My daughter, driving on the highway on the day after a snow, got hit by a rock in the windshield from a car in front of her. It hit right below the rearview mirror and immediately the crack worsened ( it was a much colder day then we had experienced for a while) and it began spreading right in the middle of the sight line on the driver's side. She was pretty worried that the whole windshield was gonna crumble . Which I told her the glass is made to prevent a blowout, but will definitely impair your view pretty badly. She got to work, and went into her office. After calling me and telling me the situation , I looked around for a place that was nearby her work. I discovered Auto Glass masters, which had a bunch of good reviews and also noted that they were used by insurance companies pretty extensively.. I called the number and talked to Monse. She was very polite. I eventually got her the information she needed to give me a quote called my daughter back and told her the info which she agreed to go ahead with. I called Monse back scheduled a same-day appointment and that was it for my part. The place was within walking distance of my daughter's office . She went there and was treated very well. They explained everything and told her they would call her when they were done. They had called her earlier than the agreed upon appointment, saying she could bring in the car early if she wished. Which is what she did. They changed the windshield out, allowed an hour or so for the adhesive to dry and called her back. My daughter received her car in the early afternoon and was able to complete her workday and drive home in complete safety. Thanks, Auto Glass Masters. Definitely recommend the shop, not only for getting the vehicle in and out on the same day, but for the kindness extended to their customers and patience and answering questions and for promptly responding to our family emergency. My husband used them last year and was referred by his car dealer. He had a good experience, so when I needed a replacement windshield a few weeks ago, I called this place. Unfortunately, since my car was a lot newer than my husbands, I had to have the recalibration as well. The glass was actually cheaper than the calibration. Anyway, they had the glass available on the promised day, the office called when the installer was on the way to my house. He was on time and did an efficient job. He even asked if I wanted my city sticker removed. He then said a different guy would be coming in an hour to do the recalibration. It only took around 15-20 minutes, even though the office told me previously it could take a few hours. They came to my house even though I live about 25-30 miles from Westmont. So far I've been happy with the new windshield and my safety features are working, good as new! Thanks. From my first call to my departure with a replaced windshield, I found Auto Glass Masters' personnel to be professional, helpful, caring, candid and meticulous in their work and their explanations. Everything I was told by Auto Glass staff was consistent with what two dealers and my online research told me. Auto Glass Masters is are not a discount service - it is an highest quality service. I am pleased but not at all surprised. Auto Glass Masters is so reliably excellent that it is the ONLY window repair/replacement service recommended by my Honda dealer's body department. This dealer's service department is itself is a renowned, and we have comfortably trusted them for more than 25 years. During the 90 minutes or so I was waiting for our windshield to be replaced, I overheard at least three calls from other dealers with new work orders. No company gets this much business from so many professionals without doing something right. Auto Glass Masters is not perfect. Nobody is. The pertinent question is what does a business do about its mistakes. I witnessed one case. A customer whose car had somehow been damaged needed body work ahd his moon roof repaired. Evidently, after Auto Gass fixed the moon roof, the customer went home and found that the moon roof was not working properly. He brought it in and was given prompt attention. The problem was a failure of the body shop to fix something but Auto Glass showed it to the customer and immediately fixed it at no charge. That couple left very happy. While waiting, I also read the comments explaining the 1 and 2 star ratings (because they alway are more amusing than compliments). I am sure that at least a few of the folk who down-rated Auto Glass Masters had legitimate complaints about the mistakes but from what I read almost all those were corrected and the owners compensated for their trouble. The comments of the few who remained unhappy smacked of chronic anger, a sense of victimization and gleeful complaining. I do not find that sort of whining credible, especially when my personal experience was exactly the opposite. read more

Be careful here - I went in with a small chip on the passenger side of my windshield of my new 2022 Lexus asking if they could do a repair. The guy went out, didn't even get close to the windshield and proclaimed I needed the entire windshield replaced and asked for insurance information and to get started. He said they can't repair anything over the size of a quarter. I said I would think about it. I pulled out a quarter, and the chip was significantly smaller. In my opinion, the guy saw an expensive car with an expensive windshield and wanted the expensive repair, not a simple $100 repair. We went to another local shop where they said they could take care of it with no problem - left with $80 repair that looked great! This shop may do great work - I don't know. But I don't trust anyone who doesn't even get close enough to the problem to even evaluate it properly. read more

I've known the owner Danny since I worked at a few dealerships going back to 1997. His company has always done quality work and there were never any issues. Over the years, I've had 3 windshields on my cars replaced by his company and everything went smoothly. Strangely, when I used them recently, it took them 4 tries to get it right. The first installer was unprofessional and incompetent. I was not there to supervise him, but why should a customer have to? Moldings were installed incorrectly, trim pieces fell off, and the wipers were on wrong. There was black urethane smeared on the hood and the windshield was cleaned with a smeary greasy rag. The company stood behind their work and did everything to make it right. Finally, it was Mark, a very experienced and thorough installer that came out and corrected all of the mistakes from the original installer. He explained everything and thanked me for my business. But it was a frustrating experience and a lot of my time was wasted through the ordeal. read more

A technician came out to my house to change the windshield on my minivan. It turned out he didn't have the right one and planned to come out the next day again. However, after the technician left, and I got in the car to pick up my kids, I noticed that one of the buttons below my rear view mirror was busted. When I called later, the technician denied doing any damage to the mirror. I spoke to the owner who basically told me that since he wasn't present and that it was my word against the technician's, there was nothing he could do. I am very disappointed with the company especially since they were recommended by my car dealer.
