Great place for affordable pizza in the 5 towns area of New York. Not only pizza but also Calzones. Try the spinach, onion and cheese.

This isn't pizza, texture/flavor. Service is decent. The ambiance is nothing special.

It was almost lunch time so we decided to order some pizza. We decided, " Hey let's try BOGO, we always see it," so we all agreed on BOGO. My uncle dialed the number when a rude lady with a harsh attitude answered the phone. The lady was so rude that we decided not to order, and she even hung up on us when we were asking everyone what they want. My uncle asked a simple question like, " Do you guys have spicy and regular fries?" and the obnoxious lady retorted, " What kinda question is that?" My uncle was also confused on the price and he asked, " Again how much is it?" and she responded, " I already told you" and then preceded to hang up the phone on us. Skip it. Not worth the aggravation for the price. We pre-ordered a delivery order for a party about a week in advance and made a reminder phone call a day in advance. Night of the party the pizza doesn't show and they're not answering the phone. We eventually had to have someone leve the party to go there only to have to wait in line and order on the spot as if we never made an order to being with. In the end we received eight burned pies an hour and a half late and we picked it up ourselves. read more

I love Bogo! The first time I went in I thought it would be cheap ingredients and unpalatable pizza. What a great surprise to get a very delicious slice, cooked with a crispy crust, delicious sauce and good cheese. Every slice I e tried has been good. I needed a couple of pies for my daughter's birthday. I owned a business for 20 years locally and learned how important customer service is. I was happy to see you were busy. After waiting on line for 15 minutes the server apologized to me explaining that there are no deliveries today. Undaunted, I said no problem, I'll take your number and call in an order later. I called in my order only to be told "I'm sorry sir but we are not taking phone orders". If you're busy then staff appropriately. Obviously, I took my business elsewhere. read more

Please note five stars because they are what they are, and stars are qualified by comments following. This is NOT really a sit-down restaurant, although they do have tables and chairs for about 20 people. It's structured as a take-out establishment, on a busy corner, with very little parking nearby. Call in an order and they'll bring it through the back door to you in your waiting car -- or run in and grab your take-out order. They give two pizzas "for the price of one" -- but because they are kosher, the price is quite high. Two slices of "regular" are $3.50, compared with about $3.00 per slice at competitors, and you get two regular pies for $22, compared with individual pies at neighboring kosher pizza shops for about $18.00 each. The pizza is excellent -- non-Jewish friends claim it virtually measures up to non-kosher pies available at top spots in Brooklyn and Manhattan Sauce is flavorful and fresh, crust is the right thickness, and balance between crisp and chewy, with the only flaw being not-quite yeasty enough, perhaps due to their high-volume not slow rising dough in a retarder. Real (albeit kosher) mozzarella melts nicely, and is well balanced and not overdone so as to overwhelm sauce (unless, unfortunately, you order "extra cheese"). Since I have a very hot (600) home oven and a pizza stone, I usually order "slightly underdone and unsliced" so I can finish it at home, and I get fresh, delicious pizza somewhat better than I can make myself, despite years of practice. We often order the real Margharetta pie, made with fresh mozzarella and basil, which does NOT come "two-for-one", and thus is considerably more expensive, but I think worth it. A tiny caveat would be that usually pies with "toppings" (mushroom, veggie, etc) are reheated slices from a display case and thus suffer slightly from not being totally fresh, although if you order a whole pie you overcome this. Staff is attentive and friendly, and despite crowds at times (especially Saturday night right after Shabbos) they do their best to get you out quickly. In summary, it ain't the "Ritz", but the pizza is terrific! read more

