My wife and I swung into Bojangles for a quick bite, and honestly, it hit the spot in that simple, no-frills, "this is exactly what I wanted" kind of way. We split the 5-piece chicken tender combo -- the number 11 -- which comes with fries, a drink, and any extra fixin' you want to tack on. We kept it classic: fries, a drink, and added coleslaw because... why not? The chicken was the star of the whole meal. Crispy, hot, and surprisingly tender -- one of those moments where you take the first bite and just nod like, yep, they nailed it. Today we stopped for lunch. We shared a 5 piece tender plate with fries, a Biscuit and added a cole slaw. The cashier was friendly and the food came out hot and quick. The tenders were juicy and nice sized. We got the peach and honey pepper dipping sauce. It was spicy and sweet but not too hot. Fries were good but way too much salt. The cole slaw was really good. The Biscuit was warm and soft. This is my second time here and I would come back. The restaurant was clean overall although the table next to us needed wiped off. Much better than I expected. The reviews for this place were abysmal early on. They seem to be trending upward recently. I had some time and was nearby, so I stopped in. I've never been to Bojangles before. For a first time experience, this was great. Pretty limited menu, basically sandwiches or tenders. I got the four piece tenders. They were big, meaty, juicy, crispy on the outside tenders. A little bit of seasoning inside. Not the best ever, but pretty darn good. The sauces were a little disappointing. The honey mustard is nuclear yellow, but not as flavorful as you might expect from that. Very mild, just OK flavor. The Bo's sauce, I don't know, reminds me of a salad dressing? Creamy Italian? It's OK, surprisingly it doesn't really go with the tenders that well. You get a side, and I just went with the fries. They are seasoned, just right for me. Crispy and good. Everybody said try the sweet biscuits, so I did. They are very big, with lots of blueberries, and drizzled with a white frosting. Good, not as amazing as people made them sound. But a nice dessert. Two was more than enough for me. Also, you get a biscuit with your combo meal. Oh, and I had the sweet tea, which was very sweet and pretty flavorful. Again, not the best ever, but pretty good. Service was great. The place is bright and clean and big. Plenty of parking. One thing: my GPS would've sent me across the street into a business park. So I've come to this location 3 times now in last year with my travels to and from Indiana. Today we went inside and ate as a family. Food was all very hot and freshly cooked to order. Fries seasoned great and enjoyed the special cherry soda they offered. Service was friendly at cash register. Ambiance was cute and restaurant was clean with no issue finding a clean table. We were finally able to stop by Bo Jangles! We live right down the road and the line is INSANE every time we drive by. Read on Facebook it was taking about an hour and a half to get through the line at some points. Wanted to try it but not that bad lol We stopped in for the breakfast. Love that they serve breakfast til 2pm. Awesome. The main attraction is the biscuits guys. Holy crap. They are flaky and buttery and amazing. The chicken biscuit breakfast sandwich was really good. I would love to try it with some honey. I'm guessing they have packets I just didn't think to ask. Guys. The Bo-Berry biscuits are DELICIOUS!!! Just opening the box was a treat. I hadn't had BoJangles in about a year. So, when I found out we were getting one, I was interested in trying it out. However, I should've done my research before getting my hopes up. I found out when we arrived that this location does not do regular pieces of chicken. They only carry tenders and sandwiches. When we arrived, we saw that the hype was real by the drive-thru line wrapping around the building. We decided to skip that line and dine in. The ordering process was a bit rough, but that is likely due to the location being so new. Luckily, the cashier got a little assistance from what appeared to be a more seasoned employee. I ordered the chicken sandwich combo with fries. The food didn't take long at all, so we made the right decision to eat inside. The sandwich was a decent size, and it was fresh and hot. It was well seasoned and even had a bit of a kick to it. The fries, on the other hand, were not. They were old and cold. I pitched them in the trash after a couple of bites. The inside was a bit on the dirty side, so that was a bit discouraging. I think as this place gets older, they will get better at running it. I do wish that they had regular chicken pieces. Stopped here on our way home. Decided to try it since we don't have one. Got the tenders, biscuits, bo berry biscuits, and jalapeño ranch. WE asked for the peach honey but it was forgotten. The chicken is good and has spice. The biscuits are moisture. The bo berry biscuits stole the show! Also got the peach cobbler but haven't tried that yet. I grew up in North Carolina where Bojangles was my family's most popular choice for fast food. While the