Easy scan, was in and out within 15 minutes. Scheduled online and arrived for my appointment. A little different now because of Covid, you wait outside till tech is ready, before you could wait inside of lobby. They use to go over your results after scan by a specialist, but now because of Covid you can schedule a consultation over the phone. Since I have had a scan before im familiar with read out and results so I skipped that part this time. Low amount of locations and takes forever to get a scan. I can book a scan but have to wait a month to do so. Otherwise, gotta drive 30-40 miles. They do ask you to pay up front but you gotta wait a month before you use it - at least in the LA area. Also, hours of operation are pretty short. So doesn't leave much time to work around your schedule. Will change star rating when it doesn't take forever to schedule a time slot. read more

Found out about this spot through my Crossfit coach. I had originally scheduled a hydrostatic test because that was the method i had used previously back in 2014. I decided to try Dexa because I heard it is more accurate and presents more information to you. Scheduled the appointment for my lunch break. Paid for it online and filled out my intake form online as well. Free parking in the lot. It's in a commercial building area. There is a small sign with an arrow that says BodySpec in the parking lot entry. Got in and was greeted. Somehow, the system didn't have my appointment saved and I wasn't listed. So, if you book it online, make sure you get an appointment confirmation, not just a payment confirmation. Cost $45. They were nice enough to squeeze me in when the next appointment showed up a little late. Thank God! Quick scan and then they go over your results with you after. Probably took about 10 min. They have you lay down and this machine takes scans of you. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Don't take any calcium 24 hours before. The spot is clean and the employees were so sweet. Thank you guys so much for fitting me in despite the mishap. They also do other tests here like VO2 Max and RMR rate. Pretty cool! I wonder how off hydrostatic is compared to the Dexa. Also from my home scale - the body fat % was about 3% off. Would def come again. Wish I would have scanned before my cut! Next time! read more

It's fantastic for what it is. Self-driven dexa scans for body composition analysis. Dexas are the gold standard for bone density as well. It's dirt cheap and just as good as any other dexa. Scans within the medical system are ~150-300, here it's ~30-70 depending on deals. It's awesome. They can only offer such low prices because they offer no official medical advice and see so many people back-to-back, so don't be late. read more

The first experience was excellent, that was 9 months ago. It's been now 2 times that they cancel my appointment within less than a week to my appointment. Which keeps pushing the date I can actually get the scan done months away. I made one more appointment and I hope it doesn't get canceled.