I've been eating here for a few years now but ever since the new owner took over, the quality of the food has changed (in a negative way) and the service has gone down hill. Today I went to get a BOGO slice and an order of spicy fries. Almost 15 minutes later my order was ready. I find that to be a ridiculous amount of time to wait particularly when the place wasn't even busy! It wasn't until 10 mins in that I heard the girl behind the counter tell her colleague (who I think is the owner) that she was now going to cook the fries. That's insane. That should have been done right away after I paid for it. There were no apologies for the long wait and that is not good customer service. The fries tasted good but that's where the good ended. When I opened the pizza box the pizza was for the most part burnt and there was a foul odor coming from it. It was disgusting. I was shocked because the quality of the pizza has been good all the other times I've eaten from here. They should have at least made sure that the pizza they were giving me was fresh and not some left over piece of crap. The pizza even when it is decent does not taste like it used to when the old owner owned this place. It appears that the new owner is being cheap with the ingredients and thus making the pizza not taste so great. What a shame. Due this experience I don't think I'll be eating there anymore. They really need to improve the quality of the pizza and the service. On a side, don't bother ordering your food over the phone for pickup because to your surprise when you go there you'll find out they haven't even started your order. read more

Brand New Pizza Shop! If you didnt already know BOGO Stands for By One Get One! What a deal 2 slices for only 3 Bucks! Each Slice tasted freshly made with a crisp crust and delicious cheese. Menu was a little scarce on items but you will get your usual Pizzeria options like Calzones and fries. As someone who knows the owners of Bogo i really dont recommend eating there. The service is terrible. They put you on hold for hours and never even bother telling you that they wont be taking orders until you call back a few times. The wait for pies is way over 20 minutes and you can clearly hear the boss telling his workers "let the customers wait just do what i say" for Mr Ben Yosef its his wishes over the customers needs and thats why his business is going to fail. He lies to his customers and he lies to people about his pizza. His pies are RARELY fresh and the reason he doesnt take orders for pick up is because it dries out so quickly because the dough and yeast isnt fresh at all. Do me a favor, order a slice of pizza and wait 5 minutes. Itll be completely dried out. i dare you to go somewhere else and do that. Bogo pizza isnt worth the money you save unless you really dont care about terrible customer service and mediocre cheap food. Enjoy saving a buck as you spend more time and patience at a place that doesnt deserve the business. also no one wears gloves or washes their hands. its a nasty store. read more

I am giving 5 stars because of the value. Everything on the menu is competitively priced, plentiful, and clean. The pizza matches up to most non-kosher and they have many varieties. $5 for two regular slices and a large fountain drink. The falafel is great it tastes very fresh and has a lot of falafel. The soups are also very fresh and plentiful. My favorite is the split pea. read more

I think the previous reviews are unfair. Compared with other kosher pizza stores in Cedarhurst, Lawrence and Woodmere the pies are pretty good, and the price significantly lower. Our experience with both picki-up phone orders and walk-in has been positive. I was at bogo pizza on Friday feb 15 and placed an order for delivery for feb 18 at 4:00pm and I never got the pizza i ordered I called back and I told them that I didn't receive my order that I paid for. I tried this place after some guys who ate over at my house where raving about it. service was good- food was fresh and they came over and offered to clear the garbage when we were done, crust had a very crispy bottom but a good soft bite. I tried the bogo slice and the mushroom boureka. Slice was great especially for the BOGO price, however the boureka was amazing, crisp and filled with fresh sauteed mushrooms, not canned garbage. In a word: Terrible. The only reason this place is busy is because they have people fooled into believing they are getting a free slice for each slice they buy. They make up for it by serving you american cheese and ketchup, horrible. To add insult to injury: they are rude. They also tell their customers to park on the side of the restaurant for "curbside pickup". TOTALLY ILLEGAL on that street. I can't say what the pizza tastes like, but I can tell you that they have no clue about customer service. Today I tried to call in an order. The phone was busy, busy, busy. Finally, a woman picked up the phone but refused to take the order, telling me to call back in 10 minutes. I tried. It was busy, busy, busy, busy, then ringing with no one to pick up, then busy, busy. Finally, after I don't know how many tries, a woman picked up the phone, and I finally gave in my order to be ready with more than 45 minutes to spare. She took down my name and phone number. But when my husband went to pick it up at the time, they had nothing ready and no record of the order. They said it would be another 20 minutes until pizza would be ready. I told my husband not to wait. He then went to a different pizza shop that does charge a lot more but will likely stay in business a lot longer than this place because it doesn't lose orders. read more