chain has some consistency issues that differs based on location, I always found the food to be a comforting respite. Now that I've lived outside of Bojangles territory for over 15 years, I always make it a point to visit whenever I travel to the South. As soon as I found out that Bojangles had opened a new location only 3 hours drive away, I had to add it to my 2024 Eclipse road trip through Indiana and Ohio. I normally don't review the Bojangles I visit (I've actually visited 4 or 5 locations in the past year or so on my travels), but I found this one unique enough to warrant some attention. The three things I judge Bojangles on are the fried chicken (bone-in of course), the biscuits, and the sweet tea. For some reason, this location does not have bone-in fried chicken which I find to be an absolutely bizarre choice. It's like opening a Chick-fil-A without having chicken sandwiches or a McDonalds without burgers. Then again the menu overall at this Bojangles is bizarre in general. In addition to the bone-in chicken, they are missing a wide variety of sides and several other popular items. Bojangles has some of the best fast food biscuits you can get , and yet the menu here doesn't show that you can buy these ala carte, which is what I usually order. Luckily the worker knew what to do when I requested those items. Bo's Chicken Sandwich ($5.49) - As an alternative to bone-in fried chicken, I got the sandwich. This includes a deceptively large fried boneless piece of white meat chicken. The breading is applied quite liberally, making several offshoots of only breading that jut off the main body. The breading makes a piece of chicken probably less than one inch in thickness poof up to almost two inches at the thickest end. The breading is appropriately crispy and isn't oily. The chicken is white meat, but does have a good moisture level on the interior. The exterior has an appropriate amount of the cajun Bojangles seasoning applied. I find that locations can be pretty inconsistent in the amount of seasoning they use - this one is pretty much on the dot. There's a large dollop of mayo applied to the top bun, which allows just enough moisture in every bite. And of course two tangy pickles on top of the chicken. The chicken in this sandwich is unfortunately not centered in the bun, but it's able to grip the soft bun so that none of the ingredients slide around. (4/5) 6 Biscuits ($6.39) - The biscuits have a very nice golden brown color on the top. The exterior on the bottom has a developed crust that adds a bit of a crunch. The top, with the nice coloring, only has an almost imperceptible skin. Instead, it's mostly soft and fluffy, matching the interior. The interior is fluffy and buttery throughout. In most other Bojangles, I've found that the biscuits are kind of layered, so the biscuits are able to split apart right in the middle. This biscuit, on the other hand, is super fluffy and doesn't have any delineations on the inside to split. The dough feels quite a bit less salty than other Bojangles on the interior. This could be because the salted butter mixture that they usually brush on top of biscuits isn't applied as liberally here. Several pieces actually seemed to be missing this entirely. (3/5) 1/2 Gal Sweet Tea ($3.99) - The sweet tea is the most difficult for any Bojangles to mess up. This one is no different. Good sweetness combined with a strong caffeinated tea flavor. I'm somewhat glad I don't live in the South anymore, otherwise I would probably have diabetes. (4/5) After eating at this Bojangles, I actually think this location is above average for the chain, hence my rating of 4. I still don't really consider this to be Bojangles since they are missing way too much - they probably should have rebranded as a Bojangles Express/Lite, or something similar just because there are far too many missing offerings. read more

I was shocked when not only was there no Cheerwine soda and only chicken tenders. I'm used to Bojangles selling chicken wings, thighs& drums. I don't think the tenders are good. I'd much rather have chicken wings, thigh, drums etc. I will only be back for biscuits. Very disappointed w/ the menu choice for Ohio. Service: Service was slow. I love Bojangles and I'm glad it's here in Ohio I wanted to mention though that Bojangles MUST BE EATEN WITH WHITE GRAVY! The chicken the biscuits the fries ALL BETTER WITH THAT WHITE GRAVY! Unfortunately while we were able to get chicken biscuits later in the evening they stopped selling the gravy after lunch I guess! That takes this review from a booming 5 stars to a solid 4. Went on a Saturday evening for late lunch/early dinner about a week after opening, the line is starting to die down a bit, there were maybe 10 cars in line, max. It did not take long, maybe 10 mins wait. It was well organized, the good news is a girl came up to our car and gave us a menu to look over, the bad news is the menu did not have any prices on it. (I'll post a pic that has prices). We didn't quite get to the electronic menu before two girls with iPads took our order, again we couldn't see the screen with prices. The prices aren't