This review is long over due. I have been going to Carmen here for about 3 years. I have only become more impressed over the years. Attention to detail, I never have to order a facial - she simply does what I need. Carmen saved my face. I have struggled with adult acne, not severe but I am vain enough to want perfect skin. She got me off bad products and introduced a simple, effective, cost efficient routine. I do have to say BB is priced very compeative for the service. You can have a $150 facial for around $50-75. Since the resession they have changed there prices to keep there customers. They also email speacials all the time as well. I have not had the other services. My boss has gone there for eye lash extentions and now is the only place she goes. I think what makes the service so good, is the owner is always there greeting her customers and watching. You can tell she takes pride in her business and she values the customer. Highly recommend, Also with the popularity of HCG, I made the mistake of going to Red Mountain Spa. I was surprised with a gift certificate for Body Beautiful from my Hubby for my birthday. I made my appointment for a Tuesday morning. Traffic was light so I got there early. There was plenty of parking on premises. This is a nice day spa. So, no expecting resort style amenities. That's what makes it charming. The front staff was very nice and accommodating. Marlena, the owner, was vacuuming. I had scheduled a massage and chemical peel. The massage room was large, perfect temp and the music was at a soothing level. I started with a deep tissue massage with LaDonna. She was friendly and easy to chat with. She did a wonderful job on getting some of the knots out of me. Might get a longer one next time. Right afterwards I was whisked away by Carmen. She was also very friendly. I got all comfy on the table for my TCA peel. It was my first one ever. My first year here in Phoenix has left my skin dull, uneven in color and slightly plugged pores from all that sunscreen. So, I thought this might be the ticket. She did not rake my skin over the coals so my skin must not be that bad. It was a good experience. I was going to shower after all this, but decided to keep water away from all the treatment on my face for a few hours to let everything settle. My skin looked great the next day. Then it began to peel a little the 3rd to 5th days. Then I got a couple of blemishes on the 5th day, probably from removing the top layers and letting all the bad stuff come to the surface. In all the peel has done everything I was hoping it would with no down time. I would not want to do it too often or I might end up with that overly shiny, glowy, tight look that would signify that I was doing too much to my skin. That's just what works for me. I would.give this place zero stars of it was possible. I was shorted 5 minutes on my massage, but I was probably her last client of the day and Whenever he massage itself was fine. I returned for my facial, which had been confirmed at my previous appointment, and they gave me paperwork for BOTOX. When I informed them that I was there for an anti aging FACIAL they said 'well your appointment is for botox." It's a 45 minute drive for me, and their parking lot is a hazard, so I was pretty irritated, as well o be there expected. Their solution was to offer me a 10 dollar credit and reschedule. During the 45 minute drive home, plus more because there is traffic, I decided my time was worth more than 10 dollars. Their cancelation policy is 24 hours or you get charged for half the service. The audacity to offer me a measly 10 dollars for my time when they would have no problem charging me 50 or more dollars if I had chosen to no show for my appointment really irked me on top of their complete and total dismissal of the fact that it's a long drive for me. When I called, obviously upset about my devalued time, the rude girl at the front desk decided to put me on hold. I told you I wanted to cancel my appointment because you don't respect my time and you further disrespect my time? You need more customer service training. When I requested to know what the confirmation would be that my appointment would be cancelled, since I was not about to be charged for not giving them my business, she HUNG UP ON ME. There are a ton of spas in Phoenix, especially in the Scottsdale/Biltmore area. Go to one of those places. This place is definitely not worth it, no matter how competitive they claim their prices are. No amount of mistreatment is worth their "discount." read more

