I found Dr. Tong through Instagram and scheduled an appointment. I've had both positive and negative experiences with chiropractors in the past. I really like his approach and that's what drew me to him. I appreciate how he views the BIG picture, not just giving an adjustment. In our first session, he asked me many questions, gave me corrective exercises to do at the gym, and gave one of the best/most intense massages. I like how he does trigger point both with his hands and a Theragun before adjusting. I had never been to a Chiropractor before, my husband suggested I should see him since I was in a car accident a few months ago and was still feeling discomfort in some areas of my body. Doctors' comprehensive knowledge, superb skills, excellent bedside manner blew my mind- I felt immediately confident that I am in his good care/hands! I've been coming to Dr. Damon Tong for a few weeks now after seeing his page on Instagram. I was previously seeing another chiropractor near where I live. Decided to go see Dr. Tong as the chiropractor I was seeing didn't always address my chiropractic needs. My initial expression of Dr. Tong is that he is knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of his clients. I appreciate how kind and funny he is during appointments. I've been dealing with a compressed disc and Dr. Tong explained to me how that impacts me, something my previous chiropractor did not do. While I live a bit far from his practice, I don't mind making the drive to see him given how good he is. My lower back stiffness and pain resolved the next day after my first appointment with him. I have been seeing chiropractors for 11 years with constant back and neck pain. During my initial consultation, Dr. Tong decided to treat my back differently than anyone else. My visits to Body Forward Chiropractic and Dr Tong have been great! I initially came in because I just wanted to give it a shot. I came in with neck and upper back discomfort. Not really painful, but definitely bothersome. First I met Damon, I was already feeling good because, as I told him my story, he had this look on his face like he was actually thinking and investigating. You can see the gears grinding in his head. I like it when doctors actually listen to patients and do an assessment instead of throwing blanket orders and procedures just to get an extra charge or 2. I came out after my first visit and all I could tell him was that "I feel taller". I could lift my head and my neck so much more easily. Like my back doesn't actually have to pull or strain to keep my head up. My posture has been less than impressive due to gaming posture and phone use. But after the first visit and consecutives after that, I've been feeling better and better. I came in with knee pain from a less than proper form weighted squat and he had that same look like he's thinking about my knee. The therapies we did actually help relieve the unsteadiness and swelling the same week! He's also very friendly and professional. The visits have been so relaxed and just easy.
