're just up the street." Thank you. Why didn't you tell me that before you took my money for exactly the opposite service you offered me. Avoid the place at all costs. There are lots of better options. read more

Where do I begin.. I used to love coming here years ago with my mom, but this place has changed. The owner treated me like garbage because I accidently missed my appointment, despite me being apologetic, she literally yelled at me over the phone and told me my gift certificate would no longer be redeemable. I came here any way to redeem it later on and received a massage from one of the male masseuse. It was a great massage over all, but he massaged what he said to be a tendon on my head near my ear with such force that it still hurts 2 weeks later since the massage! I've been getting headaches in that region now because of it too and it's tender to the touch. Towards the end of the massage, he cracked my neck without permission.. I don't know his qualifications or whether or not he's also a chiropractor but I went in for a massage, not chiropractic care, I don't think it's right to just start cracking someones neck without their consent. Lastly Id like to say that when I was checking out and giving him a tip, following the guide that they had on the desk for recommended tipping, he had the audacity to shake his head and groan stating that my tip was too little. I couldn't believe it. 20% is too little for a somewhat decent massage besides the fact you injured me? Nice. Incredibly entiteled and unprofessional. If thats a tactic you use to guilt your clients into giving you more, sorry thats not going to get you very far. This place isn't what it used to be, do yourselves a favor and find a different place if you want a relaxing experience and avoid this kind of nonsense on a day your just trying to relax and treat yourself. read more

I went here a while back and never took the time to review the experience until now but it stuck with me. The lady at the front desk was very sweet and polite. Took a private room. It was okay inside, nothing special. Seemed clean. The massage therapist was terrible, though. She didn't seem to know what she was doing. She was kind of loud when she was walking around or grabbing things (which I find super annoying during a massage), she just kept sniffling the whole time. Like she had a bad cold. Gross. There were moments (brace yourself for peak grossness) when it felt like her nose had dripped onto me! It happened a couple times. I told myself it MUST be oil buttt, looking back, I don't think so. She also seemed like she was rushing the massage with no real order to technique or areas of the body. No flow. Just a little of this to a little of that. Idk guys, it was just bad. I really love this massage place because they do deep tissue. Ask for Lee, Jimmy or Ann. I'm sure all the others are good but these three I have been going to for several years. Wear comfortable clothing like 3/4 pants and a tank top. Put your hair up and don't forget to shave your legs and under arms lol! Jennifer is the owner she's such a doll, she will take care of your every need. Oh and get the massage packet that way your massages are $20 each. I wish they had their office closer to my house I would go weekly at that price. P.S. They also gave a doctor and nurse who perform Botox and fillers on Wednesdays and Fridays. Horrible place for a massage. Got a 90 minute massage from Lee for $80. He has no technique. Just hard rubbing in one direction that left me with heavily bruised muscles. My friend had a similar bad massage here at the same time. Not very skilled massage therapists here. I wonder if they are licensed? Complained to manager, Jennifer but that was useless. Just drove by Body And Sole Massage place. Reminded me the small and simple things. Before all this COVID stuff happen. The service they offered me was great in March. I called and made appointment for the following day. Ms Jen call me that following morning and to see if I wanted to keep the same time or adjust because space came available. Which was great for me because my day had changed also. I was able to schedule an earlier time. Now the massage was great. I Came in and they address me by my name and lead me to my room. No language problem, during the massage I remember making a noise because she hit the spot and added the right amount of pressure and she stop and ask if I was alright and if she needed to easy up on the pressure. Just got back from our annual trip to Vegas for WAKApalooza - a kickball tourney attended by 5000+ players, from all over the US. I'm getting old because going to Vegas from Wednesday to Monday hurts so much more. This has been my longest stay for this tourney and I don't know why I do this to myself. After a long drive back today, my best friends and I decided we needed to decompress and get a massage. Caroline said we should go to Body & Sole because it was her go-to place. She made the appointment for the three of us and we met up about an hour later. Location is pretty easy to find, close to the Beach and Garfield intersection. It's located in a somewhat large shopping plaza. There's plenty of parking, so no need to worry. The studio is very clean and it smelled so good when you walk in! Checking in with the receptionist was easy - Caroline had called ahead and told her that we wanted (3) one-hour massages, so she asked us what type - medium for all three of us. We waited a few minutes while they got ready and then they called us in. The massage area is a large room with several tables. We were all clothed and had the tables next to each other. I didn't really know what to expect because I've only had massages at Burke Williams and this massage was completely different from the ones I've gotten there. Not that there was anything wrong with it! My masseuse was awesome! He checked on me to see if it was too much, but it felt great! We were all finished at the same time, so we checked out together. It came out to be $25 for each of us, plus tip. Definitely bring cash to tip because it's easier. I definitely have to come back soon because as I've gotten older and getting more and more injured from all the rec sports I play, I've realized that I'm not young anymore and EVERYTHING HURTS. I definitely feel better after a week long trip to Vegas, including an all day kickball tourney in 90 degree weather in the hot, Vegas heat. read more
