My sister had raved about Body Fuel and I was excited to check it out! I was coming from the FedEx in the Walmart at BayTowne (did you know there was a FedEx in the Walmart at BayTowne?! Important news, world) and made my plans to pop by for an Acai bowl. Both the space and the food are clean and unfussy. I took my acai bowl to go and WOWOWOW it was just really good and really filling. I found the menu to a bit confusing. It says acai bowl: with strawberries, bananas, etc etc on the board, and then when I went up to the counter, they asked which four toppings I wanted. I ended up doing strawberries, bananas, coconut, and granola, but there was a nearly $2 up-charge for strawberries. I guess it is a seasonal thing? Was not a huge fan of that and think they should update their board if that is the case. Paying $12 for acai and a banana and three cut up strawberries filled me with a bit of existential dread. BUT THEN I ate it and my dread went 90% away! Soooooo good. Like...just delicious. I will pay the $12 and be filled with dread again REALLY soon. They essentially have cornered the acai bowl market (I don't think there's anywhere else to get one in a 10 mile radius) so pay up I shall. I work out at the Planet Fitness in Baytowne Plaza where Body Fuel is also locates and I finally stopped in after lifting today. I wasn't sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by how much variety they have on the menu. They have protein shakes, smoothies, juices, and açaí bowls, and coffee too I think. All come in a bunch of different flavor and ingredient combos and can be made dairy free. I got the Strawberry protein shake and it was so good. The $9 price tag was kind of high, but I loved how good this shake was and would stop in again to treat myself once in a while after a workout. It had strawberry protein, chia seeds, strawberries, and soy milk (plus ice) and was topped with a few Fruit Loops. It tasted just like Fruit Loops and had 32 g of protein with 280 calories. The interior of the shop is really nice and modern. They have several smaller tables to sit at and nice artwork hanging on the walls. The prices are a bit higher than other smoothie places, but the quality is great and I was very satisfied with my entire experience. read more

There are not a lot of places with acai bowls in Rochester, so as soon as I found out that Body Fuel had them, I went as soon as I could! It did not disappoint.  I couldn't find the acai menu online, so I posted some pictures.  It looks like the charges change seasonally.  I'd have liked some strawberries, but they were extra right now.  I got bananas, granola, honey and almonds.  I don't even really like almonds, and it was still good!  I also got the peanut butter for a $1 extra.  It was a good amount of peanut butter, and it gave it some extra flavor. They are not cheap, but it was good and it filled me up.  It looks kind of small, but there's more in it than it looks.  I do wish they were open a little later because I have to rush to get there, but I will definitely be back. read more

Went here with buddy after a hike and tried the Açaí Bowl. It was definitely better than the Açaí item that Costco sells at their food court and they allow you to choose 4 toppings. I recommend something other than the chocolate chips but loved the other toppings. My friend got The Islander which looked good and I'll probably get that one the next time I come. The staff were nice, the atmosphere was perfect, and I loved the distinct hole in the wall charm that the place had. read more

I have a nut allergy, which is common among many, and the açaí bowl is made with almond milk and unable to be made with any other kind of milk. I was really excited to visit Body Fuel. I love smoothies and am always looking for healthy options. I ordered one of the more popular smoothies and it was terrible. The protein powder that they use is disgusting. It tasted fake and chalky. It coated my tongue. Blah.... I spent $10.50 on the smoothie and I threw out 3/4 of it. I could not finish it.