unreasonable, they are on par with all the other fast food chicken joints around town, it's just that I would like to know in advance. Our carload got a bit of everything to sample. Here's our breakdown, and it's just our personal opinion, using Popeyes as the closest competitor to their style of southern chicken. The sweet tea is amazing. Reminds me of Luzianne tea. The chicken sandwich comes in a box, a plus. It's heavy on breading though, it is not as good as Popeyes chicken sandwich and we though it was just ok. The chicken fingers were decent, better than Popeyes. The Baked Mac and Cheese is great, the dirty rice was just ok. The fries were ok, Popeyes are better. The biscuits are what everyone says they are, fantastic, borderline donut texture. But our favorite item was the Bo Berry Bisquits. Blue berry infused hot biscuits covered in icing. Holy Moses these were amazing!! If you go only for those and a sweet tea it's a win. Note* There's no bone-in chicken on this menu, in case that's what you're after, just a heads up. I'll be headed back for breakfast soon, I can imagine since they are bo biscuit centric then it will be delicious. I'll report back on that later. Update** Returned to sample the breakfast. Was a little later in the morning so while they still serve breakfast until 2pm they change the menu boards in the drive thru. The egg tastes made to order and not oddly fake like the ones a McDonalds. The hash brown rounds were crispy and delicious. The coffee kind of sucked. It was basically coffee flavored boiling water. I've never had bojangles before, and the flavor was amazing! I know some people are disappointed they don't have their full menu. I'm not really a fan of chicken on the bone so this menu is perfect for me. I had a breakfast biscuit, my friend had a number 10, and my husband had the number 8. The potato hash browns were great and the biscuit flavor was good too- similar to chick fil a's but like I said- more flavor. My friend did say the seasoning on his fries got a little overwhelming with the salt so he drank is Pepsi quick to balance it out. My husband had no complaints and said he would definitely have it again. We hope to go back soon! read more

Grand Opening- pretty smooth at 5pm - ordered inside as the drive thru was miles long. Waited about 10 minutes in line and about 20 minutes for food. All in all not bad - the staff was friendly and my chicken sandwich and fries were cooked to perfection. While waiting I overheard a man from Corporate Bojangles explaining that they chose not to bring bone in chicken to start as it is very labor intensive and takes a long time to cook in comparison to boneless chicken. He also mentioned they aren't offering mashed potatoes or green beans to keep the menu simple. I love Bojangles. Stop all the time when visiting North Carolina. Was excited to get one in Ohio. I've been here three times. First time was pretty bad, but I wrote it off to being brand new and not having things figured out. Second time also not so good, figured they were still trying to find their mojo. Third time, it's been months since opening. Fries are so salty you can't eat them, and they are soggy. They were out of Bone In chicken, out of beans. The Dirty Rice was still decent, and the chicken was cold and felt like it's been there for hours. The biscuit looks like someone took a bite, I'm sure that's not the case, though, but it was tasty. This is not the Bojangles I love from the South. I drove to Hilliard from Worthington with my mouth watering for a country ham biscuit and it's not on the menu here. I got the steak biscuit instead and it was fine to better than average. The fries were ok enough. The service was adequate. The restaurant was really clean so that was nice, but didn't make up for the lack of Texes Pete's hot sauce packets at the napkins station. That said, I did enjoy the chicken tenders and might consider coming here over Canes. the tenders were bigger and the coating more flavorful. the place is new so very clean and nice inside. The menu is thinned out, too(no mashed potatoes?!?). To me, THIS IS NOT BOJANGLES. This is some cheapened, slim-lined version of it. The breading used on the bone-in chicken is much better than what is on these chicken strips. While the biscuit was good, I would've like to had butter on it, instead of just a dry biscuit. First off, I highly recommend this place, BUT, who doesn't put prices on their menu???!!!!! I am limited (funds) right now on what I can feed the family. Frustrating to have to ask, what is the cost of this this and this After getting over that frustration, I got the 16 piece family meal ($38!!!!!) wow, a bit pricey, but Canes upped their prices too. The chicken tastes like it is dipped in Buffalo sauce before they bread it. It was quite delicious. Their lemonade was way better than chick fil a ( in my opinion, it wasn't as sugary). The sides were amazing also. The dirty rice( I didn't think I'd like B/c I love Popeyes red beans and rice) the dirty rice was awesome, also their coleslaw was pretty decent. Things I didn't like: the parking is hard to get to because of the long drive thru line. A guy even came in to yell at the folks behind the counter because he was tired of nearly getting hit while trying to enter and exit Menards. Bojangles has been a staple on family vacations growing up as soon as we made it to the south so of course we had to check out the first Central Ohio location. The line was pretty wild still even though they had been open for almost a week but it seemed like the staff were doing their best to manage the crowd and had a good handle on things. We were given menus while waiting in line and someone came out to the car to put our order in. