Nice tanning spot! The building itself is not the most updated place on the market but it definitely has the cheapest anywhere in the city and it's clean! I paid $49 for an unlimited month package and I go every other few days. The basic bed itself is a bit old but the bulbs are all brand new so it doesn't matter. They also provide goggles for you if you forget/don't have your own! All the staff I have met so far have been really friendly and helpful which is always a plus. I definitely suggest this place to anyone who wants a quick and cheap tan! read more

It was run down, the tanning packages didn't make any sense, I paid 25.00 for 1 session and the person at the counter said a package cost 99.00 for 4 sessions. So...wow a whole dollar saved. He also told me to leave the fan running on high or the tanning bed would burn out. And, he was wearing a "Let's go Brandon" tshirt. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't refer them. read more

Honestly, this is hands down the best tanning salon in Brooklyn. First of all, compared to all the other tanning salons it is SUPER affordable. If you go to Alaskan Sun you end up spending like over 90$ for a month meanwhile at body tan you pay half the price and you're getting the same thing. The staff is always welcoming their clients and are very nice and polite. During the winter time, when its cold to lay down on the bed, they offer to warm it up for 5 minutes before you go lay in. The tanning salon is in great condition and very clean. The machines are excellent. Love body tan and will always go here to get my skin glowing !! read more

All employees here are so polite and know all the machines and can explain what you need for your tanning goals. Truly happy I found this place as I felt "locked in" to Alaska Sun because it's close by. But after some "yelping" I found this place. Two guys that worth there own Shihtzus and they are very nice when I bring Leona, my own shihtzu with me. She waits outside in the lobby with my husband when I come and they just love her. Body Tan has been a customer of JA Tanning lotions for as long as I can remember and one thing I know for sure, they are a professional outfit. I think the lady above may above may be scaring herself. In the middle of Brooklyn, you would th ink she would feel safer with man running the store. These guys are trained and professional, and why would they jeopardize their job hitting on clients. As far as I know the guys working there have been there for years and if this was a real issue I am sure it would have been taken care of. Every time a new customer comes into a tanning salon it is standard operating procedure to show them into the room and how the bed works. So I dont think that is an issue either and every salon I have ever walked inot has doors like described so the room can breath. They are also positioned downward so you cannot see UP into a room. I dont know about the lock but it sounds like she is not smart enough to figure out how it works or maybe it unlocked when she opened it. Besides what would they see the bed closes down over the custmer. Finally she went through all this, but still wanted a job? Sounds like she is angry that maybe they dont hire psychos. Its people like this who give a bad name to tanning and she sould be ignored! read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place after his place closed. The owner was really nice and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted to purchase in terms of packages. We chose the monthly unlimited package for $49 each; this allows unlimited tanning for the Level 2 bed with no additional charge. If you want to upgrade, you just pay the different. The bed itself was a little outdated but honestly in one session I did get color so I can't complain :) read more

Been tanning here since 1998 since I grew up in the area. They have great machines, great prices (friends tell me other spots are more expensive) The Matrix is my favorite machine despite how hot it gets in there! The bulbs are always fresh and the staff is very helpful. My girlfriend gets the airbrush/spray tan there every week and Mike does an incredible job! read more
