This place is cool. For the size of the store they have a great beer selection. The folks in there take care of you in a nice way, they deliver, and they are open late. What more could you want? Every time I go into this store the staff is rude, unfriendly and blatantly racist. Purchase items and they don't offer a receipt. I have to ask for one and they respond with an attitude. Terrible! They never speak or acknowledge you. However they're not like that with people of a different complexion (if you're get what I am saying). This place is a joke. The cashier looked at my ID (mind you I am well over 21) for 2 full minutes running a UV light over it, holding it up to the light, etc. He went as far as to pull out another "example" ID to compare it side by side and claimed "the hologram isn't fully showing up" on mine? I said bruh, you should ask the DMV about it because they're the ones who gave it to me. What a waste of time, never in my life have I had my real DMV-issued ID be denied. Home boy does an awful job at telling a real ID from a fake ID, you probably would have taken a fake ID if you can't tell a real ID is real. How are you a liquor store owner? This place is great and the people who work here are super nice, so I don't know what some of these negative reviews are talking about! Sure, they don't have very unique selections, but Bogie's is my go-to for Friday night wine runs. They didn't carry the cabernet I usually buy, so we tried Plungerhead and it's SO GOOD. Highly recommend. In short, if you're looking for a huge and varying selection of alcohol, this might not be your place. But if you're looking for a neighborhood place that's straightforward, makes you feel like a townie (yes I said it. Now that I've made it to my 30's I fully enjoy the simple things and being a townie. Get off my lawn!), has the basics, and a nice staff then this is your spot. OVERPRICED!! I ordered two different liters of vodka from them, one was Sky, the other Absolut. Sky & Absolut Vodka usually goes for $16-$20 a liter. They tried to charge me $24.99 for Sky and $35.99 for the Absolut I sent the order back and will never do business with them again!! read more

These jagoffs deserve the bad ratings they are getting: 1. I went there in person once to get a few things, and despite the fact that I politely said I didn't need a bag, the woman behind the counter insisted on giving me one. Listen to your customers much? 2. Despite that bad experience, I figured I'd take advantage of the fact that they are wiling to deliver. So I just called them for a delivery and they said they don't deliver to my area, even though I am within two miles of their location. i've been coming here since i first moved to the neighbourhood 13 years ago. it's my go-to spot for liquor because it's close and i adore brian. he always teases me and his mom is ADORABLE, she always makes me laugh! my only gripe is the $5.00 delivery fee, but it doesn't bother me too much because they deliver fast and i just look at the $5.00 delivery fee as my punishment for being a lazy fat ass and not walking to go get it. the 5th star is for carrying peach lambic.. my favourite! and for having a cool delivery guy. read more

They try to please but usually will get something wrong in your order. Reg. Coke vs Diet Coke. I called them and they said they would bring us the "correct" Coca-Cola but I said "no" we will deal with it - we just wanted to let them know for next time...well they were just kinda downright rude and like we were disturbing them. I can either order from them for delivery at their expensive prices or now order from a bunch of new "Delivery Groceries, Liqour & Convenience Stores". I try to be nice but this business is just really a bunch of tired Asians running their kids up the hill to a high end neighborhood for delivery. Came in here once to buy a Blue Moon to bring back to the Susi Restaurant down the street. Came in, looked at their magnitude of beer selection including prices, choose, paid, and left. This place is very typical, not the cleanest, and decently priced. If I had to, I'll come back here to buy a snack or drink. read more

I used to like this place. Now, not so much. They do have a great beer selection (that's what the two stars are for), but they are SO rude. Yesterday I went to reserve a barrel of PBR. My total came to $145. I was a little shocked (yes, it was for the pump, ice and tax, but $145?!) So I told him thank you, but I have to think about this. He asked me what it was for. I said a birthday party. He said, and I quote, "The person must not be very special." To which replied, "It's my boyfriend, who is very special to me. I am just broke". Sorry, but how dare he tell me how to spend $145!! So I left and called Ramirez Liquor. Not only did the person at Ramirez let me reserve my barrel of PBR over the phone (wasn't able to do that at Bogies), but the total for the barrel AND the tapper was $112 (including tax) ! Less than the cost of the barrel ALONE at Bogies ($114). I am not saying don't go there... but shop around first. They are a little expensive and A LOT rude. read more
