VERY RUDE! I was told the machine for emissions was down and it will be up and running in 45mins. I come back in a Hour and the person behind the desk was very rude! And told me "Oh well it's still down maybe another 2-3 hours I didn't tell you to wait and come back". Never coming back!!! read more

The parking lot is very small for this Emission testing facility in New Haven. The staff are very congenial and kind. Their customer service is prompt and place customer as a first preference. I went with my friend for getting her car emission tested on May 29, 2009. Their patience, politeness speaks for it all. I recommend them to everyone. read more

I took my car here for a smog check. The receptionist was pleasant and they took my car back relatively quickly. The guy came to give me my smog paperwork and let me know it DIDN'T pass...not because of failing the actual emissions part (he never told me that), but solely because of a diagnostic code. That didn't seem right to me as I'd just picked it up from some maintenance work at the BMW dealership. He told me in a really stern, almost threatening kind of way, "then find another dealership" and then that he's on the list of mechanics that can fix the issue. He literally laughed at me as though he gets no greater kick than telling people their car didn't pass. Anyway, I told him he was rude and left and drove straight to the dealership. I called on the way and told them what happened. They had me go to a smog place down the street from them and....it passed! The dealership checked the diagnostic code the rude smog guy had said it wasn't passing because of and not only was it fine, the secondary air pump (what the code was for) had been replaced just a few months before and was working great. I can't know for sure if the rude guy was trying to drum up some business by saying my car failed, but even so, his attitude was disgusting and I'll never go back for a smog or anything else. read more

Went here for emissions testing this morning. The lady was nice enough, service was very quick, and my car passed. What more can you want?

Came here to get a vehicle inspection report for out-of-state registration transfer. They only take cash ($20) for this particular service. Very quick. I asked if there was time for me to pop over to the grocery store a block away, and the guy told me not to bother. I was skeptical because I'm the type of person who would make that trip even with only 20-30 minutes. However, after I sat down and took out something to read, I looked up to where my car was, but they had already taken it back. The entire thing took all of 10 minutes. Afterwards, the guy pointed out the VIN and emission test results on the print out, then gave me directions to the DMV as well. read more