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was hot and delicious as usual and was as good as I remembered! I had never had the berry biscuit desert which are delicious and I would recommend. The menu is limited right now which may be temporary until they get more settled. This is my first visit to Bojangles. I waited until the hoopla wore down before I visited it. I heard that all they had were chicken tenders, unlike at the parent restaurants where I think they actually serve pieces of chicken the rumors are true. This restaurant just has tenders, I visited around 3 PM on a Friday. I got the four piece tender combo meal. I opted to get a dirty rice and mac & cheese as my sides when you get two sides they ask if you want to Bo up it or something like. My only complaint was that they were taking orders outside. This was during a non-rush hour, so there was no real reason to expedite this process, there were two cars in front of me and no one behind me. Since this was my first visit I had no idea what I wanted so they had to grab me paper menu which they conveniently had available. It seemed it took more time to do that than look at the menu at the drive-through and place your order. Everyone was super friendly. My order got done very fast and everything tasted pretty good. WARNING: NO BONE IN CHICKEN HERE, ONLY TENDERS, sandwiches, and sides. I've been to Bojangles before about a decade ago in the military in the Hampton Roads, Norfolks, VA Beach area and it was good then so I'm familiar with the chain. This spot was built up from the ground up in front of a Menards. Luckily I was able to time when I went as I pulled up on the edge of breakfast and lunch being served at 10:30 am although they still serve breakfast until 2pm. They're currently getting slammed as they have a lot of kinks to work through. Their drive thru setup is a complicated maze of a lot of orange cones and signs that wraps and weaves all around out into the Menards parking lot. I had to go through the maze go all the way around the building, cut around folks at the drive thru window, and then get in line. YES, ITS THAT BUSY RIGHT NOW AND THEY APPEARED SWAMPED. On the other hand walk in seemed to get their food faster as I saw some folks walk in and walk right out with their food while I waited about 20 mins in the drive thru. Don't get me wrong I knew it would be like this for a place opening up probably their FIRST LOCATION in all of Ohio so technically I couldn't get pissed off or impatient. They've got like 20 staff outside directing traffic and taking orders with tablets and the young lady I dealt with was pleasant. They've got two guys working the outside window to ask you what your order is and then to hand deliver it to your car. They should've built a WALK OUT door type drive thru to hand you your MASSIVE yellow boxes of food. Upon ordering I was shocked they didn't have bone in chicken. The website shows they have it. Decades ago in VA at Bojangles they had it. I wonder what changed? Is it because this is a new location? A bone in chicken shortage? Supplier issues? Will they serve bone in in the future? There were a number things on their menu they didn't have but I didn't expect them not to have bone in chicken. Once you're in their drive thru they've got it set up that you just can't drive off. If I wanted tenders then I would go to MID Raising Canes or that new spot called LENNYS that is just like Canes. Nevertheless I ordered a family meal and kept it pushing. Family meal of 12 tenders two sides, four biscuits, an extra side of fries, and tea was $39. It sounds steep but it is what it is. Welcome to the 2023 world of inflation. If anyone has read any of my other long reviews then you'll know I was out in LA and paid like $90 for a Willie Maes family meal and don't regret that cost or Bojangles cost. The tenders were hand breaded, juicy, and flavorful but could've been bigger. The biscuits appeared and tasted scratch made and has to be considered the BEST FAST FOOD BISCUITS ANYWHERE. The Mac and cheese was soulfully baked and had a good. Quality and taste to it. Church's Chicken is on life support as there are only a few left in the city and real ones know they had some of the best dirty rice/cajun rice in the game but no longer. That crown can be now given to Bojangles. Their rice is fluffy, flavorful, well seasoned, and delicious. The fries could've been better. They're not bad and have like slivers of actual potato skins on an edge of them yet I feel like for them to be really good you've got to eat