There's a lot of things that can be better when it comes to this place. First off, there's too much "accessories" in this "spa." We're talking clothes (random), and jewelry that's outdated along with other random items for sale. It's as though someone took useless cheap items from a garage sale for resale. While I can appreciate the spa has amazing estheticians, front desk staff, and nurses for medical treatments, pricing is a bit much on things you can get in Scottsdale, and the pamphlet holds way too many services that are either as outdated as the Medspa front itself or that no one provides. The website needs updating as well, be it that they offer you during treatments w a facial a hand, arm, and neck massage and I'm told by their Esthetician it's at the the discretion of the Esthetician performing the service. It's written on the website, this makes no sense, it's false advertisement. Which seems like what the owner prefers, to have you weaseled in by pricing only to cut out or down the service itself. Same with the medical services and the product itself being given (seems diluted). Save your money, and go someplace worthy of the pricing you're willing to pay and sacrifice for a little self-care. I had Lash Extensions done here for what I think is the best price in the valley $99. For that price I was a little worried about the quality of the lashes but after she was done and I took a look and they looked amazing, they were long and thick and really made my eyes pop. They really do last a long time, I had my done a month ago and they still look good. I mean some did fall out but that's normal and you can't even really tell. So if you want lash extensions but you don't want to pay a crap load of money go to Body Beautiful, you won't be disappointed. read more

I could not recommend this place more. I found them on groupon and went in to have a skin tag removed. The place is clean, organized and huge! The check in process was easy with just some standard paperwork and then I was promptly taken back to the room. I believe my tag was removed by Stephanie who did an amazing job. I was very nervous but she calmed my nerves and removed the tag in about 60 seconds. If it ever comes back I will definitely return. They also have a giant list of services. read more

Well a month ago I went in to removal a few areas of very very small light tattoos something that should really take one session... Mind you my cousin who had the same thing (since we did it the same time) as I but bigger an a lil darker went somewhere else an it took only one time an it was gone! My husband and I were visiting Phoenix and came here for a basic facial. I must say I walked away very disappointed. Sílvia was my esthetician. Long story short-she used a nut based oil on my face and upper body. Now let me first say this-I've had plenty of facials and I've NEVER had a reaction to anything. When I walked in-my face was nice and clear, as I don't have problematic skin (see pics below). I kept feeling tingly but thought that maybe it wasn't a big deal and that if she saw something weird happening with my skin, she would tell me. Upon finishing up and looking in the mirror I immediately could tell something wasn't right. My face had hives and my shoulders and arms had red bumps and hives. I got so itchy and as I walked to the front desk I asked to please find out what she used as I was having an allergic reaction. We found out it was almond oil!? I found that a bit odd. They gave me a wet towel to wipe myself off and pretty much just said sorry. The lady at the front desk said she has reactions all the time since they use concentrated essential oils, so it's really not a big deal. I kind of felt like they were pretty dismissive. Regardless I paid full price for both my husband and I's facial (no discount offered). They did give me a birthday bag with 2 pieces of chocolate, earrings, tea candle and a lip balm. I guess I was supposed to be happy with that. Below are pics of my skin before treatment and after. I decided to try Botox for my 40th birthday so I made an appointment. The front desk was pleasant and I just had to fill out a few papers before my appointment - makes sense as it is a medical spa. After a couple minutes I was taken to the treatment room by Shannon. She was great and walked through what to expect. She explained how Botox works, asked me my goals and came up with a plan for how many units I would need. This was super important to me as I have a budget and was worried that they'd just start doing a treatment and I'd walk out with a bill that's larger than I expected! The injections were mostly painless, every now and then I'd feel a pinching like sensation, but it was mild and brief. It was actually easier and more comfortable than I had thought it would be - but I might have built it up in my head given that Botox is injected! I was told what to do post-treatment and what to expect. I'm happy with my service and will definitely go back for Botox or other treatments! read more

I had an appointment today at 4. There was a lady that came early that had an appointment after me but was friends with the owner. After much whispering they took her back before me and then came out and said she's running 15-20 minutes behind and asked if I still wanted to wait. Then they tried to say they didn't realize I was here which was a complete lie as they were just talking about getting the other lady in early. I immediately left and will NEVER be returning! Well, I did it!! I purchased a gift card for myself last fall, as they had a great offer for a laser hair removal package. I'll be honest, it took me months to finally book my service because I was nervous as heck!! I received my first session for Brazilian Laser Removal yesterday and was extremely pleased with the entire experience. Melody calmed my fears and explained everything as she performed the service. She's extremely knowledgeable in her practice and I will absolutely recommend her to my friends and family!! I dont remember the lady's name who performed it for me, she was very nice. The bad part is that she didnt use the gel in the area that really bothers me.She said the botox should work fine, but it didnt. I got the same treatment in Mexico about 3 years ago and I was very happy with the results, My wrinkles dissapeared for almost 2 years!. then I decided to go to this spa and I think they should listen what their customers want, too. I called yesterday right before closing trying my best to get a dermaplaning treatment. The girl who answered the phone was extremely nice, helpful, and even offered to put me on a pending appointment if somebody cancelled. I had a facial here a while ago and it was one of the worst spa experiences I've ever had. Instead of a table, they had me sit on a chair that laid back. The chair was on a swivel and kept rotating during my service. The service provider (I don't remember her name) told me it was the first facial she had ever given, and must not have been properly trained. At one point during the service, she dropped a glob of product containing glycolic acid in my eye. Needless to say, I will not be back. read more

