Ren was SO amazing to me. I told her what I wanted and how I had such a bad experience shopping at another jewelry store and she was so kind and helpful to me. I went in to get jewelry for my conch piercing. The only downside was it is very pricey and they sell bars and ends separately and are a bit misleading about prices. They were also sold out of a lot of items, I wish I could see all the options since I'm going to spend $30 on a piece of jewelry. I'm happy with what I got and am confident that the jewelry won't fall out of my ear. Might be going back to Ren to get a piercing! read more

WORST tattoo/piercing shop ever. They hire horrible employees who are rude and have no idea what they are talking about. All their jewelry is touched by customers and employees and then sold to someone who has no idea. They rarely change out of their jewelry. Every time I go in they have things that have been sitting in the case for YEARS. They had an artist that went by the name of "Skizzy" and just by the fact that they would hire HIM and think he was producing good tattoos....that says a lot about the low quality of this whole shop. I went in looking for a pair of mirrorred plugs for my new job. The woman behind the counter was quick to show me the only pair in my size, which was a little off, and put them in a box. What she DIDNT show me was a closer look at the actual earrings. They had big scratches in the sides that I couldn't buff out, so they already looked worn, and they were pretty expensive in my opinion. I'm sticking to my online website and would rather pay the five bucks for two day shipping and still having my earrings be CHEAPER THAN ONE EARRING at BJP. Bleh. read more

I have NEVER heard something good said about this place. Twice I've purchased jewelry here with the assistance of a counter person. TWICE I've been told that there was no one available to assist me with my jewelry. TWICE I've mangled myself, given up, gone to Pierced Hearts and learned that the jewelry sold to me by the counter person was the wrong size/type, had to REpurchase jewelry of the CORRECT size/type and had it fitted by a qualified piercer. So my friend and I got tattoos from a girl named Lauren that works here a few days ago. I walked into this with an optimist attitude--this is my second tattoo, and the first one that I got was from a man that'd been doing it for 30+ years. When we got to the parlor I was immediately turned off by the girl's attitude toward my friend and I. She talked in a monotone voice and from her word-choice and tone she kind of just made it seem like we were inconveniencing her. I shrugged it off and smiled at her as much as I could because I thought that her attitude wouldn't matter so much as the work that she was going to be putting on my body. She sketched out the tattoo and I thought that it looked nice-- She placed the stencil on my body, and I didn't really like where the placement was at. It was on my collar bone and the end of the tattoo went right under where my bra-strap goes. Now, I've got DDD boobs, and I, a 19 year old girl, didn't take into account how much it hurts when a ZIT gets under there, nonetheless a freaking tattoo that's going to take at least a month to heal, if not longer. This was my first fatal mistake. She told me that it looked nice and that it curved with my body, I (stupidly) didn't really think that far into it--She put me in the chair, inked it up, and then halfassedly cleaned it up before moving on to tattoo my friend. I left the bandage on for about 3 hours while I went to work, and when i got home my entire tattoo was enflamed. I didn't think about how much she DIDN'T clean it (there was still blood on/around the tattoo that had been sitting there for hours. All around the tattoo was bruised red and purple, I showed my mom and she said, "Well the red ink all around the black looks nice," and I said, "The tattoo is only black". It's been about 4 days of cleaning twice a day and putting aftercare on it, and it's only now starting to look yellow around some parts, even though in a couple of parts the bruising is still very evident. I've watched tattoo shows for years and years and even though this place is cheap, I would highly recommend against anybody getting a tattoo here. Piercing are fine, piercings can be removed--I, however, will have to live with this bruised tattoo digging under the weight of my bra-strap for the rest of my life. On top of that, I can tell that in about 5 years there is going to be color differentiation from her not applying the same amount of pressure the entire time. It's cheap. It's not worth it. Have Been Here twice recently. Should've learned my lesson the first time.. Both times staff has misquoted the price then when you get to the register its a "oh I'm sorry, it turns out it's actually X amount more". Or these are $9.99 each and you can pick anything from the top shelf. " and if we like something from a lower shelf? "Oh those range from an additional $1.99-6.99" So we then pick from the top shelf and what do you know at the register suddenly they are $8.99 each! So not only do you not get your pick from the top row, but each end was an additional $8.99 not $1.99-6.99. So suddenly the -$20 we were about prepared to spend is suddenly $50 plus! Misrepresenting your product and prices does not make for happy customers! Service is wack! "Hi did you have any questions or something Ai can Help With"? Awesome experience. I got my eyebrow pierced. It was fast quick and painless. Nice and clean environment. I would defiantly recommend to get you piercings here. They use clean and sanitized tools. Selection is decent for cheap and decent body jewelry, last time I went just wanted to replace a capacitive d ring septum piercing I lost, already knew what I wanted but took 20 minutes to get someone unlock the case and ring me up. Just went back because the ring was too tight and couldn't pull the capacitive bar out, when I got my last one they had reverse pliers they used to stretch the piercing wider, but this time was told I had to come back once the piercer got back, returned and was told I had to buy the pliers.. I wish I would've gone with my sister here after Cicada fucked us over on our appointments. I was in a pissed off mood so I didn't want to bother driving around to other shops. My sister and her boyfriend went on the day we were originally supposed to be tatted at Cicada and they were doing a deal that day but since my sister didn't have money they gave her and her boyfriend a raincheck (I was going to be buying hers for her birthday). This Saturday my sister and her boyfriend went and got their tattoos at a SUPER good price. The work looks very good too, I will probably get something done by them in the future. read more