them fresh. I checked my box after I pulled off expecting the order to be incorrect but everything was perfect and it was at this time I should've sampled the Bo fries but didn't because my hands weren't washed so by the time I got home they were room temp and just meh to me. DEFINITELY GO HERE if you have a chance but please be patient as they are and the franchise is BRAND NEW TO OHIO. Hopefully in the future once they work out all the kinks they'll start serving BONE IN CHICKEN. We'll be back for their Chicken Sandwiches, Breakfast, and other sides. The chicken tenders are small for the price you pay. Nine dollars for a three piece combo. It's not very spicy. Steak biscuit was good, mac n cheese was alright but nothing to write home about. The potato rounds were very good, especially with the peach habanero sauce. Unfortunately, one of the tenders had a hair in it, but they swiftly replaced it. The sweet tea is not as sweet as the tea at the Bojangles down south. Did not realize I got the unsweet tea 1/2 gallon until I got home. read more

No bone-in chicken? How can you post you are Southern Proud and not serve traditional chicken. Such a disappointment. I guess in need to check the Heath Ohio location or travel South more often. read more

Tried Bojangles for the first time ever. This is a new location at 891 Hilliard Rome Rd, 43228. It sits in front of the new Menard's. This is the only Bojangles location in Columbus, OH. I stopped to pick up lunch from there on Saturday, July 6, at 11:00am. First thing I noticed was the restaurant exterior and grounds looked clean. Second, there were 2 young ladies next to the drive-thru lane taking the orders using handheld electronic devices. The only other place I've seen that is Chick-Fil-A. I like the human interaction as well as the computer angle. The clerk welcomed me and asked if I needed a menu which I did not as I had looked on the website before coming over. I ordered 2 of the Bo's Chicken Sandwiches which is: "A juicy chicken breast, marinated in a secret blend of bold spices and hand-breaded with a crispy, crunchy buttermilk coating, topped with two thick cut dill pickles and creamy mayo, served on a toasted, buttered bakery bun." I cut and pasted that directly from the Bojangles website! I also ordered 2 large Bo's Fries: "Fries generously sprinkled with Bo's famous seasoning." (Cut and paste), as well as 2 Sweet Potato Pies. The one clerk asked the other if they had the Sweet Potato Pies and the other clerk said, no, that's a Southern thing. My clerk did state that they had Peach Cobbler which she said was excellent and so I ordered 2 of those. Peach Cobbler not showing on the website, but it consisted of a Bojangles biscuit base covered with peaches in a peach compote and sprinkled with cinnamon. I shared the info on what the food is described as because if you are like me (a native Ohioan) you are probably unfamiliar with the Bojangles menu (as I am unfamiliar). The clerk taking my order was also able to take my payment on her device. Efficient! As I stated, pulled in at 11:00am and had food in hand and was driving away at 11:08am. Negligible wait time as there were 2 cars ahead of me at the window. Got to my dad's and the order was correct. Lots and lots of napkins, too. Receipt taped to the bag. Fries in typical fries cups (huge portion!!), cobbler in little cups with snap on lids, chicken sandwiches in sandwich boxes. The fries were heavily seasoned. More seasoned than I care for. The first taste to hit my tongue was salty. Too salty. It didn't let up. Some were less seasoned than others and those had a nice potato taste. Slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Dad concurred on the fries. We could have split a large and that would have been more than enough fries for us both. Live and learn. The chicken sandwich was very, very good. Excellent quality on the toasted bun, perfect amount of mayo, cool and crispy thick cut pickle. The chicken was crispy breaded with a juicy breast inside. The chicken was larger than the bun which is never a bad thing. The sandwich had a little spicy heat to it but not overpowering and it dissipated the more of the sandwich that I ate. Dad and I both liked it very much. We waited about an hour before we ate our cobbler as lunch was large and heavy. When we did eat it, we liked it. Dad liked it more than I. I didn't care so much for a biscuit being used as the base. The biscuit was extremely dense and overpowered the peach flavors. I augmented my cobbler with some peach ice cream that Dad had on hand...for added moisture. Lunch was huge and my dinner at 8:40pm later that night consisted of a bowl of cereal. 2 sandwiches, 2 large fries, 2 peach cobblers totaled $26.94. A bit pricey for fast food lunch, I think. The breakdown is the chicken sandwiches are $5.49 each. Not hateful for the size and quality. The large fries are $4.99 each. That's steep. You do get a lot of fries but I felt they were over-seasoned. The peach cobbler was $2.99 each. Not outrageous. All told, I liked the quality of the food and the service was stellar. I will definitely try them again. read more
