As soon as I pulled up, a young man came to my window and asked if I in came for emissions. He said it would be $20 in cash, and to give him five minutes. I handed him the cash and my keys. He immediately drove the car to the garage. I waited outside for around five minutes. Then he returned with a report that said "pass". I was good to go. On my way home, I noticed my check engine light was on, it was not on when I arrived at the shop. However, after a short drive down the road it went away on its own. I don't know much about cars, but there was something a little stiff with my steering, and I thought maybe the power steering or some belt was going. Took it into East Setauket Auto and asked them to take a look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They could've told me numerous things and hit me with some multi hundred dollar charges, but instead they looked at it and honestly told me nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done so I picked my car up no charge.