Went in the other day to get a new piece of jewelry for my tragus after the initial piercing fell out. Bought a small ring and had them put it in for me, no hassle there aside from how small the ball was. I don't blame the piercer for having trouble with that one, that's why I had them do it!! It is a good store for piercing after I compare several piercing stores, especially I experienced the piercing in Clairs. I did my piercing in the Clairs. But it turned out I have difficulty putting back my earball to my lobe.When I came to Clairs, the staff urged me to re-piercing and buy a new package, which I was reluctant to do.However, when I came to BJP, the piercing staff, Jennifer, who has professional experience in piercing, gave me good suggestions on piercing. I'll be writing a review for both the body jewelry and the tattoo. Jewelry first. I have quite a few ear piercings and I used to have my lip pierced. When I first discovered this store, I already knew what I was looking for, so it was easy for me to just say what I need and I got the help I needed. I liked the large selection of jewelry for the fairly low price. At times when I go there and have a question, the staff is usually very friendly and helpful, providing as much information as they can, so overall, it's not a bad store. I found out that this store also does tattoos. Now, when I first thought about it, it sounds really weird and sketchy to have a tattoo parlor in the mall. They probably get plenty of kids walking in wanting to get tattoos or piercings done. Why did I choose to go to this place? I was itching for a tattoo, haha, simply said enough. My artist was Skizzy (I believe that was his name), and he is a really awesome and chill guy. He drew my tattoo on the spot and continually asked for my approval and made changes as needed. He was great to make conversation with, and he even ran out and grabbed me a water bottle before he started tattooing, it was great. Now it is in the mall, so there were some people coming in and watching and taking a look. For me, it's not much of a problem, I don't mind if people watch and it's even more great when people compliment it. But if you're not comfortable with people watching, they're also willing to put up a curtain as well. Overall, the tattooing experience was great for me. Skizzy was very clean (he literally showed me the new needles that he used and joked that if I got anything, it wasn't from there). It was quick, easy, and I came out with a pretty gnarly owl. I think that if you're looking for a quick, fun tattoo to get, then this would be a pretty good place. Would I be going back? I probably will be, Skizzy has to do my diamond on my finger. read more

I spend a lot of money in your store and i used to go in sometimes just to see the girls working there because they were so friendly and helpful and i would end up buying something when i hadn't even planned on it. Had a great experience getting my ears pierced by David whom I think usually works at the Southcenter location. I was very impressed by their set-up of one-time-use needles, autoclaved jewelry, and fun and professional staff. The piercing was quick and felt more like a little pinch. Clean, safe and easy! So I usually go here to get my piercings done because it's the closest place to me which is convenient. The staff is usually friendly when helping pick out jewelry which is nice. However, I went in this week to get a daith done and the piercer ended up piercing my tragus instead. After getting pierced I left without checking because I didn't expect to get the wrong thing pierced. I had been talking to the person at the front desk and she knew what I was getting done and asked to see my piercing before I left. She looked at it, gave me a smirk and told me it looked great. She saw I got the wrong thing pierced and let me walk out of the shop without letting me know! I got a call a minute or two later telling me that the piercer had pierced the wrong thing. I'm just in shock at the fact that he got it wrong. We kept saying daith over and over again and it was just a big mess. I went into this shop last week to check out the variety of plugs that they have. From what I saw on the outside, it appeared to be a decent shop. I was taken by surprise when I was not greeted when entering, instead a discourteous gesture with a roll of the eyes from the what seemed to be 16 year old employee. I ignored that, figuring there was no way that was intentional, I have no idea who this girl is. I then had to say "Excuse me" 4 times until I got the gals attention, who was playing on her phone, to see a pair of plugs I was interested in. She then lollygagged over to me, said nothing.... I asked to see a pair of plugs and she huffed and puffed while grabbing them out of the case. I decided I liked them and would purchase them, even after the irking experience I had just had. I went to check out and noticed that one of the plugs I had just purchased for $35 was missing the O-ring to keep it in place. I politely told the girl, and she came back with the response of "Oh, well you can purchase a new one then." I told her I would not buy a new one, as I just paid for these plugs and it was supposed to come with. She then called her manager, who did not answer, she left a voicemail putting the blame on me saying "This customer claims that we lost the O-ring, but I know I DID NOT do it. So, now she wants one for free." Mind you, I am standing right in front of this girl. She then says "My boss didn't answer, so you can wait for her to call back." That was when the line was crossed. So, I spoke up, told her that it was not my problem and this is their company issue that they can resolve on their own time. She then proceeded to argue with me, ARGUE WITH ME. While there were 3 other customers in the shop, who had left after they saw how remissful she was being. I then politely educated her on professional customer service etiquette... After 15 minutes of attempting to talk some sense into this gal she finally agreed and gave me the O-ring with the snarky remark of "I guess I will pay for this out of my pocket." All in all, this was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any company. I told her I would not be back, I would recommend no one here, and I would write this review because what she had done was unacceptable and immensely unprofessional. What should've taken 5 minutes of my time, with a pleasant experience turned out to be a horrid 25 minute stand off with the employee of the shop. Take it from me...
