Top: Roasted pork with white and red cabbage Bottom: pork beer goulash

Came here for dinner our first night in Prague because it was near our hotel. The waiter was very patient with us as we decided what to order, we really appreciated that. This is what we ended up getting to share: Top: Roasted pork with white and red cabbage, bread and potato dumplings, cranberries Bottom: pork beer goulash with bread and potato dumplings Personally I preferred the roasted pork - it was so much more tender and the cabbage was tangy and flavorful. The potato dumplings were so unique to me and tasted great paired with the items in both dishes! The pork beer was tasty too, along with the goulash sauce, but the meat was more tough. The ambiance was nice, there was a live guitarist playing tunes there for a while during our late dinner. Overall a great first meal in Prague!

Awesome staff and great food we're loving are experiences here! They went out of their way to create some vegetarian dishes for us,

I got the rabbit with the cream sauce and it was delicious and very filling. My father got the pork schnitzel. Although we ordered the veal the pork was still good. The food came quickly which I was surprised by and pleased. Everyone was friendly and helpful. There was also live music of two guys playing guitar which was so nice and made it such a pleasant evening. I would come back. I have zero complaints which I'll be honest, is rare.

Alright guys.. This place is hands down THE BEST PLACE we have tried on both of our visits in Prague. Such delicious food and friendly service. Let's say not all places have friendly service here. And let's talk about the AMAZING food!! Try the most delish Caesar salad, the lamb shank, and the flank steak. If my stomach had more room, I'd eat more! Hahahaha okay.. So really just come and eat here. Promise you will love it. And if you don't, that's your problem. Hehe.. Enjoy!

If you are looking for a very lively place that seats about thirteen hundred guests per day and has twelve tanks of beer, and the beer hall vibe then this spot is most certainly for you. Close to the Old Town square it is not at all touristy, the service is good and the prices are very fair for what you get. K ordered the Goulash, and I had the Chicken Schnitzel along with a beetroot salad to share. The food was plentiful and very good, especially the goulash gravy which was a deep colour that had amazing flavour. The schnitzel was not as big as the plate, but I couldn't finish it. K had a glass of wine and I a beer for about $64 CDN, which is good in Prague. Our only quibble was that the beetroot salad turned into a cabbage salad with horseradish. It was also good, but not what we ordered. We would most certainly come back and endure the half hour wait to experience and enjoy what is a somewhat unique European offering.

I was about to order a glass of wine when I saw the Pilsner Urquell in the three styles. Although the menu did not have the official name, I opted for The Cut (aka Šnyt), which is more foam than beer. For dinner, I went with the Veal & Cheese Rissole. The breading provided plenty of flavor to the veal & pork combo. The mashed potato had a very creamy texture. Unfortunately, the cucumber salad was the least favorite of the three. The shredded cucumber was akin to sauerkraut being drowned in water. I regretfully passed on the dessert. From my vantage point, I could not see anyone ordering dessert. Even more regrettable, before I left, I discovered the restroom was not well cleaned.

Having had just arrived in Prague earlier that day and having cycled 100+ kilometers, I was quite famished when I arrived. I hadn't made a reservation but being a singleton at an early evening hour, the staff found me a table quickly. I started by ordering an alcohol-free beer and then I perused the menu. Marek, the waiter, soon came to my aide and helped me pick out a hearty portion: dumplings, of course! For dessert, I also had another set of dumplings and I loved both dishes.
