A true hidden hot spot! Try the breakfast or lunch in the snack bar. Best food around!

A friend and I had discussed venturing somewhere for drinks and Tipsys was what popped in my head. Low and behold it was ladies night even better. I had saw a cotton candy drink and showed it to my friend and that was all the convincing that was needed! It was the perfect chill and relaxing vibe after a long and busy week. I love the glow of the place and the music was good. There was even security on site which is always good. We were fortunate enough to have Valerie the owner behind the counter, during my very first time to Tipsy's she was behind the counter. Most of the drinks for ladies night were $10, there were some really fun ones that were outside of that that are on my list for next time including a ducky in a bathtub, and even having a cocktail in a purse. I enjoyed chatting and commending Valerie for her and her families' creative business ventures. I loved learning about a new business soon to open- the Social Club which will be on Victorian. I love how more nightlife is coming to downtown Sparks to revitalize the area down there. I had been in the area and saw the signage and got super excited. I even learned that Señor Tequila's was a family member's business wow- so cool! I thought the drink- which was a special - Daydreaming which consisted of mango, passionfruit and prosecco. It was a beautifully served drink and tasted amazing. My friend even asked Valerie for some extra cotton candy and she was sweet enough to serve us extra in cups. Totally would have stayed to try more cocktails but my friend wanted to venture. Can't wait to come back to venture the ducky drink and some other cutesy ones.

Any place that has two reviews with five stars get my attention. Can a bar really earn two five…read morestars? Mixer's lies in a somewhat odd island between Clear Acre, US 395/I-580, and McCarran, a rather odd triangle indeed. Formerly the love it or hate it Russo's. Nestled in the strip mall that is accentuated by a gas station and a Port of Subs. There are two pool tables up front and rather long bar. It's a clean place with big LCD TVs adorning the wall above the bar. Draft beers are relatively cheap. There are two PBR taps, count them two. I thought PBR would die, but alas, it lingers, lingers like a locker room smell. They have $5 PB&J's where you get a full 16 ounces of PBR and yes, Jamison. I can't blame these guys. If customers wanted Steele Reserve, you cater to them, you don't judge them. They pay your bills. What earns this place 5 stars I believe is an authentic charm, an unbelievably hot bartender on Saturday nights, and above all, this thing, this Satanic cult game called Squeeze. What is Squeeze? Is it a secretive society of Sauterne-swilling, Strawberry banana smoothie-sucking circle of saturnine succubi? No I wish. It's a rather esoteric inventive provocative game whereby a timer is set, between 30 minutes and an hour, nobody knows. When the buzzer goes off, all the drafts, bottles and well liquors are a dollar or less. But herein lies the fun. If anyone goes to the restroom or leaves, the Squeeze session ends, and all the prices return to normal. It occurs every Friday and Monday nights. I find this rather provocative and conducive of lots of hijinks and incontinence. I'm all in, and I'll be wearing my Attends adult diapers too.

The odd location adds to the charm and speakeasy feel. The owners are extremely friendly and have done an awesome job creating a true Tiki Lounge atmosphere transporting you back to the olden days of Hawaii. Drinks are strong and good and reasonably priced for the atmosphere bonus you are getting. Live music frequently available too. They've thought of everything. Only thing missing is pupus. No food here. But the Indian Restaurant next door will deliver a plate to you. You'll know when Happy Hour starts (4-6) as the lights turn red for a while at the beginning.

The doors open into an pocket sized oasis right here in our own dry AF high-desert air; a dimly lit collection of tropical plants, puffer fish, ukelele music and aloha shirts. Its like a fever dream - the lovechild of Elvis Hawaiian movies and a trippy classic Disneyland ride, punctuated by neon and heavy cigarette smoke. The drink menu is extensive & eccentric. The establishment's proprietor, Dr. Shocker, perpetually clad in floral print and signature straw hat, is a fixture at the corner of the bar. He tells great stories. This is a true Reno hidden gem, and harkens to a simpler era of the classic Tiki bar, strong drinks, and living on island time. Go get drinks, get some samosas from next door...and get an Uber home. You'll need it.

It really does not taste anything like an "old fashioned" but it's very good and my usual go-to. Ambiance is cool. Has a very Edgar Alan Poe vibe mixed with an alchemist/speakeasy. Love the quality of the drinks as they absolutely put effort and time making quality drinks with quality ingredients. It's relatively small inside so I can only imagine it could get packed in there. We had several drinks and every single one was perfection! The bathroom is the cutest and they have the coolest speakeasy door that the employees use to get to the back (not for the customers). My rant..I'm not from the area so I had NO idea what this place was when I walked by. It looked cute so my husband, myself and child walked up the steps and they sat outside while I went to check it out and see if this was a bar/club/ restaurant. I walked inside and instantly got the death glare from an employee. I instantly said omg I take it this place isn't kid friendly.. he rudely said no. I wanted to clarify and confirm even outside ? He said no. I apologized and they left but the vibe and way he said it was definitely off putting. My sister and I decided to stay for a drink while my husband/child went to walk around. Usually I don't give bad costumer service a chance.. but I realllllllly wanted a drink that one of those others customers were drinking. If this place had better costumer service. It would be a 5

We had two very different tastes (vodka and tequila) and she nailed both drinks perfectly. The bar felt clean, welcoming and comfortable even with its edgy vibe. I also loved the tarot cards they provide! I think they may have been intended as coasters (lol) but I kept mine as a souvenir and now use it as my bookmark. It's become one of my favorite little keepsakes. Location and parking: it's on a main strip right on the corner with a small parking lot but there's also accessible street parking in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it and will definitely return anytime I'm in Reno
