Absolutely the most unprofessional person I have ever met! Alan called and told us he had worked for our landlord for over 20 years, when they had never actually met, and he had never worked on the house I live in! Very egotistical, and this contributed to the extremely poor service received. He walked in, was blatantly rude, cursed at me, and walked out. I needed an electrician to do some re-wiring of my kitchen in preparation of converting from electric to gas. Alan Bogosian Electric did some work on my house over 20 years ago so I looked him up on Yelp. I was concerned about the review by Jessica C. so I looked into other reviews she has made and concluded that she lacked some credibility. Alan was perfectly professional in every way. He answered calls in a timely manner, arrived on time for the scheduled work, was careful about protecting my floors while he did the work, cleaned up afterwards and charged me a very fair amount. On Sunday, and with the Holidays upon us, the last thing I needed was an electrical problem that caused half my house to lose electricity, including my kitchen. I called several local electricians hoping they could correct the problem Monday. I received a return call very quickly on Sunday from Alan Bogosian. He was very professional and told me that he would be by my home on Monday to assess the problem. He asked if that was agreeable or would I prefer he come to the house on Sunday evening. I was fine with Monday. Mr. Bogosian arrived on Monday morning and was able to quickly determine what the problem was. He contacted 2 of his employees to join him at my home and the work was completed within a few hours. I was amazed at the prompt response I received especially on a Sunday, and the work was completed less than 24 hours after my call. I would recommend Alan Bogosian Electrical highly. Alan's crew installed a Tesla charger in the garage of my employer and we couldn't be happier with the job. Three of his guys came to the house for the install and did the job in about four or five hours and left the place so clean with no visible cuts in the wall only a small patch on the highest part of the ceiling in the basement storage room that needs to be painted over. I couldn't believe how great a job they did. And the charger looks so cool in the garage and it is like having your own private fuel station. Alan himself, who is a master electrician, came to the house to do the estimate and he knew exactly how he would get from the electrical room to the garage . And although I knew nothing about how the house is wired, he spoke in a way that I completely understood him and I felt confident that he knew what he was doing and wouldn't have to drill anywhere that would make a mess of any of the rooms in the house that people use. And My feeling about him was right- it was a perfect job. I think that anyone in New England needing a Tesla charger should use Alan Bogosian Electric. There is another company in our area who supposedly installs them. If you don't want to waste your time- skip that company ( so unmemorrable that I can't recall their name.) We got a quote from them too. They sent a salesman over to look at the job- not an electrician. It seemed really sketchy. And when the estimate came in from them( with no details or material costs) it was more than double the price of Alan's! So like I said if you don't have time to waste- just go to Alan. Alan and his crew are excellent. We had several items, 3 large lights to install, some rewriting, HDMI cable, outlets to be moved, etc for our great room and kitchen redesign. From the first contact Alan was responsive, friendly and professional. He gave us a very fair price for the work to be done. His guys John and Alex were fantastic. They arrive promptly, were efficient, courteous, and responsive to my input and concerns. I would recommend Alan's team to anyone needing electrical work for big or small jobs. They conducted a very thorough inspection, provided an accurate estimate and completed the work promptly, neatly and with only minimal damage to our horsehair plaster walls. Alan did hero's work for us... on a night when our electrical service was deemed unsafe as a potential fire hazard he set up an emergency/temporary electrical service same-night - no mean feet getting the meter box off - his work got us through an important night and then his crew came back and did a clean, excellent job installing the permanent service. I am very satisfied with the work provided, which was installing a 240V external outlet (NEMA 14-50) for my new Tesla. Alan came and did the initial estimate and 2 younger electricians did the work. He was straightforward and to the point and price was fair. The visual impact for the house is minimal and there is a nice covering over the outlet to protect from the elements. The run of the line inside in the house, about 30'feet, was in a finished basement with a drop ceiling, and the panels were returned to position and everything left intact. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because he is a little loose on communication and timeliness, but acceptable. I recommend him without hesitation. read more

i recently had Alan Bogosian Electric install a charging station for a Tesla at my home. This was a job that was both technically and physically complex, since it involved snaking wires through several rooms and the entire length of the house from the charging port to the electrical box. Alan was extremely courteous and helpful when meeting with my wife and I and outlining this procedure. He had some great ideas to minimize disruption to the existing structures. He and his employees came at the time and day they said they would, and were so clean you wouldn't know they were there when they left! I would recommend them highly and would not hesitate to have them back at my house for any electrical service. Although I have used Yelp many times to research services before, I have never been motivated to write a review. That indicates how pleased I was with both the service and demeanor of Alan and his staff. Great Job! read more