What a horrific experience! I almost left in tears. Lured in by a Groupon and decent reviews, I arrived on time for my 9AM appointment. Twenty minutes later the receptionist was asking me personal medical questions IN FRONT OF OTHER CLIENTS! When I'm introduced to "the nurse" I'm taken to a room and told to "drop your pants" so she can look at the spider veins I wants treated. No robe, no privacy, no decency...nothing! Got in immediately with Carmen, and as soon as I walked in, she kept talking about how bad my acne was and that I should do something about it. Ok, I get it, she's trying to sell me a chemical peel, facial, whatever, but then she just kept being so annoyingly judgemental. I have been to a lot of salons and had many pedicures along with other services. I went to Body Beautiful for a pedicure and used a gift card. I could have done a better job on my own feet and saved $35. They barely massaged, scrubbed, or treated my feet. I'd say the experience was less than 20 minutes. I was looking forward to a girls day out and it far below mediocre, it was a rip off. My friend was pretty disappointed too. It was honestly the worst pedicure I have ever had. I joined body beautiful on a monthly basis for the discount. I belonged for about 6 months which was 5 months too long. Each time I booked an appointment for a facial or massage I requested the same person. upon my arrival I was always told that the person I booked with went home sick or had a family emergency. They gave another person and each time the massage was terrible. As a business owner if a client requests a certain person, I always give them that person. If for some reason that person is not available I call the client and explain the situation. I ask before hand if it is OK to send a substitute or or I would go and provide the service. Body Beautiful never did this and that is what was irritating. Plus I think that they have one or two good massage therapists and persons who give facials and the rest are just mediocre. I literally never write any review but this company is not organized. I had appointments 3 times first time I went in I got rescheduled due to them not having someone available for the time they told me was available. Mind you they knew I lived in Maricopa,AZ which is very far I confirm with them twice to make sure everything was good. Then I schedule for my moms birthday as a surprise let them know also that is was a surprise and nothing should be under her name. They reschedule me at a later time due to not having anyone available then after rescheduling they rescheduled me again because one lady wasn't available for that day anymore. I decided to cancel the service due to their time and days were not working with my schedule with work and due to living in Maricopa. They decide to send me out a cancellation notice with $100 worth of fees due to the COMPANY not having availability at the times they booked me for not only that because saying I need to pay out of pocket for there workers due my rescheduled appt my appointment got rescheduled due to them calling letting me know no one was available for an appt that day and for the following times. I called and they said they couldn't do nothing regarding the fees and I still needed to pay it and on top of that I was trying to do something nice for my mother and they send her out A BILL with the fees telling her she needs to pay it. No one got a service done. I will never recommend anyone here ever again this is very sad that I even had to write this I was very disappointed with everything. read more

I had my brows waxed and a manicure and while the girls were very friendly and the place clean I did not get my money's worth. My manicure and waxing was several days ago and I am still cleaning my brows and my cuticles are a mess and the nails were not buffed or polished very well. this is one of those places where you don't judge a book by its cover... I had been driving by this place alot and finally decided to go in and get a spa day gift for a friend of mine. when you walk in it is very nice and the people are very friendly. the best part is that the prices are very reasonable. they pride themselves on being the same caliber of the more expensive place (royal palm and Phoenician) but at better prices. everyone i know who has been there loved it and said it is one of the better massages that they have ever had... they also do all sorts of things... botox (if you are into that), waxing, facials, pedicures and manicures and all that cool stuff. you have to check it out if you just need a spa day. read more
